VCA Augustine Loretto Animal Hospital

I've been taking my dog here for years, since she was a puppy. When we first started going, we loved it. The vet took the time to speak with us, discuss any concerns or recommendations, and do an exam in the room with us. Unfortunately, things have changed. We came at a slower time as the parking lot was almost empty, no one waiting when we arrived or when we left. The staff was friendly. The tech asked questions and listened although I feel they should have most of the information asked in the patients chart instead of asking questions as if she was a new patient. I had a couple questions I asked the tech which I had to address afterwards myself just from hearing the conversation the tech had with the doctor from behind the closed door. I understand for safety concerns however they muzzled my dog to take her back to draw blood which they've never done before as she doesn't any show signs of aggression. The vet came in the room and said you're all set. That's it. I don't even think she looked at my dog or engaged with her in any way while in the room, not that you have time to in 30 seconds. Had it not been for the one question I asked, that visit with the vet would've lasted under 30 seconds instead of the 45 seconds it did at max. She did not mention anything about my dog, whether she looked good or not, bother taking any time to answer the questions I had asked the tech. In the past, the vet would do an exam in the room with me in the room looking at my dogs teeth, feeling around for any lumps, etc. None of this was done. For the $400 I spent getting the absolutely bare minimum of their recommendations, three things (one being an "exam") on a list of six I usually get, I do not plan on returning and will find another place to go.

I could not recommend this vet enough. Dr Martin has cared for Mousy how we care for Mousy and every one from the techs to the manager has been lovely! Our cat gets regular check ups here and has had surgery here and they always make sure we’re in the loop, taken care of, and get the most out of each visit. I highly recommend the care club if you’ve got a pet prone to vet visits, it has saved us literally thousands of dollars.

I bring my rescue kitty, Button, to VCA Augustine Loretto and they are so good to her. She has seen both Dr. Dawson and Dr. Smith and they both are caring and compassionate doctors. All of the techs are wonderful and take their time with Button. As an office, they are very upfront and honest with prices as well and allow you to be involved with the care plan. Button is always scared to get in her carrier and go to the vet but every appointment always ends up being easy. I would definitely recommend bringing your babies here ☺️

This vet clinic was great, I used to think it was good but when it comes down to brass tax, they honestly do not care about your animal. They only care about making money. They denied my animal It’s medication because of an appointment misunderstanding and MONEY $$ …My animal could die if it doesn’t get its meds, but the doctor on staff decided not to allow me to give my daughters cat it’s prescription… I tried everything…. They refused,, rudely…. I am absolutely taking my business elsewhere. After the rude troll at the front desk, that is apparently the manager there, came out front and offered zero answers and zero bedside manner. I wouldn’t take my animal there ever again! Just a bunch of trolls, ugly money grubbing trolls that pretend to care…. Good luck with your animal there everybody that reads this…

Such kind and compassionate wonderful care. They took great care of our very feisty but sweet “dog-cat” (and I mean feisty in his younger years - felt bad for the techs but they handled him great) when we have needed them. Sadly, we had to euthanize our beloved Mister on 6/19. He’s been with us for so long and through so much. They sent us the kindest momento and card, with his little paw prints and a lock of his orange fur. We got it in the mail today. It brought tears to our eyes. It is so nice, and bittersweet, to have something to remember him by like this, and also warmed our hearts that they did this for us. It really means a lot.
