I've been taking my furry kids to Elder Pet Care for 20+ years and I absolutely love how much Tracy cares for the animals as well as helping the community with affordable vet services. Her expertise is incredible and she always knows exactly what is going on with them. My cat who is almost 20 wasn't feeling well on Sunday, Elder Pet Care wasn't open so I took her to another vet who did blood work and told me it was her kidneys however I took her to Tracy the next day and come to find out it was a neurological issue and with her care, my barnyard beauty queen kitty is now feeling better and almost walking again in just a few day! There's just no one like Tracy and her expertise and love for our furry kids! ❤️ Thanks for everything Tracy!

Welcome to Thomas Tracy N DVM

Welcome to the practice of Thomas Tracy N DVM, operating under the name Elder Pet Care, located at 210 N U.S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80524. As a Pet Hospital serving the Fort Collins community, Elder Pet Care, led by Dr. Tracy, aims to provide veterinary services for your animal companions. Based on the available online reviews, there are contrasting experiences regarding the practice, particularly concerning Dr. Tracy's interactions with pet owners, alongside recognition of her veterinary expertise.

One long-term client, who has been taking their "furry kids" to Elder Pet Care for over 20 years, expresses immense satisfaction with the care provided by Dr. Tracy. This reviewer highlights Dr. Tracy's genuine care for animals and her commitment to offering affordable veterinary services within the community. They specifically praise her incredible expertise, noting her ability to accurately diagnose their pets' conditions. As an example, they recounted an instance where their almost 20-year-old cat, initially misdiagnosed with a kidney issue by another vet, was correctly diagnosed with a neurological problem by Dr. Tracy. The reviewer was impressed by the subsequent improvement in their cat's health under Dr. Tracy's care, emphasizing her unique expertise and love for animals.

However, another reviewer presents a significantly different experience, stating that Dr. Thomas was "very rude" and even hung up the phone on them. This individual also claims to have witnessed Dr. Thomas having "blow-ups" and being rude to other pet parents. While this reviewer acknowledged that their dogs received good care medically, they felt that the stress caused by these negative interactions was not worthwhile and, consequently, could not recommend the practice.

Given these contrasting perspectives, it's challenging to definitively characterize the environment of Elder Pet Care. One might infer that Dr. Tracy is deeply knowledgeable and dedicated to the medical well-being of animals, potentially creating an environment focused on accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. However, the second review suggests that the interpersonal interactions with Dr. Tracy might be a point of concern for some pet owners.

Based on the positive review, potential services offered at Elder Pet Care by Thomas Tracy N DVM likely include:

  • General Veterinary Care: Addressing a range of health issues in pets.
  • Diagnostic Services: Utilizing her expertise to identify and understand pets' medical conditions, as evidenced by the neurological issue diagnosis.
  • Treatment of Illnesses: Providing care and medication to help pets recover from various ailments.

  • Affordable Vet Services: The long-term client specifically appreciated the affordability of the care provided.

Features of this Pet Hospital, as perceived by the positive reviewer, include Dr. Tracy's extensive experience (20+ years), her diagnostic acumen, her caring attitude towards animals, and the affordability of services. However, a potential drawback, as indicated by the negative review, could be the interpersonal communication style of Dr. Thomas.

For some unknown reason, Dr. Thomas apparently doesn't like me and has been very rude to me. She even hung up the phone on me one time. I have witnessed her having blow-ups and be rude to other pet parents too. I think she took good care of my dogs, but it wasn't worth the stress. Cannot recommend.

I don’t know how I would be able to afford my 17-year-old pug’s prescription every month if it weren’t for Dr. Tracy and her amazing veterinary clinic! We have been getting our dog’s Rx for pain management since 2015 from Dr. Tracy and words cannot express how much my family and I appreciate her and everyone working there!

Nice people, but they told me my dog was fine and she died a week later. I guess get a 2nd opinion. They did see me fast though and I'm sure it's a fine place for some issues but I guess I got unlucky! She was a 13 year old dog so it's okay, not their fault. But we knew something was wrong!

Very professional and a good place for seniors to take their fur-babies. I just wish we could go in with our babies and talk with the doctor.
