I brought my baby in after she had been in a bad dog fight. I called ahead and they took her back immediately when I got there! Dr. G is amazing and such a blessing. She walked us through every step in the process, explained everything thoroughly, and answered all of my thousand questions. They treated my little girl like family and made sure she was never alone. One of the staff members even laid with her on the floor until it was time for me to take her home. I couldn’t be more thankful for the thoughtfulness of the staff there. I was surprised they didn’t charge me an arm and a leg too. Most emergency places would take your entire savings, but I was surprised at how affordable it is here. I’d highly recommend True Companion!

Based on feedback from pet owners, True Companion Veterinary Care appears to offer a welcoming and supportive environment. One customer recounted a positive experience where their pet received immediate attention after a dog fight. They highlighted Dr. G's thorough explanations, the caring nature of the staff who treated their pet like family, and the surprising affordability of the emergency care provided. This suggests a clinic that prioritizes both the medical needs and the emotional comfort of its patients and their owners.

However, another customer shared a different perspective, mentioning concerns about potentially excessive treatment options being proposed. They advised pet owners to be informed about their pet's needs to avoid unnecessary procedures. This suggests that while a wide range of services may be available, it is beneficial for pet owners to actively participate in understanding and deciding on the best course of care for their animals.

Been here a few times with a young German Shepherd who experienced GI issues. The one thing noticeable about this clinic is the endless options they can propose to bill you more for any "care" provided. Every visit did not adequately address our concerns. We ultimately found another vet that suited our needs better. If you choose to go here, recognize you make the decision for what your pet may or may not need. They will prescribe the whole menu, when you may only need an appetizer. Take the time to educate yourself on how to care for your pet so you go in informed and don't fall for unnecessary procedures.

This place used to be incredible and took really great care of my dog. They put him on medication that he cannot be without. We need it refilled every two months, when he gets down to his last few weeks call for refills and we have to call multiple times before anyone even answers the phones. Then we have to wait DAYS before they fill the prescription. These people know that without the medication my dog cannot walk, his back and legs completely stop working, he’s vomiting and literally in so much pain, but they don’t care at all. Without it for more than 2 days he has to come in, have expensive shots, do laser therapy and may die. It’s HORRIBLE. I don’t understand what happened over the last year and a half, but the lack of care is repulsive.

Was turned away because “the vet is packing up and ready to go home” and/or we are at capacity.” Not sure which was the reason they refused to see my dog in respiratory distress. I was instructed by one tech to just take a picture of the other after hours clinic in the area they had listed by reception and go there. I was able to find a clinic on my own because they did not have that clinic (Animal ER of NW Houston) listed-which was the closest. My son and daughter in law are both vets. I totally understand “at capacity” but it sounded more like the vet was ready to go home as it was an hour and a half before the clinic was supposed to close. Very disappointed.

Dr. Groemminger and her staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. It’s hard when the sick animal can’t really communicate or speak but Dr.G spends time to throughly walk us through different options and possibilities and is a problem solving expert. She doesn’t mess around and talk about off topic items but focuses solely on the pet and the appointment. Before she leaves, she always ends with answering any remaining questions. I can tell she really cares about my pet. She takes her job seriously and very passionate and good at what she does. The rooms are always clean and the facility is neat and modern. She does a good job selecting her staff as everyone there has been pleasant and helpful. I longer wait times complaint that others have are valid but in order to get a high level of care and service it takes time so I understand. Just take your headphones and watch a show or listen to some music. I think this vet and her practice are one of the best.
