First time using their services- needed to get my two male kittens neutered. Easy to schedule, got a nice run down of how to prepare them (no food after midnight, separate carriers, drop off time ect) staff was friendly and prompt with getting us checked in. Pickup was a breeze, kitties recovered perfectly, and someone on staff even called the next day to see how they were doing. Efficient, kind, and cost-effective! Very appreciative of them in our Erie community. Thank you so much!!!

As a prominent "Pet Hospital" within the region, it is distinguished not only by the comprehensive range of services it provides but also by its deeply ingrained mission to offer affordable healthcare, often in conjunction with its parent organization, The ANNA Shelter. This commitment ensures that vital veterinary services are within reach for a wider demographic of pet owners, thereby improving the overall health and welfare of animals in Erie and surrounding areas. For inquiries, The Anna Wellness Center-Erie can be reached at (814) 314-1518 or via mobile at +1 814-314-1518.
The environment at The Anna Wellness Center-Erie, while not explicitly detailed in publicly available architectural descriptions, is characterized by its efficiency and a focus on managing a high volume of patients effectively. Customer testimonials frequently highlight the smooth check-in and pick-up processes, suggesting a well-organized and streamlined operation. The positive interactions described, where staff are consistently noted as "friendly and prompt," indicate an atmosphere that, despite its busy nature, prioritizes client comfort and pet well-being. The emphasis on "cost-effective" care, as per customer reviews, implies a practical and functional setting, designed to maximize service delivery without unnecessary frills, thereby keeping costs down. The fact that multiple individuals in the waiting room share similar stories of finding affordable and much-needed care here further underscores its role as a community-centric facility, welcoming to all.
The services offered by The Anna Wellness Center-Erie are extensive, covering the fundamental aspects of pet health necessary for routine care and common medical needs. Their core offerings include routine wellness examinations, which are crucial for maintaining a pet's health and detecting potential issues early. These exams involve a thorough assessment of a pet's general health, ensuring they are growing and developing properly. Vaccination programs are a cornerstone of their preventive care, tailored to protect pets from common and dangerous diseases. This includes essential vaccines for dogs and cats, crucial for preventing the spread of infectious diseases within the pet population.
A particularly notable and highly valued service at The Anna Wellness Center-Erie is their spay/neuter program. This service is vital for population control and preventing unwanted litters, but also significantly benefits the health and behavior of individual pets. The positive feedback specifically mentioning neutering services, where "kitties recovered perfectly," highlights the competence and care provided during these common surgical procedures. They offer both spaying for female animals and neutering for male animals, contributing significantly to responsible pet ownership within the community. Beyond spay/neuter, the center also performs routine surgeries, addressing a variety of common medical conditions that require surgical intervention.
Flea control is another essential service, as parasites pose a significant health risk to pets and can impact human health as well. The center provides guidance and treatments for effective flea prevention and management. Dental care is also recognized as an important component of overall pet health, and The Anna Wellness Center-Erie provides services to address and prevent dental issues. Furthermore, they cater to sick pet visits, offering diagnostics and treatment for animals experiencing illness or discomfort. This includes addressing a wide range of acute conditions and providing initial assessments for more complex cases. While they handle "minor emergencies" during their operating hours, it's important for pet owners to recognize that for severe or after-hours emergencies, referral to a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital may be necessary.
The key features that distinguish The Anna Wellness Center-Erie are its affordability and accessibility. Numerous testimonials attest to their ability to provide critical veterinary procedures at a cost that is manageable for many pet owners who might otherwise struggle to afford care elsewhere. This commitment to affordability is not at the expense of quality, as evidenced by positive recovery stories and grateful pet owners. The center's connection to The ANNA Shelter, a well-known animal welfare organization, underscores its mission-driven approach. This association often means that the wellness center plays a crucial role in providing care for shelter animals, but also extends its services to the public with the same ethos of care and efficiency.
Another significant feature is the compassionate and efficient staff. Customers consistently praise the team for being "efficient, kind, and cost-effective." The review highlighting the staff's detailed instructions on how to prepare pets for surgery and the prompt check-in process illustrates their organizational prowess and commitment to client education. The follow-up call the day after a procedure, checking on the pets' recovery, is a prime example of their dedication to patient well-being and exceptional customer service, building trust and reassurance for pet owners. The sheer volume of animals they "touch in a year" is a testament to their operational capacity and their impact on the community.
