All amazing experiences with all 3 of our family pets, especially my barn baby Mazzy, who’s been going to TandC since she was just a few months old…🥹 I’ve gotten everything done for her through TandC, and have had amazing service even when I’m freaking out about something that was probably small and harmless lol. Only reason they’re rated 4 stars to me is that the veterinarian changes quite often. I’d like just a little more consistency and familiarity with the vet so they can really get to know our animals and I can rest assured we get the best care for the babies, since that’s what they deserve and more!! I understand this isn’t always possible for many reasons and we’ve luckily had great vets at each visit, just different personalities some are less action oriented. I prefer to get the same vet or same few, just for the familiarity and comfort. They even let us bring both our cats in for a same time appointment which eased their stress a LOT. Much appreciated. Other than that TandC is quick with appointments without rushing anything. All smooth experiences and reasonable pricing so far thank you so much for keeping our babies healthy TandC!!!

Towne & Country Animal Hospital Introduce
Welcome to Towne & Country Animal Hospital, located at 4343 S Old US Hwy 23 in Brighton, Michigan. As a local Pet Hospital Near You, we aim to provide veterinary services to the Brighton community and surrounding areas. However, online reviews indicate a wide range of experiences, which potential clients should carefully consider.
One customer describes the environment as generally smooth and efficient, noting quick appointments without feeling rushed. They also appreciated the accommodation of same-time appointments for multiple pets, which reduced their stress. However, another review paints a picture of a clinic that, at least in one instance, allegedly lacked compassion in an emergency situation.
Towne & Country Animal Hospital advertises as an emergency vet hospital. Services mentioned include routine care for pets, as one customer has been bringing their animals for many years and has had "everything done" there. They also mention the clinic's ability to accommodate same-time appointments for cats. However, a critical review details an alleged emergency situation where a kitten was refused examination and care, with the receptionist reportedly suggesting euthanasia or referral to another emergency vet. This review also claims that the practice manager admitted the receptionist acted against policy by not triaging the animal and offering pain relief. Furthermore, this review alleges a subsequent refusal to sell prescription food to a family member due to a negative online review, potentially endangering another pet.
A significant feature mentioned by one long-term client is the quick appointment scheduling and reasonable pricing. However, a major concern raised is the frequent turnover of veterinarians, leading to a lack of consistency in care and familiarity with individual pets. The most alarming aspect highlighted in another review is the alleged lack of compassion and refusal of emergency care, followed by what is described as retaliatory behavior towards a family member who posted a negative review. Potential local users must weigh these drastically different accounts carefully when considering Towne & Country Animal Hospital for their pet care needs.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available. The contrasting reviews, one highlighting positive routine experiences but concerns about vet consistency, and the other alleging a severe lack of emergency care and unprofessional conduct, are the primary pieces of information for local users in Brighton, MI, to consider when evaluating Towne & Country Animal Hospital. Proceed with caution and consider seeking additional information or references.

Jan 28, 2025 · Aspen HoggeEgo over Compassion/Quantity over Quality Towne and Country advertises as an emergency vet hospital. I called with an emergency and was told to come in. Upon my daughter and her father arriving with the kitten, the receptionist said they would not even look at IT, they would only put IT down, or we could go to an emergency vet 4 minutes away. My daughter’s dad yelled at them, and they left. Oliver ended up passing away. We do not know if Towne and Country could have saved him, but they could have at least eased his pain. My daughter and her dad were very upset, and her dad left a negative review on Google. Melissa the practice manager called, and admitted that the receptionist went against company policy; that they should have taken the kitten back, triaged him, administered pain meds, then discussed options. My daughter’s dad apologized for yelling and cussing at them and even stated that IF we choose to continue doing business with them, he will never set foot in any of their establishments again. Melissa asked that we don't hold the actions of the receptionist against the whole staff, never once offered to make things right with our family, but said that she needed him to take down his negative Google review. She went on to say that the owner has a policy that they will not see any patient who leaves a negative review. How do they see it as appropriate to admit they made a mistake but offer no way of trying to make it up to us and insist that we take down a negative review? How is it appropriate to ask us to not hold this against the entire staff, yet this receptionist has SEVERAL complaints for lack of compassion and rudeness, is still employed. All the employees know that the owners value positive review over correcting harmful actions yet choose to continue to work there. During this, my younger daughter stopped by the practice, because her cat, who is also under my name, was out of his prescription medicine. “Bill” came up to her, tore the food out of her arms and stated they will not sell her the food because “she knows what her family did”. She requested a written prescription for the food that would be required by another place to get the food and “Bill” refused to provide it to her. So now they have endangered another animal How can people who are smart enough to get their DVM’s and run a successful business be so callous? Ego over Compassion. Quantity of Quality I truly hope that Livingston County will get a TRUE emergency vet soon, so we are not reliant on people who value money over fur babies’ lives.
