I brought my rabbit here and was not very knowledgeable about rabbits yet. My rabbit was sick and showing signs of the snuffles, but the vet told me that she thought my rabbit had Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease. These two illnesses symptoms don’t really have anything in common. I literally walked in the door and answered a few questions and she said “this is a sick rabbit and we need to put her down.” ISN’T THAT WHY WE TAKE OUR ANIMALS TO THE VET!?!?! Because they’re sick sometimes!?!? She (extremely heartlessly) picked up my rabbit and said “do you see how skinny she is!?” She was always skinny and I told her that. She told me that I could have brought this illness into our state through my rabbit. She called us after we got home and told us she could not take anymore rabbits that day and had to give all of her rabbits a vaccine because of my rabbit. As if she hadn’t just put my rabbit down as soon as I walked in the door. No tests. Nothing. She sent her off to the state vet and my rabbit came back as having the snuffles. I will never forget this or forgive this woman and still think about it all the time. I thank God for my vet now and I hope no one ever has to go through what I had to go through. Traumatizing.

Nov 01, 2024 · David BaxterDr. Faega and her staff, Chris and Bonnie are amazingly thorough, caring and attentive. Down to earth vet clinic. Their prices are reasonable and top priority goes to the animals well-being and health. I haven't felt this safe at a Vet Clinic in a very long time.
Aug 30, 2019 · halfpiintDr Feaga is a fantastic veterinarian! She is caring and great with the animals she explains things so clearly. I am beyond grateful! Her assistants are wonderful too!
Aug 25, 2023 · Marchele HillsDr. Faegga has been our family vet for over a decade, but I would no longer entrust any pet to her care, and here’s why. **CONTENT WARNING: ANIMAL DEATH** For context, we first learned about Dr. Faegga from a family friend in the area and have been taking our cats and dogs to her ever since. To say she’s old school would be an understatement. She’s clearly been in the vet business for decades, and her solo practice operates out of the cramped basement of a house at the end of a very long thin driveway in the middle of the countryside on the outer skirts of Howard County. So, there’s that. One of my two cats is FIV positive, which means I used to take her to see Dr. Faegga regularly to receive antibiotic shots, because you can’t beat her prices and I already knew what my cat needed. That said, my own experiences with her have been largely positive, mainly because they’ve been so limited. First red flag: As recently as 2020, Dr. Faegga regularly declawed cats—even fully-grown adult cats. I know because she declawed my cat who I rescued in 2020. At the time, I’m ashamed to say I hadn't done my own research and didn’t understand what an inhumane practice this was, and I trusted her word as my family vet that she knew what she was doing. I have since put out feelers and it looks like she doesn’t declaw anymore since it became illegal in Maryland in 2022, thank god. But the fact that she did so for years in spite of the clear evidence again it is concerning to me. The second—arguably much bigger—red flag has to do with her policies/approach to putting down pets. Namely, she doesn’t seem to have any beyond trusting her own judgment. My experiences here are secondhand but very closely so, and I’ll do my best to explain as succinctly as possible. First experience has to do with the putting down of a cherished family dog whose time was clearly up. The wife (who I knew closely at the time) took the dog into the vet office and Dr. Faegga—knowing in advance that the appointment was to end his life—cheerfully remarks, “Oh, he looks so happy!” Cue years of self-doubt and second-guessing for the owner, who was left haunted with the fear that his time had not yet come because he “looked happy.” Second experience has to do with the putting down of a little dog who didn’t get the chance at life & love she deserved. She was a small white rescue who was always eager for love and yearning for approval. She also wasn’t the brightest tool in the shed, and the couple who took her in showed blatant favoritism toward the other two dogs in the home. They even bought her a shock collar to keep her from fawning too heavily at visitors, which they used intermittently during the last six months of her life. In late January 2024, she bit both the husband and wife seemingly unprovoked several times over the course of two days—one of the bites was pretty severe. Now, anyone who knows pets knows this kind of aggression doesn’t happen out of thin air, and there could be a number of legitimate reasons for an animal to act out like this—trauma, mistrust, confusion, sickness, or some other form of pain, not to mention the shock collar. Within days of these biting incidents, the wife took the dog to Dr. Faegga and explained the situation, and by the time she left the vet’s office the dog was dead. Dr. Faegga did not run any tests on the dog. She certainly did not suggest any alternative routes to try to understand and resolve the aggression. She killed the dog right then and there. Read the one-star reviews on this vet. As another reviewer pointed out, I’m sure Dr. Faegga went to vet school because she genuinely cared about the animals she was treating and had their best interests in mind. That time has clearly passed.
