I believe the doctor we saw was Dr. Alderson..or something similar. I will not rag on her skills as a Veterinarian, it’s a hard job and you can see some harsh things. But the way she rushed and how cold she spoke to me was..not great to say the least. In late November 2020, Our 8 year old Chocolate Lab (Dudley) had a small lump growing in the middle of his snout, it was small and kinda squishy but it was getting bigger. And our normal vet couldn’t get him in for a week, so we went to the Tipton Vet. Dudley was in there for 5 minutes before she brought him out and asked to speak with me. She said he sneezed a bit of blood while in there and said he definitely had Nasal Cancer, which is very aggressive and deadly. She gave a prognosis and pretty much said he had a month left to live, and we should enjoy our time with him. She said if we really wanted to we could go to Purdue, but that it’d be useless since he will die soon. She said all this without a biopsy, X-Ray, or even a frickin’ blood test. Going off a prognosis while saying he’ll die in a month is extremely unprofessional at best, and irresponsible at worst, God forbid another family puts their dog down before they think they’ll suffer; even if it looked like cancer, there wasn’t a definite answer to be had there. He’s still alive and very well. The lump is bigger but our regular Vet said it’s allergies, and it’s possibly a big cyst since it’s leaked mucus out recently, but allergy meds and Prednisone keep the swelling way down. It could turn into cancer one day, sure, but for now, he’s still alive and functioning fine. 𝙄 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙑𝙚𝙩.

Welcome to Tipton Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to the introduction of Tipton Veterinary Clinic, a "Pet Hospital" located at 750 W Jefferson St, Tipton, IN 46072, USA. This clinic offers veterinary services to the local community, with some reviewers highlighting quick scheduling and favorable pricing. However, the available customer feedback presents a mixed picture, with one detailed negative experience contrasting with a brief positive comment regarding the staff's demeanor and efficiency. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on these limited accounts to help local users make informed decisions.

The provided reviews offer limited insight into the physical environment of Tipton Veterinary Clinic. One positive comment notes that "Everyone is so nice! You can yell they love animals!" This might suggest a welcoming and pet-friendly atmosphere within the clinic. However, the negative review focuses primarily on the interaction with a specific veterinarian and the diagnostic approach taken, without describing the clinic's physical space. Therefore, based on the current information, a comprehensive description of the clinic's environment is not possible.

Given that Tipton Veterinary Clinic operates as a "Pet Hospital," it can be assumed that they offer a range of general veterinary services. Based on the experiences shared in the reviews, these may include:

  • General Health Check-ups: Although not explicitly mentioned, routine examinations are a fundamental service expected from a veterinary clinic.
  • Diagnosis of Illnesses: The clinic assessed a lump on a dog's snout and provided a diagnosis, albeit one that was later contradicted.
  • Allergy Assessment (Indirectly): A subsequent diagnosis from another vet indicated the initial issue might have been allergy-related, suggesting that Tipton Veterinary Clinic likely handles allergy-related concerns as well.
  • Emergency or Urgent Care (Potentially): The fact that the pet owner sought care at Tipton Vet when their regular vet had a week-long wait implies they might handle urgent cases or offer more immediate appointments. The "Quick scheduling" mentioned in the positive review supports this possibility.
  • Medication Prescription: The mention of Prednisone being effective for the dog's condition suggests the clinic can prescribe medications.

It is important to note that the negative review raises concerns about the thoroughness of diagnostic procedures, as a serious condition (nasal cancer) was diagnosed without a biopsy, X-ray, or blood test. To obtain a complete list of services and understand their diagnostic protocols, contacting the clinic directly at (765) 675-2430 or +1 765-675-2430 is recommended.

The limited customer feedback highlights the following features of Tipton Veterinary Clinic:

  • Potentially Quick Scheduling: The positive review mentions "Quick scheduling," which can be a significant advantage for pet owners needing timely appointments, especially in urgent situations.
  • Reportedly Great Prices: The same positive review states that "prices ate great!" (presumably meaning "prices are great"), suggesting that the clinic may offer affordable veterinary care, which is an important consideration for many pet owners.
  • Variable Customer Experience: The reviews present starkly contrasting experiences. One praises the staff's friendliness and perceived love for animals, while the other details a negative interaction with a veterinarian described as rushed and cold, and expresses serious concerns about the diagnostic approach.
  • Concerns Regarding Diagnostic Thoroughness: The negative review raises significant questions about the clinic's diagnostic protocols, particularly in the absence of standard procedures like biopsies or imaging before delivering a grave prognosis. This is a critical point for potential clients to consider.
  • Potential for Misdiagnosis: The case described in the negative review suggests the possibility of misdiagnosis or premature conclusions without adequate investigation, which could have severe emotional consequences for pet owners.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Tipton Veterinary Clinic based on the provided reviews. Local users would need to inquire directly about any special offers or pricing structures when contacting the clinic.

In conclusion, Tipton Veterinary Clinic in Tipton, Indiana, offers services with potentially quick scheduling and reportedly great prices, which could be attractive to local pet owners. The positive review also suggests a friendly staff who care about animals. However, a detailed negative review raises serious concerns regarding the thoroughness of diagnostic procedures and the bedside manner of at least one veterinarian. This account describes a rushed consultation leading to a severe diagnosis without standard diagnostic tests, which was later contradicted by another veterinarian. This stark contrast in experiences highlights the importance for potential clients to consider these factors carefully. While affordability and quick scheduling are benefits, the concerns raised about diagnostic protocols and customer interaction warrant further inquiry and consideration before choosing Tipton Veterinary Clinic for their pet's care. It would be prudent for local users to contact the clinic directly to discuss their specific needs and to understand their diagnostic processes and customer service approach in more detail.

I took my cat Plato, to get shots, dewormed, as well as an exam. The visit was convenient, fast, and cost friendly. While I was driving back home, however, I noticed a bunny trying to cross the road. I got out to help it, but I noticed it was in bad shape;both of its back legs were broken and it had died blood as well as an open wound.. I was 5 minutes from the clinic. So I decided to take him back to Dr Alderson & see if she could possibly euthanize him end it's suffering she agreed free of charge. Such a wonderful woman!

I have been taking my dogs to the Tipton Vet Clinic for a while now, and I would give 10 stars if I could. Dr. Alderson makes sure my dogs are well taken care of, and she always thoroughly answers my questions. And Tiffany is always great in helping get me in for appointments. You can tell how much they both care about their four-legged patients, and that is what makes them so great.
