VCA Farmington Hills Animal Hospital

We started taking our kitten here for his check up and vaccines and we are very happy with our choice. Dr. Jawad was amazing and you can tell he truly cares. His knowledge definitely shows and he answered all the questions we had and took the time to educate us since this is our first pet that our family gets. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend the clinic.

My fiancé and I visited on 11/08/24 for our dog, Bella, who was dealing with an anal gland issue and a loose tooth. Dr. Jawad did an incredible job showing both compassion and patience with us, as we were very worried and had never faced these issues with Bella before. We were also concerned about a potentially high vet bill, but Dr. Jawad provided a solution for Bella’s tooth extraction, even though the dental services were booked until February. He went above and beyond to ensure Bella was well cared for without putting a strain on our finances. Bella is now healthier and happier, and we feel genuinely grateful for Dr. Jawad’s care. We trust him and feel comfortable seeking his help and advice in the future. I highly recommend this location, as not all veterinarians go the extra mile or have the patience to support anxious pet owners. Thank you, Dr. Jawad!

I'm new to the area and had VCA before. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My roommate is older and quite strong (100 lbs). Prices are definitely higher than I'm used to and I'm using the plan. Edit (September 2023). I wanted to expand on my earlier review and share an update. VCA was a great option for me and my older pet. He was a senior dog. Over the two years+ that we received services from the facility, the care plan definitely helped to keep the cost down. Even if you don't have pet insurance get the care plan. Unfortunately my buddy passed away and the staff was very compassionate, the final options and prices were reasonable and they were very honest with me about his health. I am eternally grateful for their superior level of service and upgraded my initial review from 4 to 5 stars

Front end staff is terrible at communication and nobody has a straight answer on changing the correct way! The older women was very rude and basically blamed petlaind and myself for making VCAs mistake. Also the medication that they gave my puppy wasn’t correct and didn’t work this is confirmed by another vet! I don’t recommend going to this place they are money grabbers!! They wanted to keep giving my puppy that was suffering with a stomach bug the same medicine “until it works it takes several trys” the ladies words! This was wrong my puppy had one dose with another vet and is back to normal I recommend going to a place that truly cares what’s best for your animal

Very kind place to take my 2 babies (cats) to. We made an appointment for one baby, then morning of, the other baby was sneezing too so we brought them both in and asked if there was any way they could check them both out. This place was nice and accommodated us and looked them both over. They needed a round of injected antibiotics and I paid $160 ish ($80 per cat, plus tax). Not sure if the price point matched other places, but I felt comfy and happy with the care the girls received.
