We took our dog with epilepsy here, and our cat. We’ve saw Dr. Glass and Dr. Biddle. Dr. Glass was amazing, but I don’t think he works here anymore or doesn’t work as much, because we haven’t had him in years. Dr. Biddle was very good with our cat, who we ended up having to put down. He was pretty good with our epileptic dog, however I didn’t feel like our dog was a top concern when we went. Our dog had his last appt and I asked for new/supplemental meds. Vet said he didn’t need them yet, and his next seizure ended up killing him (he was 3). I just called to ask questions about getting my other dog neutered, and I was met with the most rude, unwelcoming, front desk worker in my life. I asked about their standard procedure, such as do they keep them overnight, is anyone monitoring the animals over night. I received one word answers “yes” they stay overnight, “no” no one is there to monitor overnight, in an extremely unpleasant voice. It seemed as though I inconvenienced her by asking her to do her job. I waited for her to elaborate on her answers, but was met with silence. This definitely turned me off from ever returning, as I’m sure it would for any new customers inquiring about their services. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Sad because this place used to be very nice.

Welcome to Town & Country Veterinary

As a local establishment categorized as a Pet Hospital, Town & Country Veterinary is expected to offer a range of veterinary services and potentially related goods for the care and well-being of pets in the Maysville area.
Typically, a pet hospital provides a variety of services, which can include routine check-ups, vaccinations, preventative care such as parasite control, diagnostic procedures like blood work and imaging, and medical and surgical treatments for illnesses and injuries. The environment of a pet hospital is usually equipped with examination rooms, diagnostic equipment, and potentially surgical suites and recovery areas to ensure comprehensive care for animal patients.
To provide an objective introduction to Town & Country Veterinary, it is essential to consider feedback from individuals who have used their services. Several reviews are available, and they present a mixed perspective on the quality of care and service provided. One reviewer shared experiences with Dr. Glass and Dr. Biddle, noting that while Dr. Glass was considered "amazing," this veterinarian may no longer be as available. The reviewer found Dr. Biddle to be "very good" with a cat but expressed concerns about the attentiveness to their epileptic dog, whose passing after a seizure was attributed, in part, to the vet's assessment regarding medication needs. This reviewer also reported a negative experience with the front desk staff, describing them as "rude" and "unwelcoming" during an inquiry about neutering procedures, which led to a decision not to return.
Other reviews express significant dissatisfaction. One review carries a stark warning: "Beware. This establishment is for profit only," suggesting a perception that financial gain might be prioritized over animal welfare. Another comment echoes this sentiment, stating, "Absolutely not pet care. Whatever it was three years ago, it looks like it had great reviews and then something happened." These comments indicate a potential decline in the perceived quality of care or customer service over time.
A detailed account from another customer describes a "horrific" personal encounter. This review highlights concerns about diagnostic procedures, including being separated from their pet during blood work, which is contrary to their past experiences with other veterinarians. The reviewer also alleges rough handling of their dog, leading to distress, and recounts being barred from the back area. Furthermore, this review raises questions about the speed of diagnostic test results and discrepancies between estimated and actual costs, including a charge for an additional staff member present in the room. The overall impression from this review is one of unprofessionalism, a lack of empathy, and a prioritization of profits.
Given these customer reviews, it is challenging to provide a purely positive description of the environment, services, and features of Town & Country Veterinary without acknowledging these experiences. While the physical location suggests a standard pet hospital setting, the reviews raise concerns about the quality of care, customer service, and potentially the overall philosophy of the practice.
Regarding specific features or promotional information, this data is not provided in the given text. Typically, a pet hospital might highlight the expertise of their veterinarians, the range of services offered (e.g., surgery, dentistry, emergency care), or any special equipment they possess. Promotional information could include discounts on certain services or wellness plans. However, based solely on the provided information and the nature of the reviews, it is not possible to detail such aspects for Town & Country Veterinary positively.
For local users considering Town & Country Veterinary, it is crucial to be aware of the range of experiences reported by other pet owners. While some past interactions might have been positive (as suggested by the mention of earlier good reviews and the positive experience with Dr. Glass), more recent feedback raises significant concerns about professionalism, customer service, and the perceived prioritization of profit over genuine pet care.
In conclusion, Town & Country Veterinary, located in Maysville, KY, operates as a Pet Hospital offering veterinary services. However, several recent customer reviews express serious concerns regarding the quality of care, customer service, and business practices. Potential clients may wish to consider these reviews alongside any other information they can gather when making decisions about their pet's healthcare.

Mar 14, 2025 · Emmy ClarkBeware. This establishment is for profit only. Absolutely not pet care. Whatever it was three years ago, it looks like it had great reviews and then something happened Our personal encounter with them was horrific We took our beloved dog of 10 years into This veterinarian new to the area. We were new to the area, not having much information on any veterinarians. We were told from the start what possible things could be wrong with our dog Of course, they told us without bloodwork and x-rays we won’t know exactly what’s going on So the veterinarian was talking to her talk, and she went out out of the room and brought us back a piece of paper that gave it estimate of all the cost of everything that she wanted to do to our dog She said talk about it and I’ll be right back She wasn’t right back. She was gone for quite a while. . she came back in and we told her we would do the blood work to find out if he has thyroid disease. We will wait on anything else. We just wanted to find out if he had thyroid disease because he was putting on a lot of weight all of a sudden. He weighed 106 pounds when we brought him in there. She grabbed the dog and went into the back room to do the blood work. That is the first time I have ever ever been separated from my animal for the vet veterinarian to do bloodwork who does that obviously this person does and this shouldn’t ever happen all the other veterinarians I have ever been to always want you as the owner to be in the room with the pet to keep them calm Keep their heart rate down keep them calm not so nervous with being at a veterinarians office with strangers. When they took him into the next room, they man handled him. They roughed them up. They made him scream. They made him cry. They didn’t shave the area where they took the blood. They didn’t allow us to go in the area with him. My boyfriend went to go through the door and they stopped him. He went outside to calm down, and they told me that he was never allowed back in the building again, a big tall, gray headed man came in the room and told me that all I know is I wanted to know where my dog is right now. I will deal with that in a minute. I wanna know where Sam is. I need Sam now They brought me back Sam into the room and the veterinarian said he is thyroid tested out high Can I ask since when do you get a blood work as a thyroid test back within 10 minutes? Everything they put on the estimate page and what their prices are are two totally different things You even get charged for an extra person stand in the room do an absolutely nothing you get charged for that. I got charged $60 extra for some girl standing in the room not saying a word never said anything why should I get charged for that and the total bill was $397 and I could not leave with my animal I could not leave with my animal until the bill was paid It was far from the price of what they said. It was going to be stay away from these people. They are totally unprofessional. They lack empathy. Their prioritizing profits over animal care. Stay away from Town & Country veterinarian. They are unprofessional.
May 14, 2025 · Marcia Langlois PayneAll of the doctors and techs here have been wonderful with our pets over the years. When we lost our dog recently, Dr Owens called to offer condolences and make sure we were okay. We adopted our kitten from here and they love him and our older cat. I'm grateful for all the help they have been and will continue to bring all of our pets here.
Aug 31, 2024 · Kristin HolmesI love this place! They are always there for me when I need them! Thank you all so much for your compassion & care. Best vet I have ever been to! Had to bring my cat in today & Dr. Owen's took great care of her, right before closing for an emergency injury! She calmed me down & took great care of my ole gal! When my dog's allergies act up, I tell him "if you don't stop licking your paws, we are gonna go see Dr. Biddle & he is gonna give you a shot. " like he cares! He gets all the attention there! Thank you to the front desk lady who delt with my tears today & cared that I was scared and my old cat needed help! Her compassion got me to stop crying. I love this team! Thank you all for always caring for my fur babes when I bring them in. You are all amazing!
