VCA has provided my mom’s dog Lucy with really great care with little wait time. Lucy had her first seizure and I was so scared and worried. The front desk staff were excellent with providing me support and direction on what to do in case it happens again before an appointment was set. I was able to get in the day after and the provider was really awesome with explaining everything and helping Lucy out. The facility is really clean and you can tell that the people who work here really care about animals. It’s a big pricey but it is a speciality clinic so just keep that in mind. But I rather pay a little more for excellent care than paying less for a place that doesn’t care about your furbaby. Thank you VCA!

My cat passed away under the care of Dr. Michael Hung and I cannot warn people enough to find someone more compassionate and caring. Quite frankly, I am still in shock with his bedside manner. My plan of care in itself cost over $9,000 due to unnecessary testing he pushed us to do, despite multiple attempts on my end that my goal was for him to pass at home with a resemblance of quality in life. He instead pushed us to keep him there and do more testing, ultimately having him deteriorate in the hospital and not at home. But the worst part about this entire experience was that while discussing my plan of care with him, he was forcing me to hurry up our conversation because he "had to move on with his day". My husband and I are both health care providers, who deal with people's loved ones, and have quite literally never heard anyone say something so heartless. Truly an awful human being who did not care what my goals for my cat of 10 years actually were, with no compassion and trying to push expensive tests to obviously make money off of. It is in my experience that vets, unlike health care for humans, have a unique opportunity to provide a level of compassion when death is near and "call it" when they see the prognosis is bleak, allowing families to say goodbye to their loved ones at home. He is not that kind of vet. If I could warn and deter even one family from having to be under his "care" then my time writing this would have been well worth it. Please either request a different internal medicine vet, or switch hospitals completely.

My elderly dog was having a lot of health problems and after talking to the doctor which I can’t remember her name but was extremely sweet and compassionate towards our loss, they have a private quiet room where you can say your goodbyes with all the time you need. Nurses were extremely sweet as well, we thank you guys for being so supportive and kind.

Although I came to VCA under less than ideal circumstances, my partner and I cannot thank Dr. Garnett and Dr. Hernandez enough for their work in treating Siobhan. Unfortunately Siobhan had large-cell lymphoma, and it took her life less than 3 months after diagnosis. Despite the terrible prognosis, Dr. Garnett presented all treatment options in a manner that we could understand so we could make the best decision for our kitty. She prioritized my cat's quality of life until the very end. Even though chemo did not work for Siobhan, the other treatment medications did improve her quality of life, and I do not regret giving it a shot. Having hope IS important, and I am grateful those working with Siobhan gave her the best chance at survival. My cat was very difficult (biting, scratching) at the vet, but the technicians still embraced her despite only ever seeing her spicy side. Kori from oncology specifically was attentive and did an amazing job. I fully trusted her with my baby. All employees I interacted with were professional, kind, and empathetic. In the diagnosis stage, the doctors communicated with one another to help properly diagnose her atypical case. This level of cooperation, to me, was indicative that I had made the right choice in bringing her here. I always received a prompt call-back with questions; I usually worry about annoying the vet and technicians, but they treated my concerns with care. I had a previous bad experience a few years ago with a vet who did not permit me to be with my dog as she lay dying, so I went into this situation very sour and fearful. Those who cared for my little "keeb" have my deepest gratitude for restoring my faith in veterinary professionals. These photos were possible because of the efforts of Siobhan's doctors to give her the best last couple of months possible.

It’s important to share about the compassion their ER team shared when I brought my cat in. These folks really did the best they could and managed the emotional nuances and logical understanding of our pet’s fate with love. Onyx was experiencing a degenerative illness prior to her arrival to the ER, when things abruptly became a critical situation on Monday. It was clear she was not leaving the hospital after talking with the vet. Their team was very supportive and understanding of our painful reality. Letting her go was a peaceful and hard process, but I genuinely want to thank the VCA ER for supporting us through this difficult transition. Thank you for taking the time to care for my beloved Onyx.
