My 12.5 year old mini dachshund, Roxie, was referred to Dr. Stein by her general vet. Roxie is a healthy and active dog, involved in multiple dog sports. Unfortunately despite my efforts she has had some issues with her teeth over the years. Dr. Stein is a dental specialist, which means he has completed extra training relative to his speciality. His practice is dedicated to dentistry. We had our initial consult and surgery the same day, which is a good option so you don’t have to bring your pet back for the surgery. Dr. Stein explained what he saw going on with Roxie and what he would need to do to correct these issues. He let me know cost as well. I believe the cost was reasonable. For some people the costs might be tough to manage but there are options such as Care Credit that you can look into prior to your appointment. Roxie did well in surgery and Dr. Stein said she should have restricted movement (including mouth, so soft diet) for 14 days. I was happy to hear at our re check appointment that Roxie had healed very well and she could go back to normal life. Dr Stein is professional and compassionate and skilled. I would highly recommend him and no doubt another one of my dachshunds will present at his office someday. In closing, guys- be nice to your veterinarian. Some are getting burned out, they are leaving clinical practice and some are taking their own lives. They aren’t getting rich believe me. We are going to loose our vets if we, the general public, don’t start letting them know they are appreciated.

Jun 24, 2022 · Jody DeanWe have a rescue husky puppy with multiple dental issues. She suffered an injury at 8 weeks old, coupled with what appears to be some genetic defects that just created multiple issues. With such a young dog, we wanted to give her the best chance at a normal active life doing what dogs love to do best including chewing on toys and bones, etc. Dr. Stein was very thorough in his initial exam-determining the specific problem areas that would need to be addressed. The office kept us on the list to try and fit Mushka in on the surgery schedule sooner rather than later, and they were able to fit us in due to another cancellation within just a couple of weeks. During her surgery, when he found teeth buds in her nasal cavity, the office called to keep me informed of what they had found and what additional would need to be done above and beyond what was already initiated. In addition to just her basic surgery and care, Dr. Stein seems to really care about the animals. He spent a good bit of time just loving and hugging on Mushka to help her feel as comfortable as possible since, of course, as many dogs are, she has zero interest in having her mouth examined. We appreciate all Dr. Stein and his team did for Mushka to alleviate her pain and give her back the most normal life we can provide her. She'll be back for re-checks, and should we have any others in need of dental care, we'll be back more. If we could talk him into checking the goat and sheep rescues' teeth, we would take them too!
Apr 16, 2022 · Shelley WTwo years from our original appointment and we now have a Veterinary Dentist in our area and her comment was “whoever did the work on her teeth, and did the root canals saved her teeth and did a great job”… thank you very much Dr. Stein and your staff for the great job you did for our dog Maizey. Our dog Maizey, had damaged both K-9’s and they needed root canals. It was also discovered she had two broken teeth when X-rays were taken. We felt complete trust in leaving Maizey, with Dr. Stein, and his staff. They are excellent caregivers. We would highly recommend Dr. Stein, for any veterinary dental work. Maizey is once more her happy and energetic self.
Oct 26, 2022 · Mark CornMy poor cat. Mr. Binx, had terrible gum disease and his teeth had to be pulled. I was very worried, but my kitty was himself again the day after surgery. Dr. Stein takes the time to explain everything and takes the time to answer your questions. He's even available for any questions after the surgery. Dr. Stein did a wonderful job on my cat. He will now be free of pain. He is a wonderful Dr. Actually one of the best I've ever dealt with. If your animal is suffering with mouth issues, Dr. Stein's your man. I can't say enough good things about him. He's wonderful.
Jun 09, 2023 · Kimberly SipesDr. Stein is extremely professional and knowledgeable! Our dog had an oral mass and he thoroughly explained all of our options, the cost, procedure, recovery, etc. He also explained how each option would be impacted by the biopsy results. Our dog had a fast recovery with no issues at all, the staff called to check on her recovery, and the follow up appointment is included with the surgery cost! PLEASE do yourself and your pet a favor and choose an oral surgeon over your typical vet for any dental work. I promise that you get what you pay for and Dr. Stein is worth every penny! Thank you to Dr. Stein and the entire staff for taking care of our Addie!! ❤
