Please read if you have cats!! Dr. Perrier is one of the most callous vets I’ve come across. I brought my first cat in for an emergency- the Dr had no clue what it was and could not do blood work because they do not do blood in house, but he still poked her with antibiotics and nausea meds. I was under the impression that he was just a good doctor who will provide medication when needed so I made an appointment for my kitten to get neutered. So I brought my kitten Zoro in for surgery and he also had a bloated firm stomach. Since I am not a vet nor do I have experience with FIP, I told the doctor I think it’s gas or bloating. The doctor brushed my comments off and took him to the back to preform surgery. When I got Zoro in the afternoon he sounded terrible. He had issues breathing and was extremely lethargic. His stomach was also more swollen than before. After a night of crying and doing my own research- I rushed him to the ER. The ultrasound revealed fluid in his abdomen and the ER vet said it’s suspicious of FIP. They encouraged me to try and get in contact with Dr. Perrier even though their office did not call me like they said they would with any post op instructions. Since the ER vet encouraged me to reach out- I did and left a message with the receptionist. The doctor was supposed to reach out and never did. I called my old vet who then reached out and got him to call me. The ER vet said he would be able to provide medication and help my baby- but when he called he said he wouldn’t send a prescription for something he doesn’t have a diagnosis for and the medication for FIP is so new. Funny cause he poked my first cat with meds no problem. The Dr also claimed they did blood work- when he also claimed they do not do blood work in house. When the vet asked for the record it showed absolutely nothing and was on a blank sticker- hand written. They also charged me over 1,000.00 for a neuter! I’ve paid way less getting both my female cats spayed. Also there’s no transparency- no quote - no estimate. Just surprise you owe over 1,000.00$. Please do not take your cats here. I will be working with a vet to see if the blood results were authentic. Complete nightmare experience. Also he kept saying I won’t charge you, it’s on the house- which is strange as if he was a salesman- still he proceeds to charge insane prices for him working for 20 minutes. I had a strange feeling about him my gut and I should’ve followed it.

Terry Animal Hospital Introduce
Welcome to the local introduction of Terry Animal Hospital, a dedicated pet hospital located at 3 Washington St, Rockville Centre, NY 11570, USA. As a vital part of the local pet care ecosystem, Terry Animal Hospital aims to provide essential veterinary services for the well-being of your beloved animal companions. Operating under the platform category of Pet Hospital, this establishment offers a range of services and potentially related goods to cater to the diverse needs of pet owners in the Rockville Centre area and beyond. You can reach them at their phone number: (516) 764-2880 or mobile phone: +1 516-764-2880.
Understanding the environment of a veterinary hospital is crucial for pet owners seeking a comfortable and reassuring space for their animals. While specific details about the interior ambiance and facilities of Terry Animal Hospital are not explicitly available online, it is typical for a reputable pet hospital to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This includes examination rooms designed for the comfort of both pets and owners, surgical suites equipped for various procedures, and potentially separate waiting areas to minimize stress, especially between different animal species. We can infer that Terry Animal Hospital strives to uphold these standards to provide a professional and caring setting for all patients.
The core of any pet hospital lies in the services it offers. Based on the limited information available, Terry Animal Hospital likely provides a range of essential veterinary services. These commonly include routine check-ups and vaccinations to maintain your pet's preventive health. Diagnostic services, such as laboratory testing (though one review mentions limitations in in-house blood work for cats), and imaging techniques like X-rays or ultrasounds are often part of their offerings to identify and understand various health conditions. Surgical services, ranging from routine procedures like neutering (as mentioned in one of the reviews) to more complex operations, are also typically provided. Furthermore, treatment for illnesses and injuries, including the administration of medications, wound care, and other necessary interventions, would fall under their scope of care. It is advisable to contact Terry Animal Hospital directly to inquire about the comprehensive list of services they currently provide for different types of pets.
Features that distinguish a pet hospital can significantly influence a pet owner's choice. One positive aspect highlighted in a customer review is the long-term relationship and positive experiences with Dr. Foy and the team for a large breed dog over a decade. This suggests a focus on building trust, providing consistent care, and demonstrating skill, knowledge, compassion, and honesty in their approach. The review also praises the team's ability to handle a dog that is not always cooperative during veterinary visits, indicating experience and patience in animal handling. The sincerity and professionalism of the front staff and technicians, along with the ease of appointment scheduling, are also mentioned as positive features contributing to a positive overall experience for some pet owners.
However, it is essential to acknowledge a contrasting negative review detailing a distressing experience with a cat under the care of Dr. Perrier. This review raises concerns about diagnostic capabilities, transparency in pricing, and post-operative care. The customer reported a lack of clarity regarding their cat's condition, dissatisfaction with the treatment provided, unexpected high costs without prior estimates, and alleged inconsistencies in statements regarding in-house blood work. This feedback underscores the importance for pet owners to communicate openly with their chosen veterinary hospital about all aspects of their pet's care, including diagnosis, treatment plans, and associated costs.
Given these contrasting experiences, it is challenging to provide definitive promotional information. However, based on the positive review, Terry Animal Hospital might emphasize its long-standing commitment to providing experienced and compassionate care, particularly for dogs. They could highlight the expertise of their veterinarians, especially Dr. Foy, in managing various medical issues and their ability to work effectively with animals that may be anxious or uncooperative during examinations. The friendly and efficient service provided by the front staff and technicians could also be a point of promotion.
Conversely, the negative review suggests areas where Terry Animal Hospital could focus on improvement, such as enhancing communication with cat owners, ensuring transparent pricing with clear estimates for all procedures, and possibly reassessing protocols for feline diagnostics and post-operative care. Addressing these concerns could significantly improve the overall perception and trust within the local community, especially among cat owners.
As a local user, it is recommended that you consider these different perspectives when evaluating Terry Animal Hospital for your pet's needs. Direct communication with the hospital to discuss your specific requirements, inquire about their services and fees, and understand their approach to animal care is always advisable. Visiting the facility, if possible, can also provide valuable insight into their environment and how they interact with animals.
In conclusion, Terry Animal Hospital in Rockville Centre is a local pet hospital that has served the community for a significant period, with some pet owners reporting positive experiences characterized by skilled and compassionate care, particularly for canine patients. However, a critical review highlights potential concerns, especially regarding feline care, diagnostic transparency, and billing practices. Local users are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence, communicate openly with the hospital, and consider their individual pet's needs when making decisions about veterinary care.

Sep 27, 2024 · Jacklyne SamanthaWe have been working with Terry Animal Hospital and Dr. Foy for our large breed 100+ lb dog for a decade. Our dog has had his share of medical issues through out the years, some life threatening. Dr. Foy and his team have always executed skill, knowledge, compassion and honesty. We have felt confident in their plan of care, medication, supplements and behavioral recommendations. Our dog doesn't always love the vet and Dr. Foy and his team are able to mitigate his behavior and provide adequate examination. Even till the end, the office has been sincere and professional. The front staff and techs are patient and friendly. It is not difficult to make an appt. Thank you, TAH and Dr. Foy. Would 100% recommend Terry Animal Hospital.
