Hands down the best people I have ever met at a vet practice. They took care of my lovely (very fat) cat when he ate a band-aid and I can’t express how wonderful and calming their team was. They were efficient, caring, funny, and amazingly attentive. As a panicked pet owner, the mood upon arriving and the demeanor of the staff changes the entire game- and they excel at this. They took amazing care of Mr. Beans and made us both feel safe and comfortable. They provide an informative process, have the best staff, and ensured we went home with a positive care plan and confidence. I can’t thank them enough!!! PS. If the staff sees this, yes, of course he ate as soon as he got home.

Welcome to UrgentVet

UrgentVet, located at 2305 Brown Ave Suite 2, Manchester, NH 03103, USA, is a crucial establishment within the "Pet Hospital" category, specializing in providing timely and compassionate urgent care for pets. Unlike a traditional 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital or a general practice offering routine check-ups, UrgentVet fills a vital gap by addressing conditions that require prompt medical attention but are not immediately life-threatening. This specialized focus ensures that pets receive necessary care quickly, often at a more accessible cost than a full-scale emergency room, while maintaining a high standard of professional and empathetic service for worried pet owners in Manchester, NH.

The environment at UrgentVet is specifically designed to be as calming and reassuring as possible, especially considering that pets and their owners arrive in states of anxiety or distress. Client testimonials strongly emphasize this aspect, describing the team as "wonderful and calming." The "mood upon arriving and the demeanor of the staff changes the entire game," highlighting a consciously crafted atmosphere of support. Even in a situation like a "panicked pet owner" dealing with a cat that ate a band-aid, the environment facilitated by the staff's approach made both pet and owner "feel safe and comfortable." This suggests a space that is not only clean and medically prepared but also therapeutically conducive to reducing stress. The efficiency noted by clients ("They were efficient") indicates an organized workflow that minimizes wait times, which is critical in an urgent care setting. While the specific layout or decor is not detailed, the focus on patient and owner comfort implies well-appointed examination rooms and a welcoming reception area, all contributing to a soothing and professional atmosphere where urgent medical needs are addressed with empathy.

UrgentVet provides a specialized range of services focused on conditions requiring immediate attention that are not critical emergencies, effectively bridging the gap between routine veterinary care and emergency hospitals. These services are tailored for pets experiencing sudden illnesses or injuries that cannot wait for a regular vet appointment but are not severe enough to warrant a costly emergency room visit. Based on the reviews, examples of conditions they handle include a cat that "ate a band-aid," which requires prompt assessment and potential intervention for foreign body ingestion. Another scenario involves a "very sick" dog whose owner wanted to prevent further suffering, indicating their ability to provide rapid diagnosis and compassionate end-of-life decision support when needed. While not explicitly listed, typical urgent care services would encompass a wide range of common pet ailments such as acute vomiting or diarrhea, minor injuries like limping or cuts, skin infections, allergic reactions, sudden lethargy, mild respiratory issues, urinary problems, and eye or ear infections. They are equipped to perform diagnostics such as blood tests and potentially X-rays to quickly identify the underlying cause of a pet's distress. They also provide pain management and administer necessary medications. A crucial service, as highlighted by a client, is providing an "informative process" and ensuring clients "went home with a positive care plan and confidence." This indicates a strong emphasis on clear communication, thorough discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance, ensuring continuity of care even after the visit. Their service model aims to avoid the higher costs of 24/7 emergency facilities while still providing a high level of responsive and compassionate care for urgent, non-life-threatening conditions.

The key features that define UrgentVet are their specialized focus on urgent care, exceptional staff demeanor, and efficient operational model. Their most prominent feature is their highly compassionate and calming team. Reviews consistently praise the staff for being "wonderful and calming," "efficient, caring, funny, and amazingly attentive." This collective demeanor is a critical asset, especially for "panicked pet owners." The ability to "change the entire game" upon arrival through their mood and demeanor is a testament to their professionalism and empathetic training. Another significant feature is their efficiency and responsiveness. The ability to quickly assess and address urgent situations, as seen with the cat that ate a band-aid or the sick dog, demonstrates a streamlined process designed for timely intervention. They provide an "informative process," ensuring that pet owners understand their pet's condition and the recommended care plan. This commitment to clear communication and client education builds trust and confidence. The provision of a "positive care plan and confidence" for owners to take home indicates a comprehensive approach to immediate care and follow-up support. The "best staff" consistently praised in reviews highlights a team-oriented approach where every member contributes to the positive client experience. The fact that the owner wished they had gone to UrgentVet "5 days earlier" with their sick pet underscores the effectiveness of their immediate and compassionate care, even in difficult situations. Their specialized model means they are optimized for handling urgent cases that don't require an emergency room, providing a crucial and often more affordable alternative.

