The staff here are wonderful! They were so kind and compassionate. I rushed here after our pup had a seizure last night. I was an absolute mess and they showed us nothing but kindness & empathy. They talked to me before running any test and were up front with what cost would be. The Vet was great and we will be following up with our primary end of the week. Thank you to all the ladies that came to our aid last night. We appreciate you so much!!!

Thank yall for taking care of our baby! They’re attentive, caring and truthful. They checked out our baby as soon as she came in, and it’s great to have a good clinic so close! Can’t complain about prices because pets are worth it. She’s doing great without any problems:3

This is a truly special place. Dr. Moseley is the kindest and most sincere vet or physician I have ever encountered. Him, Caroline, and Dana (plus countless others behind the scenes) made the last 24hrs of the love of my life's (pictured) as comfortable as it possibly could have been considering the traumatic injuries. They did not rush anything and listened to all my emotions and concerns. I truly felt heard and knew that my little guy was receiving the most compassionate and expert care I could ever have hoped for. They looked at my dog as an individual and gave his treatment plan every consideration. Dr. Mosely stayed with me for a very long time during my visits and patiently went over all of my options despite the center being extremely busy. They kept me updated via phone and I never felt out of the loop in his care. I was totally supported throughout one of the most painful times of my life and know that my little guy greatly appreciated the gentle, considerate care he received. I will never forget these people or this place.

The staff was attentive. They got us in a room right away. They kept checking on us until the Dr came in. This wasn’t the first time we’ve been there, but this time was different. We called before hand to ask if they could handle what we needed done, at that time of night, it was close to 11 pm. They didn’t hesitate about telling us to come on in. Which was a relief in itself. My fur baby, Mocha become blind in one eye a couple of months ago. The ophthalmologist had worked extensively with Mocha trying to make her comfortable. A couple of days ago Mocha became blind in the other eye. She was running into walls, she was very disorienting, she cried and whimpered. We couldn’t let her suffer like that, it was breaking our hearts . The reason I gave them a 4 is for 2 reasons; the first is when they put the iv, the tubing was very long. We had to make sure she didn’t step on it or pull it out. Especially with her already being disoriented. Also, this made us very sad, when you come to in take her away for disposal, I feel like you should have asked us to step out of the room when you put her on the gurney. I would say they gave a very nice plaster piece of her paw print, her nose print, and paw prints on paper. They were very considerate, kind, caring. I recommend VCA ER to anyone that has a emergency that can’t wait.

Tonight was one of the worst experiences of my life not knowing what was going to happen to my baby Peanut- he is a long haired tuxedo weighing at just over 7 pounds. He’s always been a little guy, he has always been healthy and active, never misses a meal. He loves cuddles and will fall over at your feet by just a pet. Tonight we experienced our first health scare with him. After he ate dinner he walked in the living room My boyfriend giving him pets & he just collapsed on his back into a full blown seizure with urine following. Never has happened before Ever!!!! Without hesitation we wrapped him in a blanket & rushed him here. OPEN mouthed panting the entire way. We knew the cost of visit would not be cheap. We expected it for the most part, but in that moment money did not cross our minds. After explaining in detail what happened, we were given a room to wait almost immediately. We then are told $750 to get started. They did blood work, a catheter, oxygen, IV. After his blood work came back, his potassium was considered slightly low likely due to hyper salivation. Glucose due to stress. But 191 Pale gums Dehydration Body “thin” he’s always been little Respiratory- now closed mouth panting even on oxygen Unsteady gait, but responsive pupils no nystagmus Borderline anemic. Amylase elevated Liver enzymes normal Blood pressure 98 White blood count normal Heart & ear normal. Pulse also normal Enlarged kidneys Ect. After getting results, we still get no answers on what any of the abnormalities could indicate, but they needed to keep him overnight on oxygen because even on the oxygen he was still closed mouth panting- they gave us time to discuss with the cost $3,000!!!! We barley have that between us to our name. We have to have a place to live. I asked opinions if I was to bring him home would he make it at his rate, would he just suffer. I also asked in desperation to save him if we gave him up, that wasn’t an option. We just don’t have that kind of money. I was told in his state not to take him home in their medical opinion to those questions. Care credit was given an option we could not do either. They had us thinking he was so bad off he wouldn’t make it, that taking him home this isn’t something he will just recover from!! After giving many advice from family we just wanted to see him & make the decisions further at home. Once we made the decision to take him home, we are told all of a sudden he is doing better now on the oxygen. ….. (He was given to us in a closed box because we rushed him in with a blanket. ) we get home I take him out. He immediately jumps out the box, rolls over like his normal self, goes to the food bowl, eats, drinks water and he’s been off and on sleeping normally without any rapid breathing. I’m looking over medical papers for being released & it’s stating they discussed next steps which not at all was discussed other than keeping him on oxygen overnight. That we took him home still in respiratory distress!!!! We took him home & he was not in respiratory distress.!!! I’ve been sitting here doing my own research preparing for his vet visit in the morning. He could have diabetes, which blood work indicates the symptoms of that possibility and that was never even mentioned. We were told NOTHING. Maybe a toxin, which was never discussed for treatment or anything to get his high blood sugar down. They just wanted him on the oxygen because we were told he needed it. We needed answers on why he had a seizure. We didn’t even get medical opinions on what we should treat & what those abnormal levels could mean & what further testing could rule out potential causes. We are defeated, heartbroken, but we are glad he wasn’t suffering without oxygen as we were made to believe. I’m highly disappointed & hopefully we get some answers tomorrow. (I took pictures of his leg they shaved to prove these aren’t old pictures) if you made it this far, trust your instincts, ask to see your pet, and absolutely get a second opinion. I was in disbelief of the reviews when I wrote mine.
