Let me share a story of compassion and commitment versus corporate greed . Four days ago ,Duke ,our 3 month old King Corso Mastiff mix pup became very sick, lethargic, couldn’t eat or drink without vomiting. He was thin when we adopted him thirty days ago and his condition was rapidly deteriorating. We called Dr Gregory Seblink at Tri County Veterinary Clinic and were told to bring him right in. Upon examination , Dr Seblink informed us that Duke had an intestinal blockage and needed an emergency operation to save his life. The doctor informed us that he was not equipped with the proper medical equipment to feel confident in performing the surgery and suggested several nearby hospital options. We called a hospital in North East PA and were informed they couldn’t help us on such short notice , strike one. We called the ARC in Erie to be told we needed to supply financial information before they would give the dying pup life saving assistance and we we’re also told they couldn’t do the surgery for two days!! Knowing Duke did not have that long we politely declined, strike two. Orchard Park said to bring him and they could do it that day and told us to bring him , their next breath was to inform us to bring $9000.00 dollars with the puppy!!! I was shocked and appalled by these clinics total disregard for the life of a puppy!, focusing more on their surgeons schedule and monetary compensation!!! Dr Seblink allowed us to make the calls from his office and became aware of our most dire situation. Duke didn’t have two days and I didn’t have $9000.00 !! He offered to try and save Duke but because of his age and condition couldn’t promote a positive outcome only that he would do his best to help our puppy. Dr Seblink said to leave Duke in the care of his absolutely wonderful assistants and receptionist who said she would keep Duke on her lap til the Dr could do the surgery!! What an amazing lady!! All of his staff are truly amazing and epitomize the true meaning of veterinary care. Patient first!!! We hesitated to leave but knew in our hearts Duke was in a caring , loving environment. We went home to await the phone call of the outcome of the surgery and the inevitable yay or nay The call came ….. Duke had made it !!! Dr Seblink removed the blockage ( a large piece of of what appeared to be cloth) Duke came home to a houseful of wet faces ! Wet with tears of joy but some of those tears were formed from the gratitude we had, and the compassion showed to our pup as swell as us by the warmth ,kindness and professionalism of Dr Seblink and his amazing staff !! Payment for the saving of our puppy’s life was discussed ,a FRACTION of what Orchard Park required ! Never asked for a credit card or payment up front! Dr Seblink and his staff are to be lauded !! The true definition of the word “Veterinarian!!!”

The exceptional level of care and commitment at Tri County Veterinary Clinic is powerfully illustrated in a recent customer's account. When their three-month-old King Corso Mastiff mix puppy, Duke, became severely ill with an intestinal blockage, they turned to Dr. Gregory Seblink. Despite not having specialized equipment for the complex emergency surgery, Dr. Seblink's immediate concern was for Duke's life. He promptly examined the puppy and recognized the critical need for intervention.
In a stark contrast to other facilities that prioritized financial guarantees or scheduling convenience over the urgent needs of a dying puppy, Dr. Seblink demonstrated extraordinary compassion. He allowed the distraught owners to make calls to other hospitals from his office as they faced rejections and exorbitant cost demands. Witnessing their dire situation firsthand, and knowing Duke's chances of survival diminished with each passing hour, Dr. Seblink made a selfless offer. Despite acknowledging the limitations due to Duke's young age and weakened condition, he offered to do his best to save the puppy's life.
The commitment of the entire team at Tri County Veterinary Clinic shines through in this remarkable story. While Dr. Seblink prepared for the challenging surgery, his "absolutely wonderful assistants and receptionist" provided immediate comfort and care to Duke. The receptionist even held the sick puppy on her lap until the doctor was ready to operate, embodying the clinic's "patient first" ethos. This level of empathy and dedication from the entire staff creates a truly caring and loving environment for pets in need.
The outcome of Duke's surgery was a testament to Dr. Seblink's skill and dedication. He successfully removed the intestinal blockage, giving the young puppy a second chance at life. The relief and gratitude of Duke's owners were immense, not only for the successful surgery but also for the profound compassion shown to their pet and to them as worried owners by Dr. Seblink and his amazing staff.
Furthermore, the financial aspect of Duke's life-saving surgery further underscores the clinic's commitment to care over profit. The cost of the emergency procedure at Tri County Veterinary Clinic was a "FRACTION" of the exorbitant quote received from another facility, and importantly, Dr. Seblink never requested a credit card or upfront payment, focusing instead on the immediate medical needs of the animal. This exemplifies the true spirit of a veterinarian and sets Tri County Veterinary Clinic apart as an institution that genuinely prioritizes the well-being of animals.
Another customer review simply states, "This is the best veterinarian around. So caring. He is so nice and the prices are something affordable along with a wonderful staff!" This concise feedback reinforces the key attributes of Tri County Veterinary Clinic: exceptional care, a kind and personable veterinarian in Dr. Seblink, affordable pricing, and a wonderful supporting staff.

Sep 17, 2024 · Jennifer WilcoxDr. Greg, his wife and staff very professional, caring and compassionate. My dog was very sick. After several visits to help him he had to be euthanized. They were so caring. Highly recommended.
Jan 07, 2025 · David ChericoAbsolutely amazing vet and staff. We took our dog there not exactly knowing what was wrong, he ended up needing emergency surgery. They were quick to work on him and save him. They have been absolutely amazing through this whole thing including the vet calling to check in on him the next day. This is one place I can honestly say truly cares about their customers and animals. If it wasn't for them I would have lost my dog. We owe them the biggest thank yous for saving and caring for our boy. He's recovering very well and back to his happy self ❤️. 100000% would recommend them to everyone!
