Long review, but I can’t say enough good things about VCA. My Coco went downhill very quickly and I found myself looking for an emergency vet on a Saturday. I live in South Jordan and no one could fit me in. I called VCA in Taylorsville and the girl that I spoke with was so caring and empathetic. She went to ask the vet if they could see me, he agreed to. As I was telling her we’re on our way I walked back to Coco and could tell that she was almost gone, started to panic. I was a complete wreck, but the girl assisting me was so calm and reassuring. When I walked in there were so many patients there. The office was very busy, but she immediately knew who I was and had a room set aside w candles and low lighting. She had the vet come in. He checked Coco out and let me know she’d already passed. He said all the things that anyone going through this kind of loss needs to hear. I was in denial and had a hard time accepting that she was really gone. They told me to take all the time that I needed, so I stayed until I could bring myself to leave. I tried to pay, but they wouldn’t allow me to. They said she’d passed before we arrived. Everyone was so caring and so kind. They even gave me info for a wonderful cremation facility that could pick her up from their office. A few days after she passed I received the kindest card with so many signatures and well wishes. I think everyone in the office must’ve signed it. When you go to VCA you immediately feel that you’re surrounded by animal lovers. They chose their professions because they genuinely care about pets. Furthermore, they also care about their owners. They know how this type of loss can feel and do everything in their power to let you know that their thoughts are with you. (To VCA staff: this was a very hard review to write; it’s taken some time for me to feel up to it. Y’all showed me so much kindness during a truly painful loss. Please know how much I appreciate each of you for the beautiful hearts that you bring into such a tough job every single day.)

Mar 10, 2025 · Winter OkadaWorst experience. There are so many things that went wrong from the waste of money for their care membership to my dr being gone soo much and when we needed them the most, they replace him with Micheal. Who was neglecting my dogs symptoms. He didn’t even check her temp and she was at 104 that week. Wouldn’t re fill the prescription our dr prescribed for Agnese (Bassett hound) he wanted to charge me for extra tests. I went to a diff dr and my dog had bronchitis and pneumonia and a fever. I had to get her on more medication But it was too late. It was so severe that a couple weeks later she died. I am so devastated. I was failed by every doctor rather it’s because they were on vacation or like Michael neglected to even take the temperature of my baby pup The way Michael treated us was like we were a nuisance for being there because our doctor was gone. It was disgusting. Pathetic they care about money more than your pet. I lost my baby who wasn’t even 2 years old bc of negligence and greed! Unacceptable. Shame on you Micheal for giving zero care to my dog when we came to our so called vet… do better or go work at McDonald’s! I’m forever devastated and broken hearted from loosing my baby! All the time and money for nothing!!!!! May she rest in peace my angel 🥺💕🐾 Agnese Presley 🐾💕🥺
Mar 07, 2025 · Mandie SatherWe just put down our sweet boy jack today due to kidney failure. They were so kind and loving to him. So good with us. I appreciate how delicate they were with our sweet dog. Thank you so much for helping us through this very difficult decision
Mar 06, 2025 · amber Burnettstaff is very helpful and friendly, they are the best! I love how they all show they care about their jobs and their patients. Dr Neville is a super caring and an amazing vet. I took my cat in because his eye was irritated and infected, and he was out within the same hour; Brett told me to keep him updated and informed on my cats healing process. never hesitate going to this hospital! will be bringing my pets here for every health need.
