I want to highlight the kindness that was shown by this wonderful VCA. I am visiting from Sugar Land,Tx to explore my Moms hometown. As this was an emotional trip I was driving around and a stray black lab mix ran up to my car when I was at a stop sign by the Lagarde Apartments.. With no choice but to take this beautiful dog and try to find the owner I walked around to only find a neighbor who offered a leash but no idea who could be the owner. I tried calling Animal Control of Anniston to see if they could offer recommendations and a rescue place (number didn’t work)) with fear of this girl being put down… I found this VCA and came in to see if they could scan for a chip(no chip). Explaining the situation to the most wonderful woman at the desk ( sorry I don’t have a name) she offered to keep her and find her a home. It was such an act of kindness as I couldn’t keep her... I could not recommend them enough. This is a place that has heart and compassion when there seems to be less around .. thank you 🙏🏻 thank you for helping Spunk🩷

Mar 22, 2025 · Hilary NicholsAVOID THE VCA CARE CLUB AT ALL COSTS! It is a total rip-off that is impossible to get out of. We bought a puppy last May. We had one round of vaccinations. The dog was way to energetic for me and my wife to handle so we gave him to a really nice family that loves him. But now we can't cancel the VCA Care Club. The Care Club people are totally rude and unhelpful. Their attitude is, "well you signed it" regardless of the services actually used or the circumstances. The VCA vets office in Anniston won't call us back to try and resolve it. It's the nightmare you want to avoid - automatic payments you can't stop.
Jan 13, 2025 · Brad GilbertI’m not usually one to leave reviews.. especially negatively ones, but I can’t let this go unnoticed. Yesterday, my 3 month old chihuahua puppy, had been throwing up clear liquid and wouldn’t eat or drink. The night before she had diarrhea. she had a new treat that she’d never had before. She’s also very very small and eats fast, so we’re always concerned with her choking or getting something lodged in her throat. We have to watch her very closely and make sure her food is small enough for her to eat. When this happened, we rushed her to the only vet open at 12 p.m. on a Saturday, (this place) As soon as we walk in, we explain what’s going on and address our concerns. The receptionist asks a few questions and says, I’ll speak to the Doctor, then proceeds to take the next few people who are picking up dog food and another is boarding her pet. (I’m glad my baby wasn’t actively dying) We sit for about 10 mins before the receptionist comes over and basically says “sounds like parvo and we can’t treat her because we close in 2 hours and we won’t be here tomorrow.” We explain that it’s not parvo. She’s up to date on her shots and she’s never been outside of our home until now at the vet. The doctor never even looked at my baby. Never even spoke to us. They didn’t look in her throat, they didn’t do anything. Just said parvo and sent us away. Turns out, my baby DOES NOT have parvo, and was in fact, sick from the threat she had the night before. I felt like they took one look at me and my baby and decided we weren’t worth help. Maybe I look like I can’t afford it? Hmm.. who knows. I am DISGUSTED by the way we were treated. Maybe if they weren’t so busy pocket watching, they could’ve preformed a few tasks to figure out what was going on with my baby. Money is never an issue when it comes to my furbaby! I’d give ZERO stars if it was an option.
Feb 02, 2025 · Destiny Henderson12 /10/2024 My furbaby Midas collapsed soon after throwing up, and I gave him oxygen and then rushed him to the vca facility. They put him on oxygen, took an xray of his chest, drew blood. Couldn't find anything major. Dr. Agreed for me to take him home and keep him on oxygen, said he should recover fine. After getting home, about ten minutes later he looked at me, meowed twice and threw up blood and died in my arms. I had to pay vca $540, all I have is social security. High cost, poor diagnosis and my less than 2 year old fur baby who loved me like there was no tomorrow died in my arms.
Dec 12, 2024 · Mark KaneVCA is great! The technicians and doctors are very knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional. They truly love our fur babies like they are their own.
