So appreciative of these phenomenal veterinarians & their even better staff members. They take such good care of my boys 🤍 Update some months later for another praise : today I had the honor of meeting Dr Pickett who completed my boys yearly exam. We’ve had a difficult time with reactivity and resource guarding, today’s visit was for a full work up that is required for him to go off to behavioral and obedience training. This was no easy task at all, Dr pickett and her techs (who I am so upset I didn’t get the names of) handled the situation and my boy with so much grace. I hope you ladies know how thankful I am for your kindness and your commitment to getting my boys appointment completed today. Dr Pickett, thank you for your kind words & sharing your experiences with me. All of you went above and beyond for us today and I will never forget it

The people on the reception desk are so mean. They could care less about my pet(s). The doctor was recommended by a family member. My daughter was told, “You bring your dog in for everything.” That was strike one. Our pets are family to us. When in doubt we find out the same thing I have done with my children. I attempted to make an emergency appointment for our elderly pet and was told that rectal bleeding could wait until her regular appointment 3 days later. I asked if I decided to change vets would they send my dog(s) records. She said, “Sure” and did not attempt to keep us as customers. We had been customers there over 3 years. We were very, very confused as to why we were treated that way. Martinez Animal Hospital is very attentive and the receptionists are very kind to us and loving to our pets. We deserved better treatment for the money we’ve paid there….

I don't often write reviews but needed a vet in town and Tribby's was closest and they have been so wonderful. I've never had to wait when I go in for appointments. Someonen takes me back before I can even sit. Then at the end, they come to check you out in the exam room you're in so you don't have to wait in line at the font desk with your pet. The vet I've seen has been so kind to answer all my questions. In addition, my dog, a mini dachshund, can be a little nervous. When I take her in she is shaking but when she comes back from the exam room she seems happy and isn't shaking. I told them she must like that! Very happy so far that I went with them.

My dogs have been seen here for many years and they were always given great care….until recently. Dr. Mark Tribby performed a wrong site surgery on my Yorkie. She went in to have a small lump removed from her left hip. At drop-off, the tech confirmed the surgery was to remove the lump on her left hip. Two weeks prior, my Yorkie had been seen to have a needle aspiration biopsy of the lump. Based on results and the fact that the lump was bothering her, I decided to have it removed. Imagine my surprise when I picked her up and found a large 4 inch incision on her right lower back. Apparently Dr. Tribby did not read her chart or notes about her visit two weeks prior. At time of surgery, he felt a fatty cyst on her right lower back and just assumed that was the growth to remove. For perspective, note that there was no previous mention of my dog having a cyst on her back. I never felt it. There was no mention of it in her chart. He nonchalantly apologized, and while i was sitting there crying over my dog being put through unnecessary pain, he said “I’m human, mistakes happen.” And while I understand that, it was not the appropriate time to make such a comment. He was able to take her back to remove the left hip lump with just local numbing - it was very small and required 1 stitch. As compared to the now large incision on the back with 6 stitches.
