The clinic aims to create a comfortable and reassuring experience for both pets and their owners, understanding that veterinary visits can often be stressful. This commitment to a friendly and empathetic approach helps to put anxious pets at ease and build trust with their human companions. The fact that clients are willing to drive a significant distance, even after moving from the immediate vicinity, speaks volumes about the enduring positive experience and trust fostered by the clinic's environment and the relationships built with its team members.
The staff's dedication to making clients and their "fur-babies" feel appreciated and well-cared for permeates the clinic's operations. This is reflected in the testimonials that highlight the staff's thoroughness and willingness to explain procedures and conditions, ensuring pet owners are well-informed and comfortable with the care their animals receive. The clinic website also emphasizes their dedication to providing the "highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service," viewing every patient as if they were their own pet.
As a comprehensive Pet Hospital, Tri County Veterinary Clinic provides a wide spectrum of veterinary services, encompassing preventative care, diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical procedures. Their commitment to treating "every patient as if they were our own pet" underscores a high standard of care. Key services typically offered by Tri County Veterinary Clinic include:
Wellness and Preventive Care: This is fundamental to maintaining long-term pet health and includes routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccinations (protecting against common and regional diseases), parasite control (for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites), and nutritional counseling. Regular check-ups are crucial for early detection and intervention of potential health issues.
Emergency and Urgent Care: As noted by a client, Tri County Veterinary Clinic handles "emergencies," indicating their capability to address acute medical situations during their operating hours. This is a critical service for pet owners facing unexpected health crises with their animals.
Diagnostic Services: To accurately identify and understand health conditions, the clinic utilizes various diagnostic tools. These typically include in-house laboratory services for blood tests, urinalysis, and fecal analysis. Advanced diagnostics such as digital X-rays and potentially ultrasound are often employed to provide detailed insights into internal organ health and skeletal issues. The clinic states they provide "a wide variety of in-house diagnostic testing with the most state of the art technology available."
Surgical Procedures: The clinic performs a range of surgeries, from common procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. The successful "birth of our French bulldog puppies" mentioned in a review highlights their capacity for reproductive services and associated surgical interventions. They emphasize that their "surgeons are experienced and highly trained" and that they communicate openly about the process.
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services, including professional cleanings and extractions, are vital for preventing systemic health problems linked to poor oral hygiene in pets. The clinic also offers digital dental X-rays.
Microchipping: A standard and highly recommended service for pet identification, microchipping significantly increases the chances of a lost pet being reunited with their family.
Pharmacy Services: An on-site pharmacy allows for convenient access to prescribed medications, ensuring pets receive necessary treatments promptly. They also offer an online pharmacy store with a "vast array of medicine, food, and other products" for convenience.
Specialized Care for Exotic Pets: A notable service mentioned by Tri County Veterinary Clinic itself is their ability to provide care for exotic pets, including birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. This requires specialized knowledge and training, distinguishing them from clinics that solely focus on traditional cats and dogs.
Nutritional Counseling: Guiding pet owners on appropriate diets and feeding plans to support optimal health, manage weight, and address specific dietary needs.
Pain Management: Ensuring pets are comfortable, especially after surgery or due to chronic conditions, is a crucial aspect of their compassionate care.
Grooming: The clinic also offers pet grooming services.
The clinic's focus on comprehensive care means that pet owners can generally find a solution for most veterinary needs, from routine check-ups to complex medical issues, all within a trusted environment.
The positive experiences shared by clients, combined with information from the clinic's own online presence, illuminate several distinguishing features and strengths of Tri County Veterinary Clinic:
Compassionate and Caring Staff: This is perhaps the most frequently praised aspect. Phrases like "kind and compassionate" and "always caring" appear repeatedly in testimonials, indicating a genuine empathy for animals and their owners. This compassion extends to difficult situations, such as managing a pet's illness or injury. The clinic emphasizes a "team of highly trained, experienced animal lovers."
Thoroughness in Care: Clients consistently mention that the clinic is "always thorough when one is sick or hurt." This meticulous approach to diagnostics and treatment ensures that pets receive a complete and accurate assessment, leading to effective care plans. One review from a vet tech highlights their respect for client needs and efficiency, and that the vets are "very thorough."
Handling Emergencies and Complex Cases: The ability to manage "emergencies" and significant events like "the birth of our French bulldog puppies" demonstrates a high level of expertise and preparedness for a variety of veterinary scenarios. Testimonials also praise their success with critical conditions, such as saving a dog from a foreign object in its GI tract.
Long-Standing Client Loyalty: The fact that clients drive "purely for the purpose of bringing all of my babies to Tri County" even after moving out of the immediate area is a powerful testament to the clinic's exceptional service and the strong bonds formed with pet owners. This indicates a high level of trust and satisfaction, with some clients using the clinic for "over 15 years" or "over 10 years" for multiple animals, including horses and cows.
Holistic Approach to Pet Health: Beyond treating illnesses, the clinic emphasizes preventative medicine, vaccinations, and comprehensive exams to ensure long-term health, indicating a proactive rather than reactive approach to veterinary care. They focus on catching problems early to ensure a higher chance of full recovery.
Expertise in Exotic Animals: Their stated ability to care for exotic pets (birds, reptiles, pocket pets) broadens their appeal and demonstrates specialized training, catering to a niche but growing segment of pet ownership.
Reasonable Pricing: Several reviews mention that the clinic is "reasonably priced" and that they are not "pushed for things you don't need," indicating transparency and value for money.
Experienced and Qualified Team: The clinic's website lists several veterinarians, including Dr. Chris Biggs (founder), Dr. Bea Moody, Dr. Megan Parkison, and Dr. Olivia Lakatosh, all graduates of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, contributing to the clinic's high standard of care.

May 13, 2025 · Mandra HicksTri County has cared for all of my fur babies for years. I no longer live in seymour but I drive to seymour purely for the purpose of bringing all of my babies to Tri county. They're always caring and always thorough when one is sick or hurt.
May 09, 2025 · Lisa Kneisley-SparksI am amazed at how sincere and well these people cared for my pup Jones. He had a medical emergency and we are out of town for family vacation. Dr. Megan took great care and showed so much affection and kindness to us. Not only her but all of the staff there as well. They thoroughly explained what was going on and the next steps we needed to take. Before choosing this vet we went to two other offices who just folded their hands and said they were unable to do much. What an answered prayer these people are in the Sevierville community. May God continue to bless each and every one of them. Thank you all!
