Your cat will be so grateful if you bring them here. It’s a calm, cat only environment filled with staff who love and are experts in caring for cats. They are simply the best cat focused vet specialists. Dr. Palopoli, Emma, Chelsea, Vanessa, Katie and the team were all so caring during a difficult time when my cat had kidney disease and lymphoma. I didn’t feel rushed or judged for wanting to spend some time with her after her diagnosis. Emma was so empathetic and called several times just to see how we were doing. Chelsea went out of her way to make sure that my cat had adequate painkillers for her time in hospice. Even her final hours were surrounded by caring staff and Dr. Palopoli who took time to pet her and let her and me relax. I trust them implicitly with my cats. They. Are. The. Best.

Apr 20, 2024 · Adrienne RutledgeDr. Leavey has been my cat Nicholas’ vet all of his life (he’s 13 years old) and she recently took care of him through a difficult diagnosis. After a month of excessive grooming, scratching, and weight loss he’s now doing much better and I am so happy.. She knows what she’s doing and she cares about our animals. Excellent care! Above and beyond.!
Feb 27, 2025 · Nancy BrowneFor over a year and a half I have been taking my cat to Dr. Willis at VCA City Cat at the recommendation of 2 ophthalmologist vet specialists in RI. It is an understatement to say how much she has done for my cat, and therefore, me!! At moments when I felt like giving up, she gave me hope. She is honest and straightforward and I need that. What I most admire is her tenacity. She doesn't give up! She is steadfast in what she does and methodical in every decision she makes. We know that every good leader has a supportive team. For me it is Kayla and Coburn! Kayla greets my cat like he is one of her own! She meets us at every appointment and gathers new and relevant background info...like my cat is the only one she sees! And we know that isn't true! Coburn is equally kind and caring, except with me moreso than my cat!! If he knows I have had a problem with a family member, feline or person, he asks how everything is. He goes out of his way to return my calls and to schedule us at the best possible time. I needed to make sure that Kayla and Coburn know that their efforts do not go unnoticed. Travel time to VCA is 3 to 4 hours round trip, but I don't even think twice! It's worth every minute, and I think my cat has started enjoying the journey!! Thank you to VCA City Cat!
Feb 20, 2025 · Sandra ClunanI always have such wonderful experiences with the vets and staff at VCA. They truly love and care about the cats they take care of! They’re always ready to answer questions on the phone and help out in any way they can!
Feb 08, 2025 · Ally CorlettI almost never write reviews, but I need to share how phenomenal City Cats made the process of putting down my childhood kitty. I am new to the area and brought my cat in on Tuesday because he stopped eating and looked sick. When I brought him in they were very straightforward on what tests need to be run. It was determined that he had kidney failure, and while an incredibly difficult decision for me, it was decided it was best to put him down to avoid any further pain. They help me set an appointment for the next day so I could have one more night with him. The day of the appointment the experience was unrivaled. It was professional and thought out for both me, as the pet owner, and my kitty. It started with having someone at the door to greet me and take me straight back to an exam room so we didn’t have to wait with others (Unbelievable! I didn't even ask for that but it was so appreciated). From there the vet was waiting for us and came into our room almost immediately. She clearly explained everything that was about to occur and reassured me through my last minute hesitation I was doing the right thing (I was a bit of a mess). Once I said okay the vet gave me some last minutes with him and waited right outside the room until I was ready. When I gave the word, they took him away in the towel I brought him in, prepared him, and then brought him back into the room in a little basket still wrapped in his towel. He looked very comfortable and I knew he was in good hands. The whole process went off without a hitch it was so peaceful. Right after he passed one of the nurses secretly passed me a little pamphlet for a local non-profit that helps with pet loss grief (Again absolutely phenomenal in a time of great loss). A week later I got a card in the mail with his paw prints signed by everyone in the office. I can not stress enough how perfect this experience was. In this moment the best thing a vet can do is to provide the best closure possible with your kitty loved one and they delivered 150%. Please go here for your cat needs. Rest in peace Moe you were the best cat a little boy could have ever wished for and were a great companion through college and adulthood.
