5 stars is an understatement. Dr.P and staff helped me move my boy Kane to Hawaii. We literally couldn’t have done it without them. They were there every step of the way, he did so much research for me and made sure we had all documents in order. I will forever be so grateful for them. ❤️🙏🏻

Welcome to Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital
Welcome to Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 7910 S 107th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74133, USA, serving the Tulsa, Oklahoma community and surrounding areas. As a local veterinary care provider, we aim to offer a range of services to support the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions. While specific details about our facility's environment are not extensively described in the provided reviews, we strive to maintain a clean and functional space to deliver veterinary care.
Based on the available feedback, Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital offers a variety of services. One notable service highlighted is assistance with pet relocation. According to a positive review, Dr. P and the staff provided exceptional support in moving a pet to Hawaii, handling documentation and research throughout the process. This suggests that the hospital may offer specialized services beyond routine medical care, catering to specific needs such as interstate or international pet travel.
The hospital is staffed by veterinary professionals, including Dr. Gregory Prisinzano and other team members such as Cindy and the front office staff. According to one account, Dr. Prisinzano is described as efficient. However, the same review also presents a contrasting perspective on his interpersonal skills and handling of a sensitive end-of-life situation. This feedback suggests that while Dr. Prisinzano may be perceived as competent in his efficiency, some clients may find his demeanor to be cold or argumentative.
The negative review details a particularly difficult experience involving the diagnosis and subsequent euthanasia of a young dog. The client recounts feeling that Dr. Prisinzano was uncompassionate, argumentative regarding prior treatment choices made in consultation with a specialist he had referred them to, and that the euthanasia procedure was rushed and lacked sensitivity. This account emphasizes the importance of compassionate care, especially during emotionally challenging times such as end-of-life decisions.
In contrast to the experience with Dr. Prisinzano, the review also positively mentions Cindy, a staff member who was described as incredibly compassionate and supportive during the euthanasia process. The front office staff also received positive feedback for being sweet. This indicates that while one client had a negative interaction with the primary veterinarian, other staff members were perceived as caring and supportive.
It is important for local users to consider both positive and negative feedback when evaluating Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital. The positive review highlights a valuable service in pet relocation and expresses immense gratitude for the support received. This suggests that for specific needs, such as navigating complex pet travel requirements, the hospital may provide significant assistance.
However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the bedside manner of at least one of the veterinarians, particularly in sensitive situations involving a pet's critical illness and euthanasia. The importance of empathy, clear communication, and respecting the emotional needs of pet owners during such times cannot be overstated. This account suggests that some pet owners may have experiences where these aspects of care do not meet their expectations.
Given the conflicting feedback, it is challenging to definitively characterize the overall environment and features of Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital. Potential clients may wish to consider the specific services they require and the importance they place on different aspects of veterinary care, including both medical efficiency and compassionate communication.
No information regarding promotional offers or specific features beyond the described services (general care, pet relocation assistance, and end-of-life care) is available in the provided reviews. Therefore, local users seeking information on these aspects are advised to contact Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital directly to inquire about any current promotions, wellness plans, or unique features of their practice.
In conclusion, Tulsa General Veterinary Hospital offers veterinary services in Tulsa, OK, including assistance with pet relocation. While one client reported a positive experience with pet travel arrangements, another detailed a negative experience concerning the veterinarian's bedside manner and the handling of a pet's euthanasia. The feedback regarding other staff members was positive, highlighting their compassion and support. Local users should consider these varying perspectives when making decisions about their pet's care and may want to seek further information directly from the hospital to assess if it meets their individual needs and expectations.

Apr 30, 2025 · Kabrina BrownI will never bring another pet here & would recommend any other vet in Tulsa. Dr. Gregory Prisinzano is very efficient, however he was very cold towards us & our dog. He originally diagnosed our dog, Reece, with a neck injury 6 months prior & referred us to see a specialist. We were given a few options by the specialist & we chose to pursue conservative treatment with chiropractic care, physical therapy, & pain management. Reece was improving and doing great until she suffered a re-injury. This incident occurred on a weekend so we took her to OVS - which was the nearest animal hospital to us. This time, her injuries paralyzed her front legs & she lost total control of her bowel & bladder function… my husband & I knew we couldn’t let her suffer like that for the rest of her days. We brought her back into Dr. Prisinzano. While my husband was trying to explain the events leading up to us coming back in, Dr. Prisinzano was incredibly argumentative & kept interrupting my husband saying things like “what you were doing wasn’t a proper treatment.” Then why did you refer us to this specialist??? We already felt terrible for our one year old dog & he definitely did not help. We requested him to assess our dog prior to the euthanasia to make sure we were truly making the best decision - which he refused to do. He then proceeded to inject her with anesthesia BEFORE WE WERE READY & without saying anything. My sweet girl’s eyes glazed over & neither my husband nor I were ready for that. We had treats we wanted to give her one more time & we felt like the last moments of her life were taken from us. I will say the woman who was with him, Cindy, was incredibly compassionate. She consoled us & even cleaned Reece up so she could pass with dignity. The girls at the front were very sweet as well, but Dr. P was terrible to deal with & we will never return. This already traumatic situation was made so much worse. We advise everyone to find a more compassionate vet.
Dec 15, 2024 · Alyssa PerezIf you plan to take your pets to this facility, it is advisable to ask about the specific services offered and their respective fees. There may be additional charges that could result in a surprisingly high bill. Frequent visits can become quite costly, so understanding the initial expenses is crucial to prevent any financial surprises. The veterinarian (P) we have been visiting could enhance their approach by demonstrating greater compassion and kindness towards animals. We will definitely be seeking a new place for our pets. It often seems as though they prioritize profit over genuine concern when I express worries about my dogs. I believe my beloved pets deserve a higher level of care than what this facility provides.
Mar 28, 2025 · Ruthchelle SobresidaI don’t typically write reviews and never pay attention to negative comments but this needs to be said. Dr. Greg Prisinzano is a genuinely kind, compassionate and caring man; he is also a great veterinarian. I recently went through a very difficult and traumatic event when my 13 year old Springer Spaniel began showing symptoms of Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome ( dog dementia). Bella was with us from when she was 12 weeks old and was one of those rare dogs that was intuitive, easy and always affectionate. She bonded with us so quickly. The disease progressed much faster than I expected. When Dr. Prisinzano first saw her he was honest about the prognosis but also encouraging. He never gave up, recommending numerous options, stayed in touch by calling us with test results and to discuss options. The medication prescribed was hard to find and he would switch pharmacies for us when it was unavailable at our pharmacy. In the end we had to let Bella go. He was unbelievably patient and gentle during the procedure. And we are very grateful for his assistance during a very difficult time. I have had to put down old dogs before - it is never easy. Thank you Greg!
May 03, 2024 · Bill FioreTook care of our Rescue Dog emergency for us right away. They were very nice and professional and did a splendid job with sutures to fix a gash in his thigh, body, face, and just fixing him up right.
