BEWARE - PLEASE READ - Our sweet kitty died in their care! We had a stray kitty girl show up at our house as we were mourning the loss of our 13 year old pitty baby. She was the purest form of an angel I’ve ever met. I’ve never met another cat like her. I scheduled at Texas Litter Control to keep cost low since we already have 3 other fur babies. The person assisting my husband at check in was extremely short and didn’t want any questions. We got things straightened out and they performed the spay surgery. They called around 1pm to say our girl was ready for pickup and at 5pm when I was told to come get her, she had passed away. We understand things happen but with so many pets they operate on daily, there’s no way they can get the after surgery care that some animals may require. My husband and I are absolutely heartbroken as that was a mistake that cannot be reversed. Please think twice before scheduling your pet here.

Texas Litter Control Introduce

Welcome to Texas Litter Control, a pet hospital located at 586 Sawdust Rd in Spring, Texas (77380), USA. Operating as a pet hospital with a focus on affordability, Texas Litter Control primarily offers spay and neuter services to the local community. You can reach them at (281) 528-1238 or their mobile number +1 281-528-1238.

Information regarding the specific environment of Texas Litter Control is limited in the provided text. However, the focus on high-volume spay and neuter services at a lower cost suggests a facility designed for efficiency in these procedures. While detailed descriptions of the clinic's ambiance, layout, and specific amenities are not mentioned, the contrasting customer experiences offer some indirect insights. One review mentions a staff member at check-in being "extremely short and didn’t want any questions," which could indicate a fast-paced environment. Conversely, another reviewer found the workers to be "so nice" and that they "explained everything," suggesting that positive interactions are also possible. Without more comprehensive information, it is difficult to fully characterize the clinic's environment, but it likely prioritizes efficiency for the high volume of surgeries performed.

As a pet hospital specializing in spay and neuter services, Texas Litter Control's primary offerings revolve around these surgical procedures for cats and dogs. Spaying, the surgical removal of a female animal's ovaries and uterus, and neutering, the surgical removal of a male animal's testicles, are crucial for population control and can also offer various health and behavioral benefits for pets. Given the significant price difference compared to a full-service veterinary clinic reported by one customer, it is likely that Texas Litter Control operates on a high-volume, low-cost model for these specific surgeries. While the reviews primarily focus on spay and neuter, it is possible that they may offer limited additional services related to these procedures, such as pre-surgical examinations and post-operative care instructions. However, the available information does not detail a broad range of general veterinary services.

A key feature of Texas Litter Control appears to be its affordability, particularly for spay and neuter procedures. One customer reported a significantly lower price for neutering a large dog compared to a quote from their regular veterinarian, making these essential surgeries more accessible to pet owners on a budget. This suggests that Texas Litter Control aims to provide a cost-effective solution for pet population control and routine sterilization. However, it is crucial to consider the context of this affordability in light of other customer experiences.

The provided reviews present a stark contrast in customer experiences. One reviewer recounts a tragic outcome where their newly adopted stray kitten passed away after a spay surgery at Texas Litter Control. This review raises serious concerns about the level of post-operative care provided, suggesting that the high volume of surgeries may impact the individual attention given to each animal during recovery. The reviewer explicitly advises caution and suggests that the clinic may not be equipped to handle the after-surgery care that some animals might require. This is a critical point for potential clients to consider.

In contrast, another reviewer had a positive experience with the neutering of their large dog. They praised the niceness of the workers, the clarity of explanations provided, and the smooth recovery of their pet. This positive feedback highlights the potential for satisfactory outcomes at Texas Litter Control, particularly for routine procedures in healthy animals. However, the conflicting experiences underscore the importance of considering all available feedback when making a decision about entrusting your pet's care to this facility.

Information regarding a dedicated "pharmacy" at Texas Litter Control is not explicitly provided. However, as a facility performing surgical procedures, they would likely dispense necessary medications related to these surgeries, such as pain relievers and antibiotics for post-operative care. Given their focus on spay and neuter, the range of medications offered might be primarily limited to those directly related to these procedures. It is advisable for pet owners to inquire specifically about the post-operative medications provided and any additional prescriptions that might be necessary for their pet's recovery.

Positioned as "Texas Litter Control" within the platform category "Pet Hospital," this veterinary care provider emphasizes its role in offering affordable spay and neuter services. The significant price difference reported by one customer suggests that their primary focus is on making these essential procedures accessible. However, the critical negative review regarding a fatal outcome post-surgery raises serious concerns about the quality of care, particularly in the post-operative period. Potential local users must carefully weigh the affordability aspect against the reported negative experience and consider the individual needs and potential risks associated with their pet's procedure.

Currently, specific promotional information beyond the implicitly lower cost of spay and neuter services is not available in the provided text. The primary appeal appears to be the reduced financial burden of these common surgical procedures. However, the contrasting customer experiences highlight the importance of looking beyond price alone and considering the potential trade-offs in terms of individual attention and post-operative care. Local users should inquire about the clinic's protocols for post-surgical monitoring, pain management, and handling of potential complications before making a decision.

In conclusion, Texas Litter Control in Spring, TX, offers affordable spay and neuter services, which can be a significant benefit for pet owners seeking cost-effective solutions for these common procedures. One customer reported a positive experience with the neutering of their dog. However, a deeply concerning review details the death of a kitten following a spay surgery, raising serious questions about the level of post-operative care and the potential risks associated with a high-volume approach. Local users considering Texas Litter Control should carefully review all available feedback, inquire about their specific protocols and aftercare procedures, and weigh the affordability against the potential risks before entrusting their beloved pets to their care.

We decided to neuter our 3 year old lab. He weighs about 100lbs. Our regular vet quoted $1200 for the procedure. Which was way too much! Luckily someone recommended Texas litter control and the price was $200. We made the appointment and showed up at 7:15am. The workers were so nice and explained everything. We were extremely pleased and picked up our dog at 5pm and he was fine and recovery was a breeze. I highly recommend them!!

I love them. They have taken care of three of my cats and one of my dogs. They do a great job. They do great care. The only problem with this place is you cannot call them because they never answer or it never gets to them to answer, and that is not good at all One can purchase meds from them like fleas ticks etc but if you want to find out how much it costs or if they even carry it, you can’t get through that is just not OK.

I felt like I needed to share! Texas Litter Control has really been wonderful. Several years back we started rescuing kittens and cats. It was more like one here and there and I would take them in to TLC for spay or neuter surgery. When we moved out to the country that’s when more kittens and cats were found. What I love about TLC is their pricing is so great and it really helps especially when we are getting many done. All of them have come home doing great with their recovery. No complications. I’m no where near what many rescues and shelters do for so many animals but to see how TLC is with the animals I bring in I can only imagine the help they do with others. I will keep doing my part with helping on the population and finding new forever homes for these fur babies. I will also stay with TLC because of the wonderful service they provide. I thank each person that is involved. It really is an awesome thing!

I have taken 4 community cats so far. All did very well. The staff is very straightforward. Check in and check out was very quick. The option to prepay online is very convenient. Overall great experience at this location. Will definitely be back when needed!
