Welcome to Terra Veterinary Services Inc
Welcome to the local introduction of Terra Veterinary Services Inc, operating as a dedicated Pet Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri. Understanding the importance of accessible and reliable veterinary care for your beloved companions, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of Terra Veterinary Services based on available information. As a local Pet Hospital, Terra Veterinary Services Inc is positioned to offer a range of services catering to the health and well-being of your pets.
Located at 1931 S Jefferson Ave, Lebanon, MO 65536, USA, Terra Veterinary Services Inc can be contacted at phone number (417) 532-9147 or mobile phone +1 417-532-9147. This provides local pet owners with direct lines of communication for inquiries, appointments, and in case of urgent needs.
Based on the available customer reviews, experiences appear to vary significantly. One positive review highlights the prompt and effective care provided by Dr. Henderson for a horse experiencing colic. The reviewer specifically mentioned the veterinarian's quick response on a late Saturday afternoon, her pleasant demeanor, and the successful treatment of their horse. This suggests that Terra Veterinary Services Inc may offer mobile veterinary services, particularly for large animals like horses, and has a veterinarian capable of handling emergency situations efficiently and professionally.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This customer strongly advises against taking dogs to Terra Veterinary Services. The detailed account alleges a severe complication during a routine spaying procedure six years prior, where the dog reportedly almost bled out. The review claims the clinic did not inform the owner of this critical situation until pick-up and noted a large incision with approximately 13 staples. More alarmingly, the same review recounts a recent discovery of a surgical pad found inside the dog, which they believe was left during the initial surgery six years earlier. This foreign object allegedly caused a massive tumor, endangering the dog's life. The reviewer expresses extreme dissatisfaction and gratitude towards another veterinary hospital, Eastburn Veterinary Hospital, for identifying and rectifying the alleged mistake.
Considering these contrasting accounts, it is challenging to provide a definitive and universally positive description of the environment, services, and features of Terra Veterinary Services Inc. Potential local users should be aware of the diverse range of experiences reported by previous clients. While one customer experienced excellent and timely care for their horse, another reported a severely negative experience involving a surgical complication and a retained foreign object leading to significant health issues for their dog.
As a Pet Hospital, Terra Veterinary Services Inc likely offers a range of standard veterinary services. These typically include routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostic procedures (such as blood tests and imaging), and surgical interventions. Based on the reviews, they appear to offer surgical services, including spaying, and may have the capability for mobile veterinary care for certain animals. However, the conflicting review raises serious concerns about the quality of surgical procedures and post-operative care at this facility.
Features that might be associated with Terra Veterinary Services Inc, based on the positive review, could include:
- Emergency veterinary services, at least for equine patients.
- Mobile veterinary care for large animals.
- Experienced veterinarians capable of handling critical conditions.
- Prompt response times for urgent cases.
However, the negative review casts a shadow on these potential features, suggesting possible issues with surgical safety protocols, post-operative monitoring, and communication with pet owners in case of complications.
Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly provided in the given data. Therefore, we cannot offer any details about current promotions, discounts, or special offers that Terra Veterinary Services Inc might be running. Local users are advised to contact the clinic directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about any such promotions or to seek further information about their services and protocols.
In conclusion, Terra Veterinary Services Inc is a Pet Hospital located in Lebanon, MO, offering veterinary care that appears to have resulted in both positive and severely negative experiences for different customers. While they seem to offer services ranging from routine care to surgery and potentially mobile veterinary services, the significant negative feedback regarding a retained surgical item and alleged negligence during a spaying procedure should be a serious consideration for potential clients. Local users are strongly encouraged to conduct further research, seek additional reviews, and potentially visit the facility to assess the environment and discuss their pet's specific needs and concerns with the veterinary staff before making a decision about their pet's care.
It is crucial for pet owners to feel confident and secure in their choice of veterinary care provider. The contrasting reviews presented here highlight the importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting a Pet Hospital for your beloved animals. While the positive experience with the equine care is noteworthy, the serious allegations raised in the negative review warrant careful consideration and further investigation by prospective clients.
