As a dedicated Pet Hospital focused on urgent care, UrgentVet fills a crucial gap in pet healthcare by providing a facility specifically equipped and staffed to handle non-life-threatening emergencies and acute illnesses that require timely intervention. Unlike a general practice veterinary clinic that typically operates on scheduled appointments, UrgentVet is designed to accommodate situations that cannot wait for a regular appointment but are not severe enough to warrant a visit to a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital. This model ensures that your pet receives the necessary care promptly and efficiently.

The environment at UrgentVet is designed to be both welcoming and efficient. According to customer reviews, the facility is clean and well-maintained, which contributes to a sense of trust and professionalism. A clean and organized environment is essential in a Pet Hospital setting as it helps to minimize the risk of infection and ensures a comfortable space for both pets and their owners during what can be a stressful time. The calm demeanor of the staff, as noted in the reviews, further enhances the environment, helping to ease anxiety for both the pet and the concerned owner.

UrgentVet offers a range of services tailored to address urgent pet care needs. These services typically include immediate assessment of your pet's condition, diagnostic procedures to determine the underlying cause of their symptoms, and prompt treatment to alleviate discomfort and address the medical issue. Based on the positive feedback, UrgentVet emphasizes clear communication with pet owners, providing quotes for services and discussing various treatment options to ensure informed decision-making. This collaborative approach helps owners understand the recommended care plan and feel involved in their pet's treatment.

A key feature of UrgentVet is the efficiency and thoroughness of their veterinary assessments. One reviewer specifically praised Dr. Whitney Ferguson for performing a quick yet thorough examination, efficiently reviewing lab results, and accurately diagnosing the issue without resorting to unnecessary invasive testing. This speaks to the expertise and experience of the veterinary team at UrgentVet, highlighting their ability to quickly identify and address pet health concerns effectively. The emphasis on targeted diagnostics helps to streamline the treatment process and potentially reduce costs for pet owners by avoiding unnecessary procedures.

The caring and compassionate nature of the UrgentVet team is consistently highlighted in customer reviews. The staff is described as great with sick animals, demonstrating genuine concern for the well-being of their patients. This empathetic approach is crucial in an urgent care setting, where pets may be distressed or in pain, and owners are often worried. The team's ability to provide comfort and reassurance to both the animal and the owner contributes significantly to a positive experience during a challenging time.

The excellent communication provided by UrgentVet is another notable feature. Keeping pet owners informed about their pet's condition, the diagnostic process, and the available treatment options is vital in building trust and ensuring a collaborative approach to care. Providing quotes for services upfront also helps to alleviate financial anxieties and allows owners to make informed decisions about their pet's treatment plan without unexpected costs.

My poor dog was experiencing pain and acting unusual. I noticed looking into his ears they looked infected I called my vet office but they were able to see him until the next week. I then googled urgent vet and this company was near my home and it was so easy to make an appointment online and my dog was seen quickly. He did in fact have a double ear infection. I loved that any charge was explained in detail before proceeding with any treatments. I highly recommend urgent vet

(Long post) This was the second time I needed to take a pet to Urgent Vet in Farmington. I am a panicker and really want to make sure my fur babies are taken care of. Unfortunately the first time was really bad news so I was more nervous to have to take my newly acquired cat this time. I have been working really hard with my new cat to get her stools to firm up, her breeder said her soft stools were normal. Well that morning I went to check and there was a drop of blood on the floor with fecal matter. So I called in, and they immediately got me in. The assistant Ashley was incredible to work with, this is the second time I have worked with Ashley (the first being when I had to put down my previous cat, she was so kind and gentle about it). The doctor came in (Dr. Benson I think) he did the normal heart check and belly prodding and told me she looked fine. Then he stood there.... so I started asking questions about what could be happening and he told me to change her diet. As I stated before, I have been working really hard to figure out what what she can eat to help so I was a bit frustrated. He did not ask to run any test, so I asked about an antibiotic and he seemed a bit put out that I would ask. He said it is better to treat the source than just medicate, which I agree, but there was blood this morning which is usually pretty serious. So he prescribed an antibiotic and left. Well I was a bit confused. Ashley came back in to settle things and asked if any test was asked for and I said no (with relief that she was asking) she told me to wait a minute. She came back in after confirming with other techs that they could run a few tests to rule anything out. She said at the very least they could test the stool I brought in. She presented me with many options and I was very grateful. They ran the fecal test, brought me antibiotics portioned out for ease and were very kind to me. They called the next day to check on my cat just like they did with my previous cat. I would recommend going to this clinic, but if you don't get answers, keep asking questions because someone there does really care. Date of visit 3/30/25

We took our Golden Retriever in on Wednesday because he was so sick. The vet techs were so amazing. They were very kind and so sweet with my sick dog. They gave us estimates for everything before they administered care. The next day they called and checked on him. Unfortunately, he didn't get better and we had to put him down a few days later. UrgentVets end of life care was amazing. We had our own room with a bed. They were so gentle and kind with him and with us. I am very grateful that his last few minutes he felt loved.
