Dr. Musgrave is truly amazing! I've been taking my dog to her for over 3 years now and I will never go to another vet! My dog absolutely loves Dr. Musgrave. She's compassionate, communicative, and great at answering all of my questions. My dog is leash reactive around dogs which can be stressful at the vet, but the staff is always accommodating in putting us in a room as soon as we get there instead of waiting in the lobby. They're also great at fitting us in the schedule (same-day or next-day) to be seen by one of the vets if any emergency comes up. Very grateful for VCA Durant Road!

My baby has been going to VCA since she was 12 weeks. She is terrified of other humans and has to be slightly sedated at her visits. Dr. Musgraves along with the technicians, assistants, and front desk staff have been so amazing with her and she is now 3y old. I live over an hour away from Raleigh and my other dogs see a vet closer to my home but because VCA has been soooo amazing with my “quirky” girl, I make the drive and will continue to do so just for her. They know EXACTLY what to do to make her feel ok which is what makes me feel good. Thank you all at VCA for making my life easier by keeping Eggo healthy and safe during her visits. 🫶🏼

They've been able to squeeze us in during an emergency, and the staff has always been friendly, but unfortunately we've had two swings and misses with VCA. Our first visit with our Eldest pup a few weeks ago; It was a difficult situation to figure out what exactly was wrong due to her variety of symptoms (UTI combined with a histamine reaction from a pre-existing mast cell tumor granulating) but the Vet seemed just as unsure as we were of the issue aside from the UTI. Her other symptoms continued and we took her to another Vet; who was able to figure out the issue quickly and communicate it clearly. The second and most recent visit was with our other pup who happens to be a pit mix who is nervous with strangers (he barks). It was again an urgent situation and they squeezed us in at the end of the day, so for that I'm thankful, but this visit unfortunately didn't feel very thorough as the Vet was very nervous with our boy from the moment he walked in. He didn't seem like he knew how to be comfortable around nervous animals, which isn't the best trait for a Vet. The Vet requested we muzzle him, which we agreed to make him feel more comfortable, but he still did not seem relaxed and skipped taking his temperature out of fear of touching him (he was muzzled and we were holding him, there was no snarling or teeth, just grumpy growls). Symptoms again unfortunately didn't improve with him either, and we took him to another Vet (the same one we ended up taking our Eldest pup) who took a moment to make him feel comfortable and relaxed, and proceeded to examine him, muzzle free. They also were able to figure out his issue after looking at him more thoroughly. I'm sure they do well with a lot of patients, reading other reviews, but they did not do well with us. I would highly recommend Petfolk in Wake Forest!

I have always been very pleased with the vets and techs at this facility, but the compassion, patience, love and understanding shown by Dr. Musgrave and Becca as they assisted my Josie across the rainbow bridge was amazing. I will always be grateful - thank you so much.