As a platform connecting local users with Pet Hospitals, we aim to provide an objective overview based on the available information. In the case of Terra Veterinary Services Inc, the information suggests a need for potential clients to weigh the positive feedback regarding equine emergency care against the serious concerns raised about surgical procedures and aftercare for canine patients. We recommend that local users prioritize transparency and open communication with any veterinary service provider to ensure the best possible care for their pets.

Feb 03, 2025 · Brent JeffriesI HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NEVER NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG TO TERRA VET!!! If I could give no stars I would!! Story time!!! 6 years ago we took our dog to terra vet to get her fixed she ended up almost bleeding out in the middle of her procedure. Which they never called to inform me about and told me upon pick up. Her incision was huge she had about 13 staples. Ok fast forward to today this is a surgical pad found inside my dog thats been there for 6 years!!! Which caused her to have a MASSIVE tumor, the size of a cantaloupe in her stomach!!! Almost killing her the first time wasent enough for them i guess. To say im mad is an understatement!! And a HUGE Thank you to the lovely people up at Eastburn veterinarian hospital for helping our poor little girl out and finding and correcting a mistake that should have never happened in the first place!!
Feb 19, 2025 · Shayla DinwiddieIf I could I wouldn't even give this place a star. It's the worst place ever to take your pets. My first pet I took there got hit by a car they cut the hip joint out wrapped her leg that was broke. Told me not to let that wrapping get wet. Sent me on my way within four days the rapping was soaking wet they told me to come in at the end of that week they would rewrap it. I took my dog to another vet we unwrap the half cast, Terre vets did not close a wound that was on that leg. Loose skin had rotten she had an affection which they never gave me any antibiotics for that incident. They even left the IV port in her other leg. Fast forward to my dog now Pecious that got into a dog fight had an inch and a half to 2 in slash in her groin area. They got me in that day done surgery on her to stitcher up. Came and picked her up the next day she had a funky smell to her and never thought anything of it thought maybe that was from surgery. They gave me antibiotics pain meds told me to keep the cone of shame on her this was on a Thursday. That weekend the stink was worse and none of her stitches held she still has an inch and a half to 2-in gash in her stomach near her groin. Call them that Monday being bad weather they were limited on people but I was able to go take her to another vet. So that stink I was smelling is because she was severely infected the stitches I'm assuming because of the infection and where it was located at busted open. The vet I took her to stated that they could not put stitches in her because of the infection and it would do no good. That Terra vet clinic did not give strong enough antibiotics for my dog. So now I have to run cold water any open hole to keep it rinsed out give her stronger medication and better pain meds. So this veterinary clinic is not batting 100 with me two of my fur babies I had trusted to them was a disaster. So I would state do not take your dog there if you love them. The first vet was the male vet, the second vet was the female. Do not trust either one of them.
Jan 07, 2025 · Dee CrazinessI would have given 5 stars but I had an emergency and could not get a hold of anyone until the next day. Other than that they are amazing with my pets, appointments are fast, and the staff is very friendly.
Dec 06, 2024 · Lisa LeffertI love the vets, they are amazing and straight to the point. Very reasonable prices as well however the vet tech that was in the room today was absolutely disgusting. She ripped my 5 month old cat out of his cage and when he starts freaking out blames it on fleas and refused to put his medicine on because of how he was acting… well miss girl I’d react the same way. She didn’t ease him into the situation at all just ripped him out of the cage I’ve taken him to the vet 3x since I’ve had him (I’ve only had him maybe 4-6 weeks) and he’s NEVER acted like that. Not even when my 15 month old grabs him he’s always so calm. She was the problem but treated me as if I was. I’m there to get my cats help, he’s had issues since I’ve got him and just want him to feel better. I had to leave the room cause I didn’t want to cause a scene. My fiance stayed in the room who’s the most respectful and calm person I know. He never notices when someone is rude he comes out to the car and explained she did the exact same thing to our other cat who was also being seen. He told me he would never be coming back again and would rather pay double then have to deal with her again. The job maybe just isn’t meant for her. The vet it’s self is amazing. Her not so much.
