They left my dog's IV in today. After being referred here by another vet for my dog's seizures, we left with no answers and no treatment plan other than to go somewhere else. We also asked for medication for my dog's ear infection, which the Dr. forgot about. This is not what I have a problem with. What I am furious about is that they left the IV in my dog's arm, not once mentioning it was still in there. Her arm wasn't shaved, so the tape ripped out her fur no matter how carefully we took it off. This is a very disgusting treatment of an animal you are supposed to care for. Leaving an IV inside of a patient is dangerous and lazy. You can't even say it was out of convenience for a future veterinarian to use, as they don't. You wouldn't send a human home with their IV still in. Why is it okay to do to a dog?

Oct 23, 2024 · Zebedee RavenI can’t say enough about the incredible care and compassion we received at VCA Deer Creek. Our beloved cat, Dave, was facing a difficult situation, and from the moment we walked in, the entire team treated us with kindness, patience, and understanding. Dr. Kelly Breslin and the staff were not only thorough in evaluating Dave’s condition, but they also took the time to explain everything with such empathy. When we learned that he needed eye removal surgery, they didn’t just deliver the news—they walked us through the process with genuine care, making sure we understood our options and felt supported every step of the way. It’s never easy to face tough decisions about a pet’s health, but the compassion and professionalism shown by VCA Deer Creek made all the difference. We are beyond grateful for their dedication to both animals and the people who love them. Thank you for treating Dave like family and giving us peace of mind in such a challenging moment. If you’re looking for a veterinary team that truly cares, this is the place to go.
Feb 28, 2025 · Manny RodriguezThis animal hospital helped immensely, getting us through a very tough time. If I have a complaint at all it is that the pricing is to high. But regardless, we had an emergency and were thankful this place was there. The staff and doctors are great, I have no complaints there. I must also say that when it came time to say goodbye to our furry family member I can’t imagine a nicer send off than what this place provided. Over all I was pleased with this hospital and everything they did to try to help figure out and solve the sudden unexpected issue that prompted us to seek help. Sometimes there just isn’t anything that can be done and if or when that time ever comes again with another furry family member, I will not be going anywhere else but here to say goodbye. -Thank you Deer Creek Animal Hospital for all you did to help, and also for taking the sting out of an otherwise very painful and unexpected goodbye.
Mar 01, 2025 · Wikid AI had a senior dog of 12.5 years that in early January 2025 I established as a new patient with Deer Creek Animal Hospital. He had been having some issues and I wanted to have a clinic close by in case he needed them. I set up an initial visit with one of the doctors and he was very thorough and suggested some bloodwork and an ultrasound. Dr. Lupe listened to me about my dogs history and what was going on. I was very comfortable with his recommendations as I was seeking answers as to why my boy wasn’t feeling good. Several days later he had the ultrasound which showed a softball size tumor on his liver. Very sad day for me and my pup as he was my best friend. I can tell you that the staff at Deer Creek was incredible from the day I went in to make his 1st appointment to picking up his Urn. Their kindness and compassion was very touching and they helped me make the decision to put my boy out of pain more acceptable. From every phone call to visit and afterwards they were helpful and I’m grateful to them. Thank you.
Feb 04, 2025 · SusanLet down after let down at this Vet. Confirmation email says appointment at 12:20. I get there at 1215. In a patient room until 1245 before going back up to the front desk, because it's a vet, right? No one can predict how the day is gonna pan out with extended appointments, emergencies and so on. They said my appointment wasn't until 1230 anyway, weird. Saw a vet tech at 1255 then waited another 10 min before leaving. Just set the expectation right away, "hey, so and so is running behind today there will be a little wait". Most hospitals have a board that let's you know if your provider is on time. I don't think I've ever seen a vet here within 15 min of my scheduled appointment. Spent a lot of time and a substantial amount of money at this vet. Time to move on. Edit: sent an email to the email provided and never heard anything.
