We were never able to get an appointment as the doctor only worked one weekend a month and it's hard for us to get off during the week, especially living out of town. Recently found out our doctor left and we were not notified. We have exotics and we're recommended to come here; now this? I got excuse after excuse on how short staffed they are and they weren't able to reach out to anyone; but they sure have the time to send out mailers on Rabbits we don't have. Animals may be just animals to some people but to most they are part of the family. Asked them if they'd treat their family members this way and not notify anyone about their doctor leaving; no response. Getting fed up with people giving the excuse of being short staffed. Take accountability and do something about it. **so VCA, you asked me to write an email to the hospital manager. I did but you guys can’t respond back. So I get the feeling you put these generic responses on these reviews to make it seem like to others reading these, that you are making an effort when in fact you aren’t. Nice.

Edit on 4/16/2025: Dr. Conrad now works at Peterson Pet Hospital and VCA no longer sees reptiles. We found Dr. Conrad while looking for a vet to see our reptiles. The experience has been phenomenal! She is compassionate and thorough, taking the time to discuss husbandry and answer questions, or consult with a reptile specialist when more information is needed. Prices are perfectly reasonable considering the quality of care provided. One of our chameleons is showing dramatic improvements with treatment. The photo shows our other chameleon at his first visit. We strongly recommend Dr. Conrad for reptile care!

If you care about your pets AT ALL, please do not bring them here. I have been bringing my cats here for years but during my latest visit they misdiagnosed my cat, treated him with medication, and even though he was still showing symptoms two weeks after our initial appointment they dismissed us and told us that he was fine. I recently brought him in to another vet (two months after our appointment here) and they diagnosed him with a severe infestation of ear mites, which was what I had suspected in the first place. VCA charged me around $800 total for the two visits even though they didn't resolve the issue, and when the digital invoice is sent it is near impossible to access it. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

Went in this morning for an appt that was scheduled specifically to line with my job only to be told it was scheduled later in the day which I would have never done. Despite no one else being in the building or parking lot at 805am. I was told all slots for 810am were full by Sue (who was unfriendly from the get go, no kind words or apologies)- and when I stated I wanted to cancel the care club membership I had signed up for- was quick to give me the number to do so. There was ZERO attempts to retain our pups as clients, which cool I get it- it was clear I wasn't happy with a wasted trip... But you'd think there would be a smidgen of compassion.

I am sorry to have to write this because I truly wish to be kind and positive. But, i have brought my animals here for many years. Mainly because it was close and to be a loyal customer. On multiple occasions the person answering the phone has a negative tone, so unpleasant- I feel she must be irritated to have to speak to customers. Let alone ones that have spent thousands at this clinic. One of the veterinarians is not very kind either. I will not name names but she clearly disliked my dog. Also, the animal hospital down the road is about $200 cheaper for exam and vaccines. ETA: I had also brought my cat here with an obvious ear problem. No ear mites but they gave me no solution either. Totally blew me off. BTW it’s the same vet that didn’t like my dog.
