Welcome to Tri-Town Animal Hospital
Tri-Town Animal Hospital, located at 93 West Rd, Ellington, CT 06029, USA, operates as a dedicated "Pet Hospital" serving the local communities. This veterinary care facility is recognized for its compassionate approach to animal health, aiming to provide comprehensive medical services for pets in a supportive and understanding environment. It stands out in the community for its personalized care and the strong positive relationships forged between its veterinarians and pet owners.
The environment at Tri-Town Animal Hospital, while not extensively detailed in public descriptions, is characterized by its welcoming and caring atmosphere. Customer reviews consistently highlight the kindness and patience of the staff, particularly Dr. Benjamin. This suggests a clinic designed to minimize stress for both pets and their owners. A calming and professional setting is essential for successful veterinary care, especially when dealing with skittish or anxious animals. The ability of the staff, as noted in reviews, to calm difficult pets indicates a facility where gentle handling and a reassuring presence are prioritized. While specific amenities like waiting room décor or treatment room layouts aren't publicly specified, the overarching impression is that of a clinic focused on comfort and effective care, providing a conducive space for examinations, vaccinations, and other necessary medical procedures.
Tri-Town Animal Hospital offers a range of essential veterinary services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of companion animals. While a comprehensive list of all services is not explicitly provided in the given information, it's typical for a general "Pet Hospital" to offer:
- Routine Wellness Examinations: Regular check-ups are crucial for preventative care, allowing veterinarians to detect potential health issues early.
- Vaccinations: Protecting pets against common and dangerous diseases.
- Diagnostic Services: This would include physical examinations, and likely extends to in-house laboratory tests (such as blood work and urinalysis) and potentially basic imaging (like X-rays), although these specifics aren't confirmed. The ability to identify medical conditions quickly is key.
- Treatment for Illnesses and Injuries: Addressing a variety of medical conditions, from infections to minor injuries. The review mentioning "medicine I needed for my little babies" suggests they provide prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Urgent Care Appointments: The fact that a customer was "fit in twice in one week last minute notice for 2 kittens" indicates their willingness and capacity to accommodate urgent cases, even if they are not a dedicated emergency clinic.
- Client Education: Advising pet owners on various aspects of pet care, including nutrition, behavior, and preventative measures.
Several key features distinguish Tri-Town Animal Hospital, making it a preferred choice for local pet owners. Foremost among these is the exceptional care provided by Dr. Benjamin. He is consistently described as "so kind and wonderful," "the best," and capable of patiently handling even "very difficult and skittish" animals, earning their trust with "a few words and kind touch." This high level of empathy and skill in handling anxious pets is a significant asset. The clinic's willingness to accommodate last-minute appointments, as evidenced by fitting in two kittens on short notice, highlights their flexibility and dedication to helping pets in need, even outside of regularly scheduled visits. Another notable, albeit "old school," feature is their payment policy, requiring cash or check. While this might be a slight inconvenience for some, it suggests a streamlined administrative process that might contribute to their ability to provide helpful and accessible care without the overhead associated with extensive credit card processing. This direct approach to payment underscores a focus on the veterinary service itself rather than complex financial systems. The overall impression is of a highly personalized and accessible veterinary practice where the well-being of the animal is paramount.
In terms of promotional information, Tri-Town Animal Hospital largely benefits from strong word-of-mouth recommendations driven by the positive experiences of its clients. The consistent praise for Dr. Benjamin's gentle approach and the clinic's accommodating nature serves as a powerful testimonial. While specific marketing campaigns are not detailed, the clinic's core appeal lies in its reliable and compassionate service. Their contact information, (860) 871-0826 for phone calls and +1 860-871-0826 for mobile contact, provides easy access for scheduling appointments or inquiring about services. The address, 93 West Rd, Ellington, CT 06029, USA, clearly marks their location for local residents. The reviews themselves act as a significant form of promotion, reassuring prospective clients that their pets will be "in good hands" and receive "grateful... help & the medicine I needed." For pet owners seeking a veterinarian who prioritizes patience, kindness, and effective care, particularly for pets with anxiety or a history of difficulty at the vet, Tri-Town Animal Hospital presents itself as an excellent choice, fostering a trusting and supportive environment for the entire pet family.

Jan 13, 2025 · World3iVery kind, friendly & helpful. He fit me in twice in one week last minute notice for 2 kittens I just adopted. Grateful to get the help & the medicine I needed for my little babies. Just make sure to bring cash or check; a bit old school but very helpful overall.
Dec 13, 2024 · Dutchess DivinityDr Benjamin is one of the finest human beings I have ever been blessed enough to know. He has taken care of all our babies for all their lives and he is so knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and just lovely all the way around. We are very fortunate to have had him for a vet and friend all these years.
Aug 01, 2024 · Mary MosherIt was obvious my old cat needed to be put down and the owner and his son took me after hours to tend to our needs. They were so kind and gentle and I am very grateful they went out of their way to help us. They helped us during a time of need when other vet offices said we'd have to wait till the following week. Such good people.
Sep 21, 2024 · Heather MarciniecBrought my sick 9yr old samoyed dog here this past Tuesday because he was having trouble walking and had stopped eating, called and talked to the dr on Monday & told him what was wrong & tried to get an appointment, he had me come down on Tuesday and we brought my dog in on a wheelbarrow and he sent us home with no treatment plan other than to continue the antibiotics and keep feeding him the peanut butter and honey i already was doing before we came there and he gave us a 1cc syringe to give a 80lb dog water with.. I took my dog to a real vet on Wednesday, a VCA animal hospital in east Hartford, they did everything they could for the big guy , including xrays, fluids because he was dehydrated, icu care, blood work, and euthanasia when the dr found he had a tumor on his pancreas and had gone into diabetic acidosis and was dying, upon autopsy the vet found his tumor had spread and went necrotic. The visit ran just over 500$ ... this vet did nothing for my angel and didnt refer me to someone that could when he realized he was in over his head and didnt have the facilities he needed to provide emergency care, please if you have a sick pet DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS PRACTICE! all i would recommend this guy for is a rabies vaccination, or if you already know that you have to euthanize your animal. He isn't even equipped to provide flea treatment please don't waste your time if you have a real problem with your pet. He should of recommended that we bring our dog to a dr equipped to handle the situation when i called to get him help instead of having me wait and bring my pet to him. I even asked this guy to give him iv fluids and pain medication but he refused and said my angel didn't need it. Wish i never wasted my time or the lousy 80$ , my dog was worth much more than that and deserved better and I'm glad the other vet did everything they could to see if he had a chance and to give him a chance to live and when they realized how bad off he was they were there to help me let him go properly. I love you Mellow, I'll never forget you. Rest in peace, 3/1/07, 10/5/16... i have a feeling those other reviews are fake/paid for... just sayin...