Nov 18, 2024 · Lynn ArpiWe have been to this location twice this week and our experience was amazing start to finish both times. Prices are fair, staff is very kind and respectful and makes sure that everyone at the appointment understands what is happening. They were so good with our sweet but sassy older kitty and even though she was sick she happily purred. We will definitely be back…just hopefully not with such a sick kitty! Thank you for taking such good care of her. ❤️
Jan 25, 2025 · BrookeOn November 17th approximately 6:22 p.m. I called their office because my elderly cat was having strange symptoms and she needed to be seen, she was dying. This was an emergency!! the reception is put me on hold, came back and I quote the vet said she definitely needs to be seen but we can't see her here because we close at 7:00 p.m. the veterinarian was so concerned about getting out on time instead of the well-being of one of their own patients. This is actually very disgusting and I'm very disappointed in this Clinic. I suggest going to MedVet in Commerce Township they are open 24/7 and are very caring. They were also busy that night but took my cat right in as we got there because it was an emergency. I lost my cat that night. If you care anything about your animals you will seek a different veterinarian clinic.
Nov 22, 2024 · Stephanie HodgeI had a really tough experience tonight with calling Towne & Country animal hospital Following my emergency call for one of my cats and once I had everything under control, I felt as though I was going to leave a message stating how horrible it was that they denied me to come in and how I felt so Upset at what they did. However, I'm glad that I'm able to think things through this evening. I did something that I've never done before which I snapped at the Lady who went to talk to the vet and came back and told me I needed to go somewhere else. It was 530 and they close at seven. I live two minutes away. I told them My cats symptoms And was not given a referral to another hospital, nor was I given any advice as to how to deal with an emergency situation such My cat Eating a blade of onion grass as well they didn't refer me to the ASPCA POISON emergency number. I ended up calling Novi emergency center open 24 hours a day 365. They put me on hold after I describe briefly what was going on with my cat came back and said you need to call the ASPCA POISON number and gave me the number I called there and they were wonderful.!!! They walked me through What to watch for and monitor answered all my questions in detail. The woman that I spoke with was very attentive and took seriously the timeframe that this happened And asked me numerous times questions just to make sure she had all the information Correct, I felt secure when I hung up with her and $95 is well worth it! I Was left with a case number so If I need information to call back as I may have any questions, she Said don't hesitate. I believe it's for 24 hours. I'm not completely sure on the 24 hours. It felt as though I was brushed off Tonight by TandC Yet again didn't negate how rude how I reacted in my fear and stress mode! I apologize for that. I said Something I'm embarrassed of, and it's not who I am I suppose when it comes down to it, Admitting this is Meaningful to me I can't imagine how many calls they take a day for emergencies and how stressful it can be there having animals come in emergency and regular clinic I took My fear out on somebody that was just relaying information, There's never a reason to snap anyone, I did not think about the situation whether maybe the veterinarian had to go home maybe they had animals backed up for surgery Or emergencies is backed up, whatever it was It didn't negate my reaction as I did not consider the reality of the situation and it was rude of me so I truly apologize to the staff!!! One off, I know on my end The experiences I've had at the towne and country. animal clinic Hospital outweigh what happened earlier. . Overall, they've always been clean, prompt, helpful, and the only hospital out of 8 That would actually take this stray cat, who I found in the middle of a dirt road and Howell by my house in shock and I figured paralyzed with a back leg that was crushed. He was sitting in the middle of the road, wasn't moving, but he was obviously alive . I picked him up in a blanket and put him on my lap He started purring, I didn't know that purring can also be a sign of pain~ :(. I figured he had to be euthanized I called Vet clinics when I left Howell and I spoke to about half a dozen only to turn me down completely and then 2 places stated that they wanted $160 just to have him walk through the door that's not for the exam or to euthanize if they choose to do that.... I didn't stop anywhere I went straight to TandC And made phone calls on the way ~ I just knew this cat had to be alleviated of his suffering~, they showed compassion, took him in the back Told me to leave a donation. they had the compassion to come and tell me that they were euthanizing him And I left $40 of course I would've spent 160+ but I drove straight to TandC due All the Positive experiences with the vets and staff. Tonight was a one off For me-I apologize for being rude I hope they accept my apology and I want to thank them for all the years of true compassionate educational kind care!! ☮️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾💚
