Not impressed. Even though veterinary consults long distance may not be the best option, it was my only choice. It took six weeks to get an appointment and then the phone consult was minimally helpful. Follow up questions via email went unanswered. For the amount of money charged I would have expected more.

As a Pet Hospital, the practice of Todd Cooney, DVM, is positioned to provide a range of veterinary services focused on the health and medical needs of your animal companions. Typically, such facilities offer medical consultations, diagnostic procedures, surgical interventions, and preventative care. The primary goal is to ensure the well-being of pets through professional veterinary services.

Based on the limited information available, a detailed description of the environment at the clinic of Todd Cooney, DVM, is not possible. However, a typical veterinary hospital includes examination rooms for consultations, a surgical suite for operations, areas for housing and recovery of animals, and possibly diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment. Cleanliness and a comfortable atmosphere are usually considered important aspects of a veterinary facility to ensure the health and reduce stress for the animals.

The services offered by Todd Cooney, DVM, based on the available information and the general scope of a Pet Hospital, likely include:

  • Surgical Procedures: One positive review specifically mentions getting a rabbit neutered at this clinic. This indicates that surgical services, including routine procedures like neutering, are offered. The positive experience described suggests a focus on careful surgical care and post-operative support.
  • Veterinary Consultations: As indicated by a negative review mentioning a "phone consult," Dr. Cooney offers veterinary consultations. However, the experience described suggests that remote consultations may not be as comprehensive as in-person visits, and follow-up communication might be lacking in some cases.
  • General Wellness Exams: While not explicitly mentioned, it is standard for a Pet Hospital to offer routine check-ups to assess your pet's overall health, administer vaccinations, and provide preventative care advice.
  • Diagnostic Services: To identify illnesses and injuries, a Pet Hospital usually offers diagnostic tools such as blood tests, urine analysis, fecal exams, and possibly imaging technologies like X-rays. The availability of these services at Dr. Cooney's clinic is not specified in the provided reviews.
  • Medical Treatments: Addressing various health issues that pets may face, including infections, allergies, and chronic conditions, through appropriate medical interventions is a core function of a Pet Hospital. The extent of these services at Dr. Cooney's clinic is not detailed in the reviews.
  • Post-Operative Care: The positive review about the rabbit neutering mentions being allowed to return due to concerns about the incision and receiving a cone. This suggests that post-operative care and addressing owner concerns are part of their service.

One of the features highlighted in a positive customer review is the excellent care provided during a rabbit neutering procedure. The reviewer specifically mentioned feeling "super nervous and scared" but being reassured by the care their rabbit received. The willingness to allow a follow-up visit due to concerns and the provision of a cone demonstrate a commitment to patient well-being and addressing owner anxieties. Additionally, the reviewer noted that the pricing was "unmatched" and that the service was great without being overly expensive, suggesting that affordability can be a feature of this practice.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience regarding a long-distance veterinary consult. This customer reported a six-week wait for an appointment, followed by a phone consultation that was "minimally helpful." Furthermore, follow-up questions via email allegedly went unanswered. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the level of service received for the cost, indicating that communication and the effectiveness of remote consultations may be areas of concern for some clients.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Todd Cooney, DVM, based on the provided data. Veterinary clinics sometimes offer promotions for specific services, such as discounted vaccinations or new client specials. To inquire about any potential promotions or discounts, it would be best to contact the clinic directly.

In conclusion, Todd Cooney, DVM, in Kokomo, Indiana, operates as a Pet Hospital offering veterinary services, including surgical procedures like neutering, where they have received positive feedback for their care and pricing. However, a negative review highlights potential issues with long appointment wait times, the effectiveness of remote consultations, and follow-up communication. Potential clients should consider these mixed reviews and may want to contact the clinic directly to inquire about their specific needs and expectations. For surgical procedures, particularly routine ones, the clinic appears to offer good care at a competitive price. However, for remote consultations or situations requiring extensive communication, potential clients may want to seek further clarification or consider their individual needs carefully.

I got my 5 almost 6 month old male rabbit neutered here. I was super nervous and scared but they took excellent care of my rabbit and even allowed me to come back in again because I was worried my rabbits incision had opened up. They gave me a cone so he would stop digging at his incision and their price is unmatched. Such great service that doesn’t break the bank. Love!

Dr. Cooney is amazing. He has helped our dog with a frustrating, lingering skin issue and has literally saved the life of my parent's dog. In 2018 our dog's skin was very red and itchy and he was losing hair. Our wonderful vet had tried some things, but it wasn't resolving, so we decided to consult with Dr. Cooney, who is about 40 minutes away. Our dog is now so much better- hair has grown back, redness, licking and itching have improved tremendously. We were so thrilled that when my parents dog was given only weeks to live due to a colon tumor, we suggested they get an opinion from Dr. Cooney. They had already had a second opinion from a highly reputable veterinary clinic and was told there was nothing that could be done. That was nearly 3 years ago and their dog is still alive and has lived a happy, normal life because of Dr. Cooney's help and advice! My parents are very grateful to have gotten this extra time with their pup. Also, we have found Dr. Cooney to be extremely personable and genuine. He is very professional and we feel we can trust his advice. Prices are reasonable. We are very grateful to Dr. Cooney and staff and would highly recommend them to anyone.

My dog started having gran mal cluster seizures. They were able to weave him in on an emergency of several cluster seizures. Dr Cooney has modified the homeopathy remedies, and to date his seizures are 1/4 the effect as they we...having just 1 monthly, instead of multiple cluster seizures weekly. Great service and great people❣️🐕
