My wife and I recently moved to the area and needed a new vet for our family dog. I called Sutton animal hospital and the staff was nice and very friendly. They scheduled us an appointment and walked us through the new patient / intake process. We saw Dr. Karen and Lynn was our veterinarian technician. Both were very nice! Took time to explain the procedures, test, etc that we would need for our dog and answered all our questions. They were extremely good at what they do and were able to make our dog feel less anxious and my wife and I couldn’t be happier we found them! 10/10 recommend for anyone in the area in need of a vet :)

Oct 02, 2024 · Dominic DeMaliaGreat vet. None better in central mass.
Dec 03, 2024 · Chris Pintothey were fine for routine care and non complex things. my cat had oral surgery here twice and it went very well. but when he developed chronic kidney disease and things became more complex I was left floundering very often because Sutton was not experienced enough and TUFTS was not available enough. I had noticed symptoms that he developed CKD about a year or two before he was diagnosed and I was told it was nothing to worry about. when his values came up slightly high I was told it was a normal part of aging. CKD is not a normal part of aging, because not all cats get it, and it needs to be treated or it will very quickly shorten the lifespan and be fatal. he was hospitalized for CKD crash about a month after that lab test and for the last 4 months of his life after, treatment was extremely difficult because it was caught so late. I had to teach myself veterinary science to try to advocate for my cat. in the end it wasn't enough. if you or anyone you know is considering a career in veterinary science, please consider being an ultrasound tech. we really need more readily available in the area. if my cat had been able to get an ultrasound when I wanted him to, his chances at surviving would have been better. instead I was lulled into a false sense of security by xray done here, and by the TUFTS providers who had no clue what was happening but didn't think it was urgent enough to call in the ultrasound techs. it was, in fact, life threatening. by the time he finally got diagnosed, almost a week after I knew something was wrong, most of his organs were failing. at least TUFTS sent me a card with handwritten notes from everyone who cared for him after my cat passed. I got nothing from Sutton, which was hurtful after being under their care for so long. they are not all bad, I feel badly because I had a lot of good experiences, but I don't think I can trust them anymore with future pets.
