Our 15.5 yr old Gizmo was ill when we came home from vacay saturday night. ( he wasn't suffering) They saw him 1st thing Sunday am and were so kind and helpful with the decision we had to make. They made Gizmo's last moments as easy and pleasant for him and us. We got to spend his last 15 mins on this side of the bridge with love kisses and lots of touching. We miss you terribly Giz.😪

I had a wonderful experience with everyone at Urgent Pet Vets. They did a wonderful job taking care of my boxer Lily when she had her ear issues. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of their services. The vet truly loves animals and it shows in her care.

We took our baby in because he was leaking urine earlier in the day, by 6pm he wasn't able to go. We got in there and she felt his bladder was full. The next steps were completely ignored because we told her we only had 300 on hand this was on Wednesday night. My husband gets paid weekly and we have insurance on all our cats. She immediately said no we don't take insurance and there are no payment arrangements it's either care credit or cash up front. Had they taken his insurance my sweet boy would have had a chance even if we would have needed to keep him at the vets to make sure there were no other blockages. He would still be alive instead after learning we only had so much she said euthanasia and because I didn't want him to suffer, without any hope because waiting any longer would have made it worse we put him down as I held him. I am not happy about any of it and to me it really does appear they just need money so if you have it they will treat you really good, if you don't and they know you don't have the funds they will treat you poorly.

Whatever you do, avoid this place like the plague. They are ruthless unprofessional. Money hungry, disgusting people I've ever dealt with in my entire life. They charged me $1,200 to put my dog down. That was two x-rays and one jab. I would not suggest this place to anyone. The doctor has absolutely no compassion. When I called to talk to her about the charges 3 days later she told me that's what we charged. Too bad. They do not care about your pet. It's all about making money. They should be so ashamed to take advantage of people when their fur babies are in trouble. I definitely do not recommend this place. The only reason I gave it one star is because it wouldn't let me leave a review without giving it a star. This place deserves zero Stars.

This is essentially a criminal organization. They prey on people who love their pets. Initially it was our dog , we were charged nearly 3,000 for ex-rays , a shot and a promise that the dog would not live another week unless we considered experimental chemo that would be at-least another 10,000 . That was over two years ago and the dog is fine after rest and daily doses of turkey tail. This time it was our cat, the bill for his kidney issues was estimated to be over 2,600. The alternative offered was 1,000 to put him down. I just accompanied a friend in st pete to put his dog down in a beautiful facility with cremation and a beautiful memorial box for the ashes 600, I would like to know how it would cost 1,000 for a cat when everywhere else I have asked its around 150. An lastly 375 for a shot and the news that the cat would die miserable. Update, the cat is fine after we medicated him ourselves with some pain killers provided by an actual vet. long and short of it is go here is you want to be robbed with a smile.