In terms of promotional information, UrgentVet's strongest advertisement comes directly from the overwhelmingly positive experiences of its clients. The effusive testimonials, such as "Hands down the best people I have ever met at a vet practice" and "I can’t thank them enough!!!", are powerful endorsements. The direct praise for their calming influence on panicked owners and their efficient, caring service effectively promotes their unique value proposition. While no specific discount offers or traditional marketing campaigns are detailed in the provided reviews, the implicit message is one of superior service and compassionate care when it matters most. The clear contact information – phone: (603) 999-4848 and mobile phone: +1 603-999-4848, along with their address at 2305 Brown Ave Suite 2, Manchester, NH 03103, USA – makes them easily accessible for those in urgent need. Their specialized "urgent care" designation itself is a promotional tool, clearly communicating their niche and distinguishing them from general practices or full emergency hospitals. By focusing on providing timely and empathetic care for non-life-threatening but urgent conditions, UrgentVet effectively promotes itself as the go-to solution for immediate pet health concerns, fostering trust and encouraging word-of-mouth referrals within the Manchester community.

Very good experience. The doctors were very responsive to my situation. My Dotty was very sick. I didn't want her to suffer any longer. They helped me quickly. I'm very thankful. My only regret, is I wish I went to UrgentVet 5 days earlier.

These folks took such good care of our cat! Everyone there was kind, respectful, and very focused on meeting our cat's needs. The consultations both before and after the treatment were so thorough and helpful and offered so much information and context about our cat's health. We went for gastrointestinal problems and learned that she has arthritis, something we may not have known for years. I definitely recommend this provider! They made sure we had everything we needed for the near future. Our cat is so much happier and healthier since her visit. Look how comfy she is now!

Was recommended to go to UrgentVet to have my dogs bandage changed from a spay surgery, gone wrong. When I got there, even though I checked in on the tablet, I was noticed before I even sat down. They brought me and Halo in a room to hangout until they could get with us. Katie was amazing listening to the nightmare of details and medications from a week and a half, she was able to retain it and pass it along to the doctor so there was minimal questions that had to be asked twice. Normally, I wouldn’t say this matters but with this whole fiasco, it did. I had asked my vet to close the incision that has been open for just over two weeks. They insisted on me going back every 3-4 days to change it and that closing it wasn’t a viable option. Thankfully, UrgentVet determined the few options that would be best for Halo and one of them was closing her back up. They sedated her, did what they had to do (very quickly) and called me within a few hours that she was ready to go. Super grateful for their quality care and their ability to love on my little girl until I could come pick her up. Would highly recommend.

We brought our Rottweiler in because he tore his back dew claw, and the nerve was exposed. After discussing our options we decided to have the nail clipped, because full sedation didn’t appear necessary to the doctor and tech. The tech explained they would use a “more local type of anesthetic”. Minutes later our dog was taken back to have the procedure. Within less than a minute we could hear him, just beyond the closed door… then a few seconds later we heard the most bloodcurdling yelp we’ve ever heard come from our good boy! Approximately 30 seconds to a minute later our dog was brought back in with his dew claw still barely hanging on! Obviously a numbing agent wasn’t used or “a more local anesthesia”. The tech began to explain they couldn’t cut it off because “he wouldn't stay still!” Are you effen kidding me!!?? I could’ve used scissors to do the same barbaric procedure at home BUT, who in their right mind would ever think that would be okay to put an animal through that type of pain? Well, the Doctor and the tech saw no problem with it. Unbelievable!! On top of that they tried to charge us TWICE for a procedure they never did! My dog left the UrgentVet worse off than when we arrived. PLEASE, do yourself a favor and take your beloved animals somewhere else that truly cares for the well-being of your pet! We will never come back and it’s likely they wont stay in business long based on their barbaric, cruel, antiquated methods of “caring for your pet”. We feel they stole our money and our dogs peace. Heartbroken over the experience!
