(This is a lengthy one) Our sweet boy Leo had an unexpected emergency and we were referred here by our primary vet. When we arrived, they immediately greeted us and took my boy back for testing and pain meds. They put us in a private room. They were very thorough with their explanations for what exactly was going on and provided answers for all the questions we had. Sadly, we had to make the tough decision of putting our baby down. They were so gentle with him, so kind to us and gave us as much time as we wanted to spend with him before, as well as afterwards and talked us through the entire process (this was our first euthanasia). The staff is kind, empathetic, and friendly. They gave us clippings of his fur and some ink prints of his nose and paws. When we returned (only a couple days later - so fast!) to pick up the cremated remains, they had him in a beautiful wooden urn with an engraved name plate and a clay paw impression. The lady at the office where we picked him up was also very kind and empathetic. We also received a very beautiful letter in the mail with a poem and everyone had signed it for us. Overall, I highly recommend The Cove for any emergencies you may have and if we ever need their services again, we will be returning. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us and for being so kind in our time of grief. Here are a couple photos of our Leo.

Mar 27, 2025 · Lisa HiteI found a friendly cat in my yard, and I couldn’t wait for animal control to pick her up. They were the only vet willing to hang on to her until animal control could come to them, as I have an unfriendly dog at home and couldn’t keep her here. The staff was so nice from the first phone call, up until dropping her off. I know she’s getting extra loving from them, and that makes me happy! Thank you to the two sweet women up front, and the other sweet woman who did the triage and confirmed she was a girl. I appreciate you guys! And I’m sure the lost kitty does too!!
Apr 01, 2025 · Taylor CarlsenAbsolute money pit. Brought our dog in and after 5 hours and $1100 we were given the same list of possible causes that I had gotten from googling his symptoms in the car on the way there. There's nobody on staff that can read the imagery results so they send that out for consult and pass the cost to you. We were given the options of another $4000 for more tests, take him home with meds to keep him comfortable, or euthanasia. We took him home and I'm so glad we did. We got him to his regular vet the next morning and in 2 hours we had a diagnosis and treatment plan. 2 days later and our boy is doing much better. I'm not saying they won't help your pet, but its going to cost a fortune to get there. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is that the front desk staff were friendly and the vet assistant was great.
Mar 31, 2025 · Cody CampoI took our 16 month old cat Cleo to them hoping for a miracle . They offered everything possible for treatment options and ultimately we found out that she had just too many major injuries that it was best for her to rest . They were very compassionate , understanding & caring . I specifically wanted to say thank you to Dr Patterson . Thank you so much for everything . You are doing an amazing job and are so passionate about your patients it’s truly inspiring . Also thank you to Meg C for helping us with everything . I highly recommend them as their emergency areas & surgery areas were super clean . The checkin was simple & they had very reasonable prices considering how expensive veterinary services are to begin with . After our experience I recommend checking out pet insurance for your loved ones . RIP CLEO ❤️
Dec 13, 2024 · David AtkinsPreviously had a great experience with them helping me put down my elderly cat, but what just happened to my partner is atrocious. Their cat had been stolen by neighbors who adopted him out, and came back injured. He had been inside the adopters' house the entire time. They gave him back injured, and didn't say anything about his wounds, just dropped him off and left. Today (2/6/25), one of the vet techs here denied that it was animal cruelty, even though it clearly was (again, he was kept inside their house, and they didn't treat him nor mention his wounds), and then suggested that it was my partner's fault that their cat was stolen and injured. She then told them that they shouldn't bother with pursuing the abusers legally, and refused to even give them paperwork confirming he was bitten, which is what the vet tech said happened. I really hope this is investigated, because there's no way I'm bringing my own cats here after this. I'm afraid they'll lie to me about my girls' conditions now, and I'm not taking that chance. UPDATE: When my partner went to talk to the vet tech's supervisor, they loudly accused my partner of being high when bringing in their cat. My partner had been crying because their cat had been STOLEN AND INJURED. My partner is also black, which makes their accusation even worse. In any case, police are now involved, so hopefully they'll finally give us the paperwork to prosecute the animal abusers they're trying to allow go consequence-free.