Regarding promotional information, The Anna Wellness Center-Erie, being associated with The ANNA Shelter, often participates in community outreach and fundraising events that indirectly serve as promotional activities. While specific, time-sensitive veterinary service discounts or bundles are not extensively publicized in generic online searches, the very nature of their mission implies an ongoing commitment to affordability. Their participation in events such as "Spring Rummage Sale," "Summer Rummage Sale," and "Fall Rummage Sale" indicates active engagement with the community and fundraising efforts that likely support their ability to offer cost-effective services. These events, while not direct veterinary promotions, contribute to their overall positive image and ability to fulfill their mission. It is highly probable that their pricing structure itself acts as a continuous promotion, making their services inherently attractive to those seeking high-quality, affordable care. For the most up-to-date information on specific promotions, or if they offer package deals for puppies/kittens, senior pets, or wellness plans, directly contacting The Anna Wellness Center-Erie by phone is the most reliable method.
In conclusion, The Anna Wellness Center-Erie is an invaluable "Pet Hospital" for the Erie community, known for its dedication to providing accessible, affordable, and compassionate veterinary care. Its environment is designed for efficiency and a welcoming experience, while its services encompass a broad spectrum of routine, preventive, and surgical needs, with a particular strength in spay/neuter programs. The center's defining features include its strong community focus, affordability, and the unwavering kindness and efficiency of its staff. Through its direct services and broader association with The ANNA Shelter, it plays a vital role in enhancing the health and welfare of countless pets, making a tangible difference in the lives of animals and their owners in Erie, PA.

Mar 30, 2025 路 Amanda WoinerWhat an incredible place. While in the waiting room getting a procedure done which I couldn't afford to do elsewhere two other people came in with the same story. It was a total of five animals in 5 minutes that I was there. Imagine how many lives they touch in a year. The women behind the counter are great, overall just in awe of everything they do. Thank you
May 19, 2024 路 Matt KleinWe have taken our dog Lucky there since he was adopted in 2016 from the shelter. We never had any issues with shots or yearly checkups, but he never had any problems until recently either. Lucky had a skin tag that turned into a hanging mass from his underbelly. They performed the surgery and that went fine. Then we noticed that he slowly was not eating and drinking, not to mention throwing up. We had to beg them to be seen and are told they are not a full service vet. Very confused by this since they just did surgery. They had us drop him off in the morning and pick-up at close. They said he had an infected canine tooth and ear infection and that was what was causing his problems. They also said he had a small ulceration on his surgery sight. He could not sallow the pills and was not eating, drinking, and could barely walk after just 2 days of that appointment. They were closed the day we got him in at Glenwood Pet Hospital and honestly was a blessing in disguise. The vet there told us that he has Lymphoma cancer and that's why he was not eating or drinking because his lymph nodes were so swollen! She couldn't understand why he was diagnosed with the other issues because he didn't have an ear infection or infected canine tooth and all the meds he was given were incorrect too. They even took.his cone off and said he did not need that! I was so upset I stopped my $230 check and called them to let them know. The girl I spoke to was not very nice, told me they did clean his ears, so that was why no infection was there, that she would let the doctor know, and notify the director that I canceled my check. Well please do! I feel completely ripped off and lied to! Very disappointed and will not be back to the Wellness Center. This does not have anything to do with the Anna Shelter, as they are wonderful and do many great things! Unfortunately, the Wellness Center East is just not a very professional establishment. We will not be returning.
Aug 18, 2023 路 Kristy MillerThe people were so very nice! I dont quite understand fixing a male dog. You leave the wound open, but each vet does it differently. They o call to check up on your animal. Which I found to be great! The only thing is trying to contact them to get scheduled for your animal is a bit of a nightmare. But other than that, I had a great experience.
Jul 16, 2023 路 Tiffany BramlettAbsolutely the worst human beings I have ever met. The lady at the front desk was ridiculous. Obviously does not care about animals at all. Should not be working in a place like this! She made it a point to tell me to make sure I sign the paperwork saying I was responsible for any possible life-saving procedures that needed done basically if my pet were to have a bad reaction, they would not resuscitate my pet unless I sign the paperwork agreeing to pay all additional fees like seriously she had the nerve to look at me and say we won't save your pet if you don't sign this! I was told a price of $80 for the procedure that I had done then when I get there it was a whole Nother price because they added additional fees. It was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. These people do not care about pets, and I would not recommend anyone go there! I will never go back to this place I will go somewhere else these people are horrible didn't care about animals they care only about money it's sad 馃槩
