Dr Cleland is my favorite vet ever. He actually took the time to REALLY listen to me. I felt seen, heard, and respected. I placed a tremendous amount of trust in him to do surgery on my 17yr old cat as well as a tremendous amount of pressure and he did not fail me. I鈥檓 incredibly grateful. Going to the vet is normally very stressful for me and it鈥檚 a big relief to have found a vet I can trust. Update: A puppy recently came into my life and I went here for her vaccinations. They have been really wonderful and remember Bijou every time. I am grateful to have a vet close by that I feel good about going to.

I have taken my miniature schnauzer to VCA twice now, and both experiences have been absolutely amazing. Our first visit was in May 2023 with Dr. Sarah Brown Pickett, who was so kind and gentle with my stubborn little pup. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure we were comfortable with the treatment plan. Most recently, my dog had a growth in her ear, and we saw Dr. Erica Freihaut-Smith. Once again, we were met with such compassion and professionalism. Dr. Freihaut-Smith not only explained the procedure clearly but also ensured that I had detailed instructions for post-care once my dog was home. The way she handled the surgery and post-op care was beyond reassuring. In addition to the amazing doctors, every staff member I've encountered at VCA has been incredibly sweet, caring, and helpful. I鈥檓 so grateful for the care and attention my dog has received here, and I can鈥檛 recommend VCA enough!

We've been going to VCA for several years now and are now seeking out a new vet. At VCA you'll get the care you need, and then some, and not in a good way. This clinic seems to be more interested in money than care. We have 5 cats and when we bring them in, whether routine or for illness/injury, we can't help but just feel like a number. The vets and techs just seem to input your symptoms into a system and pump out a formula for treatment without really seeing your pet as a WHOLE (ex. We have a cat that's FIV+ and they suggest procedures and additional tests without really thinking about/talking through long-term recovery/impacts; I had to ask a million questions to be able to make an informed decision and it meant turning down their suggestions bc they're suggesting putting him through more than is necessary, and then they make you feel guilty for turning something down when I'm just seeing my pet on the WHOLE and not just this isolated incident/issue). It means they push meds and tests and treatments on your animal that don't really help, leaving you with massive bills and a half solution. Overall, we're frustrated with the care and costs at VCA. Your pet will be safe here; it's not a careless place by any means. But it's also not the kind of holistic and compassionate place we need/want.
