Ten West Bird & Animal Hospital

I rate Dr. Powers a 1/5 because I took my Indonesian Blue Tongue Skink in for reptile mites which are quite common in reptiles. She didn’t really handle him too much, and didn’t seem to know much about his kind. She lied to me telling me that the medicine she advised and applied to him(Advantage II) was “prescription” only. FALSE. I’m aware that i can purchase that very medication over the counter at any local PetsMart or Petco as it is used on kittens and cats. I asked her how much it was since I can get one dose for $16.99, she then told me that it was $28. So overall, i feel lied to, and cheated and my poor reptile wasn’t treated the way he should have been since she misrepresented herself. Not to mention, the questions she was asking me were quite offensive, almost felt like an interrogation as if i don’t have all of my pets’ best interest in heart and mind. I have since taken him to a different well trusted true exotic vet since he still had mites after his visit with her on Monday(12/2/24). You should stick to warm blooded animals, this way you don’t overpromise and under deliver. Thank you but no thank you.

Yearly checkup for my Piccolo, everything went great as expected, all the people were amazing as well, my Dr Barbara Powers DVM extremely professional and delivering the best plus service and understanding all our concerns, thanks lots everyone at the Hospital; looking forward to seeing you soon 😀 He will be taking some time off from mom, (me) I'm mucho less stressed about leaving my baby Piccolo behind and staying in with the wonderful crew at the clinic. Thanks so much for everything you do for us.

These guys were BEYOND AMAZING!!! Their prices were extremely reasonable, the team was very welcoming, friendly and professional, and the Doctor was so understanding and even let me listen to my little "Stella's" heartbeat!!! It was such a beautiful moment. I will never bring my chickens anywhere else!!

This place is wonderful. They treat your pets like they are their own, and they take care of you. My pup had to have some extensive dental work done, and the recovery was so quick it was insane. My dog was never once fearful of coming back to this place, even after her surgery. I’m so glad I found a vet this great. EDIT 07/13/24 - I have to update this review because the attentiveness of everyone in this office saved my dog’s life. I came in because she had a new cough and had had a few seizures. She always gets anxious at the vet, and so I thought nothing of her heavy panting when we first arrived. The vet tech however immediately noticed her discolored gums and rushed her to the back. A few hours later I was at MissionVet Emergency with her and she’s being put into an oxygen tent due to heart failure. Because the vet tech and vet acted quickly and didn’t hesitate to refer me to a cardiologist, my Sadie is still here. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart!

This clinic is amazing not only did they help me out with the bill out of the kindness of their heart? They were also compassionate and caring with my cat. I will definitely continue to visit this clinic as long as I can until they run me off.
