The team at UrgentVet really helped me out at 8:30 one night this week. It was an efficient and clear process, from calling to hold my place in line, to being welcomed in by Chris, who was very kind to my dog and explained the process and the pricing clearly, to waiting as they quickly made him vomit, and then the vet explained about what to expect from the injection and what to watch for when I took my dog home overnight. The team is professional and friendly and works well together, they are great with the animals, and they kept my dog and me very calm in my moment of need! My unsupervised chocolate lab had chewed the toes off four Christmas stockings and eaten everything - a load of chocolate, sour patch kids, and caramels, plus most of the foil and wrappers, a plastic Christmas ornament, a small finger puppet, a trick coin, and part of a Chick-fil-A gift card. Even though he seemed cheerful and wanted more supper, I knew I had to get him seen right away. They quickly relieved him of almost 4 pounds of chocolate and other materials that could have caused real problems for him. Happy Holidays and thank you UrgentVet!

Dec 18, 2024 · Emily CooksonMy pup hurt his paw pretty bad. I didnt noticed how bad at first but he kept limping and it would bleed occasionally. I got concerned and started calling around to different pet ERs. Nobody had anytime available and were booked until next week or a long way away with uncertain wait times.. I was able to reach Urgent Vet Park Meadows right away and they said bring him right then. I took him for an assessment and the pad on his foot had a very deep cut. He would need stitches, which meant sedation and I would need to leave him for several hours. Blood work would need to be done as well to make sure he could handle the surgery because he is an older dog and they always like to make sure about any liver function issues. I was given an estimate of the cost prior to any work being done. Needless to say it was a decent amount but was way less than I had anticipated. We talked about reducing some of the blood panels and the doctor agreed to reduce some but not all. She still wanted to make sure he was ok blood work wise. In the past other places have allowed me to remove lots of tests but this ER was insistent that we make sure. I realized from this that they had the best interest of my pet at hand. I decided right then to have them do the surgery. Just as promised they called to give me results of the blood work and said they could do the surgery. A few hours later they called again to tell me he was out of surgery and did great and I could come take him home. I have had my pets in surgery several times over the years but I will say that I really felt like he was in great hands. They could certainly empathize with the cost but I really felt good about them not cutting any corners. Dr Romanko and all the staff were just great. I love the location as well. Easy to get to and convenient with late hours and full surgery staff. Dr Romanko had a great bedside manner and was very thorough. The entire staff made me feel welcome. Clearly, if I have another issue with any of my pets in the future this will be my first call. Truly blessed to have an on-site ER taking care of pets late into the evening. This was a life saver. Thanks again, Bobby Wagner,Centennial
Oct 27, 2024 · bobby wagnerTook my aging (18+) cat in for what appeared to be constipation because the regular vet is closed on the weekend. The "Save your spot" feature online is easy to use, and an automated system sends you reminders so you don't miss out. Once there, both the vet tech and the doctor were fantastically warm, caring, and compassionate. The doctor determined it most likely wasn't constipation, but something else. We looked at all the options including x-rays, a full lab workup, and all, and ended up just giving her some rehydration and an anti-nausea med, and deferred the labs and such to later in the week at the regular vet. They were completely transparent and willing to work with us on what made the most sense, and you can tell they really are in it for the love of the pets they serve. They even have rooms separated by dog or cat, so your cat won't catch the scent of dog in her room and add to an already stressful experience. In the end, it turns out our poor kitty has end stage kidney failure, and we have to put her down today. But I'm grateful to UrgentVet, specifically Ashlyn and Dr. Saunders, for their care and support.
Oct 01, 2024 · Matt WeedenI brought my cat in late on a Monday night to be seen for excessive vomiting. I was able to book a time online, and when I showed up, they were ready for us. The staff there was so very friendly and kind to me and my cat. The doctor was very knowledgeable and did a very thorough examination. Then they priced out all of my options for care, and we’re not pushy at all when it came for me to decide what I wanted to do for my cat. I was very surprised to how reasonable the pricing was, I’m almost certain that my regular vet would have charged me more for the same treatments. The facility was very clean and organized, and I will definitely visit them again if I’m ever in this situation again.
Feb 12, 2025 · Melissia SugarWhat a great place to bring a pet. While we don't want to have this experience these doctors made us feel so good and took amazing care of our kitty. They don't do overnights so they even helped on the getting us transferred to another place. We were able to take him to the new location ourselves. Again nobody wants to be here, if you do need emergency help they are in good hands here.
