Cares more about your pet than making money. Dr. Holtzclaw is honest and love he is in our community. Our son has taken his 10 month old to Valley Walk and always had a great experience and much more reasonable than other vets. When our 14 year old Josie that hadn't had to go to vet in probably 7 years had something lodged in her stomach, we had to decide to whether to operate or not quickly. Dr. Tony Holtzclaw was great, helped us with the options, possible outcomes, and worked with us to make it affordable to help us have hopefully a few more years with our special dog. Will be a loyal customer from here on out with our Josie and any future pets.

Sep 24, 2024 · SC DADAlright, buckle up for a tail-waggin' good review of Valley Walk Animal Hospital, where the vets are so good, they make fleas flee and tails wag in A-paws! When I first pawed through the doors of Valley Walk with my furball Fido, I knew we were in for a treat – and not just the kind you use to bribe your dog to stop barking at the mailman. The staff greeted us with smiles so bright, I thought I'd walked into a toothpaste commercial. And let me tell you, their service is nothing to bark at! Dr. Holtzclaw, he's the alpha of the pack. He's got a nose for diagnosis that's so sharp, he could sniff out a needle in a haystack. And his bedside manner? Soothing enough to calm a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. He's the kind of vet who's more reliable than a dog's internal food clock. Now, I've been to vets where the waiting room feels like a scene from 'The Bark Knight Rises,' but not here. Valley Walk's waiting room is so welcoming, even the magazines are pet-friendly. I read a tail about a poodle who became a CEO – talk about climbing the corporate ladder! The care they provide is top-dog. My pup came in with a case of the itchies so bad, I thought he was trying to start a new dance craze. But Dr. Holtzclaw and his team treated him faster than you can say 'squirrel!' And the bill? Let's just say it didn't make my wallet roll over and play dead. If you're looking for a vet where the care is so good, your pet might just start faking illness for more visits, Valley Walk is the place. They're not kitten around when it comes to quality care. So, give 'em a visit – your pet will thank you, and that's straight from the horse's mouth! And remember, a vet visit a day keeps the dogtor away!
Apr 21, 2024 · It's DadI took my husky there and was very happy with how Dr. holtzclaw treated him. So, I brought my new dog there too! She has allergies so she needed a shot regularly. She's genetically nervous but handled getting her care there very well. We'd often play ball before a visit to de-stress her and help her see it as a fun place to go. The shots were always done very quickly in the room with me holding her head into my body. So, imagine my shock when we went for her very normal shot and the staff tried to snatch her leash out of my hand. The blonde woman had a muzzle in her other hand. I told her I had brought my own that my dog is conditioned with. I muzzled my dog and the blonde woman snatched her away. What happened "in the back", only the staff knows. But I can tell you how my dog was returned to me. Terrified. She was shivering and had released her anal glands out of fear. On the way home I cried and apologized to her for allowing Valley Walk to treat her that way. All of the hard work I had put in to show her she didn't need to be afraid, they had done their best to destroy. I spoke to Dr. Holtzclaw in the week that followed and he refused to acknowledge any sort of wrong doing on behalf of his staff. He insisted this is how shots were done like we hadn't had it done countless times previously. He told me about another vet that is fear free and for that I am thankful. They treat us so much better with respect and kindness. I have sworn Dr. Holtzclaw and his team at Valley Walk will never touch my animals ever again. And I will continue to tell everyone about this experience and what cruel staff are present at Valley Walk. Hellena didn't deserve that. She never so much as growled, snarled, snapped, etc. We deserved an apology at bare minimum but Dr. Holtzclaw was either too proud or stubborn to provide that.
May 14, 2024 · Ashley TStay away from this doctor! I came to the clinic with 2 sick puppies at 5 pm, but clinic hours is till 5:30pm. Right at the door I was told this visit is going to be expensive because I came without an appointment. I didn't care about money, but I wanted to save my puppies. The doctor came to the room very upset and told me that there is no point in treating them, they are going to die anyway. When I asked if there was a chance to save them, he said no, all your puppies would die, even the ones that looked healthy and stayed home. He didn't even check the vitals, nore weight, and told me it is too late to do anything. He was so rude and unprofessional, so i decided to pay for my visit and went to a different clinic. He didn't even check how much they weighed and put 1 pound on after visit papers, but my puppies were 4 pounds. I paid for this visit $179.43 and got no treatment. We came to VCA, where my pupies got appropriate treatment, and they got antibiotics and fluids. They managed to save all of them. The next morning, all my puppies were eating well and playing. If you love your animals and care about their health, please go to a different clinic.
Oct 30, 2023 · Yuliya KovalenkoMoved to South Carolina nine months ago and needed a vet for my dog and two cats. I found Valley Walk by accident and it was close to my new home. I gave it a try and I am very happy I did. The staff is great and Dr Tony is very knowledgeable in what he does. He will sit and answer your questions until you understand what is going on. I would recommend him with no hesitation at all.. I fully trust him and his staff with my pets.
