My dog, Kona, got excellent care for her broken tooth. Dr. Larson was very good and checked up on her afterward to make sure she had everything she needed. I also observed Katie in the office working out in the lobby checking on everyone who was waiting in such a kind and helpful way. Everyone in the clinic was kind and helpful.

VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital Introduce
Welcome to the local introduction of VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital, situated at 118 SW 15th Ave, Battle Ground, WA 98604, USA. As part of the well-known VCA (Veterinary Centers of America) network, this Pet Hospital aims to provide a comprehensive range of veterinary services to the local community. This introduction seeks to offer an objective overview of the environment, services, and features based on the available online reviews from local customers, highlighting both positive and negative feedback to provide a balanced perspective for potential users.
While specific details about the physical environment of VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital are not extensively described in the provided reviews, being part of the VCA network often implies a facility equipped with standard veterinary amenities. This typically includes examination rooms, surgical suites, diagnostic imaging capabilities (such as X-ray), a laboratory for in-house testing, and a pharmacy for dispensing medications. The environment is generally designed to be professional and clean to facilitate effective medical care for animals. One positive review mentions observing a staff member, Katie, working in the lobby and checking on waiting clients in a kind and helpful manner, suggesting a welcoming and attentive front-of-house presence.
VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital likely offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services, consistent with the standards of the VCA network. These typically include routine wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care (as highlighted in one positive review regarding a dog's broken tooth), diagnostics (including laboratory tests and imaging), treatment for illnesses and injuries, and various surgical procedures. The positive mention of Dr. Larson providing excellent care for a dog's broken tooth and following up afterward indicates expertise in dental procedures and a commitment to post-operative care. However, a negative review details a situation where the hospital allegedly refused to help a new cat with worms during a free first appointment, suggesting potential limitations or inconsistencies in service provision, especially for new or complimentary appointments.
Several features can be inferred about VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital based on the customer feedback. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff are mentioned in a positive review, indicating a generally caring and supportive team. The specific mention of Dr. Larson's excellent care and follow-up suggests competent and attentive veterinary professionals. However, a significant negative feature highlighted is the poor new customer experience related to appointment management and communication. The long wait time without communication, the discrepancy between the advertised appointment duration and the actual expectation, and the perceived dismissive treatment during a free first appointment are serious concerns. The existence of a strict policy regarding customer lateness, contrasted with the hospital's own apparent tardiness, as pointed out by a dissatisfied customer, suggests a potential double standard in their operational procedures.
One positive aspect mentioned is the excellent care provided by Dr. Larson for a specific issue (a broken tooth), including follow-up to ensure the pet's well-being. This indicates that the hospital has skilled veterinarians capable of providing quality medical treatment. The kindness and helpfulness observed from some staff members, like Katie in the lobby, also contribute to a positive impression of the clinic's team.
However, the negative review paints a concerning picture of the new customer experience. The lack of communication regarding appointment delays, the apparent disregard for the scheduled appointment time, and the refusal to treat a known issue (worms in a new cat) during a complimentary first visit are significant drawbacks. The comparison of the hospital's lateness policy for customers with their own delayed service raises questions about their operational efficiency and customer service standards, particularly for new clients or those with free introductory appointments.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital in the provided text. The reviews focus solely on the quality of care and the customer service experience. Potential users may need to contact the hospital directly or visit their website to inquire about any current promotions or special offers for new clients or specific services.
In conclusion, VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital in Vancouver, WA, offers a range of veterinary services, including dental care, and has staff members who are perceived as kind and helpful. However, the customer reviews present a mixed picture. While some pet owners report excellent medical care and a caring staff, others have experienced significant issues with appointment management, communication, and customer service, particularly as new clients or during complimentary appointments. The stark contrast between the positive experience with a specific medical issue and the negative experience with appointment handling and new client treatment suggests potential inconsistencies in service delivery. Local users considering VCA Battle Ground Animal Hospital should weigh these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek further recent feedback or clarification on their appointment policies and new client procedures before entrusting their pet's care to this facility.

Oct 18, 2024 · Terri CruzeTerrible new customer experience. Arrived for my 9am appointment at 8:55a, I was put into an exam room almost immediately. I sat in there with no communication until 9:15a, I then went and informed the front desk that I need to leave by 9:45a and is someone coming? The front desk clerk went and asked and then informed me there was an “emergency” and that usually they ask customers to allocate an hour for first appointments. Which isn’t true, because the video they ask you to watch and the instructions they give you as a first appointment mentioned nothing about an hour appointment. Regardless if they had come in at the start of my appointment, 45 minutes would have been an efficient amount of time. Adopted our wonderful cat at the Humane Society and this first appointment is free and I was certainly given that type of treatment. I had to remind the front desk clerk that this is not my fault and that an apology without prompting would have gone along way. She then apologized, but also seemed more annoyed by me, I made this appointment 12 days ago. My poor cat has worms, which I told them and they wouldn’t help, so now we wait two more days in discomfort. They even have a very fun little sign in the exam rooms that say if YOU (the customer) are more than ten minutes late your appointment could be cancelled and you won’t be prioritized on the schedule. Seems like they should take their own advice. Disappointed and disgusted by this experience, go elsewhere if you have options.
Jan 29, 2025 · Kelly TrinkleinVery disappointed with the service and attitude of front desk. They threatened my son under 18 that they were going to call the police if he didn't pay, when I was going to pay. The medication prescribed to my puppy made him worst didn't even use it. I had to taken his poop to check for parasites, no results were given to me. Now check for allergies told them my puppy keep scratching. They give medication without testing for allergies their medications are way higher than other vets or stores. Make sure to get prescription and buy elsewhere if you go with them. They have no kindness whatsoever.
Nov 13, 2024 · Aideet PinedaWe just moved to Battle Ground a couple months ago and our poor doggos have already had to be seen here 3 times. Each time has been wonderful. Everyone is so nice and caring to our dogs. They’ve always gotten great care and good follow up to see how they’re doing. Highly recommend them for your pets.
Aug 30, 2024 · Teresa SalsmanI don’t know what’s with this year and my cats but boy have I had to lean on the VCA a lot. Whether it’s routine vaccines, a senior check up or a small/medium crisis the team at VCA battleground has been incredible. I’ve seen four of their Veterinarians and all of them have been top notch. The techs (Heather rocks!) are SUPER friendly and they make it feel like you are being listened to, and the people up front? EVEN BETTER. Andy and Kim team are an absolute delight and make sure to help as much as they can when you call. Highly recommend this battleground team. From a pet parent with 6 cats who mean the absolute world to me, I trust these folks infinitely.
