My son, Joey brought our cat Edgar into the office today and he felt the receptionist did not introduce herself or explain what was going to happen. He also said a male doctor came in to check out Edgar and when Joey gave the history of Edgar鈥檚 illness the vet tech made a noise indicating that why did it take him two weeks to get him in to be seen for a cold?! The doctor did not introduce himself. Joey lives in Chicago and the soonest we cold get him in to the vet there was the end of March. We are glad he got antibiotics to help with his cold. I am very disappointed with how the team reacted. 馃檨

Welcome to Summers Sarah DVM

Welcome to the introduction of Summers Sarah DVM, your local Pet Hospital located at 2412 Parker Ave, Marshalltown, IA 50158, USA. As a part of the 'Pet Hospital' platform category, Summers Sarah DVM aims to provide veterinary services for the animals in the Marshalltown area. Based on the limited but contrasting feedback from real customers, we can attempt to introduce their environment, services, features, and any potential implications for local users.

The provided reviews offer differing perspectives on the environment and atmosphere of Summers Sarah DVM. One customer, whose son brought their cat in, reported negative interactions with the receptionist and a vet tech, noting a lack of introduction and a seemingly judgmental remark about the timeline for seeking care. This suggests that some aspects of the clinic's environment and staff communication may not always meet expectations for all clients. However, another reviewer had a very positive experience, describing Dr. Sarah Summers as "more than just a veterinarian" and someone they would trust with their children, emphasizing her wonderful treatment of their animals. This indicates that Dr. Summers, at least, fosters a caring and trustworthy environment. The overall environment appears to be one where experiences can vary depending on the interaction and potentially the staff member involved.

Based on the customer feedback, we can infer some of the services offered by Summers Sarah DVM:

  • General Veterinary Care: The fact that a cat was brought in for a "cold" and received antibiotics suggests that they provide general medical care for common pet ailments.
  • Consultations and Examinations: A male doctor (presumably a veterinarian working with Dr. Summers) examined the cat, indicating that consultations and examinations are part of their services.
  • Prescription Medications: The cat was prescribed antibiotics, showing that the clinic can provide necessary medications.

Given that this is a Pet Hospital, it is reasonable to assume they offer a broader range of services, such as vaccinations, preventative care, diagnostics, and potentially surgical procedures. However, these are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users would need to contact the clinic directly for a comprehensive list of their services.

The customer reviews provide some insights into the features of Summers Sarah DVM:

  • Compassionate Veterinarian (Dr. Sarah Summers): One reviewer described Dr. Summers as exceptionally caring and trustworthy, someone they wouldn't hesitate to leave their children with, highlighting her wonderful treatment of animals. This suggests that Dr. Summers provides a high level of compassionate care.
  • Potentially Lacking in Some Staff Communication: One review noted a lack of introduction from the receptionist and a negative remark from a vet tech, indicating that communication from some staff members may not always be ideal.
  • Unidentified Male Doctor: A male doctor was mentioned as examining the pet but did not introduce himself, which might be a point of concern for some pet owners who appreciate knowing who is treating their animal.

The contrasting experiences suggest that while the care provided by Dr. Summers is highly regarded by at least one client, there might be inconsistencies in the overall staff interaction and communication.

In terms of promotional information, the glowing review of Dr. Sarah Summers as a compassionate and trustworthy veterinarian serves as a strong positive endorsement. The reviewer's statement that they wouldn't take their "fur babies" anywhere else is a powerful recommendation. This highlights the personal connection and trust that Dr. Summers seems to build with her clients. However, the negative feedback regarding the receptionist and vet tech could be a point of concern for potential new clients. There are no specific promotional offers mentioned in the provided text. Local users who prioritize a caring and trustworthy veterinarian might find Dr. Summers appealing, but they should also be aware of the reported issues with other staff interactions.

In conclusion, Summers Sarah DVM in Marshalltown, IA, as a Pet Hospital, is praised for the exceptional and compassionate care provided by Dr. Sarah Summers. However, one customer reported negative experiences with the receptionist and a vet tech regarding communication and demeanor. For local users, it appears that the quality of care from Dr. Summers is a significant positive aspect. If you value a veterinarian known for her wonderful treatment of animals, Summers Sarah DVM may be a good choice. However, it may be beneficial to be mindful of potential inconsistencies in staff interactions. Dr. Sarah Summers is more than just a veterinarian. She is the kind of doctor you would feel comfortable leaving your kids with. She is so wonderful to our animals and we all love her very much. I wouldn't consider taking my fur babies anywhere else.

Doc Sarah is great with our very large dogs. They actually enjoy going to see our vet. We have one dog who is 100lbs, he's neurotic, anxious, and hates to be handled. He enjoys his visits to doc Sarah. Jerry and the rest of the staff are amazing as well. I hope we can always take our pets here.

Small practice with one vet, dedicated staff, excellent care for my 13-year-old Pug-Chihuahua mix ("Chug") with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). My Joey gets twice a month B-12 injections and he loves his visits, and gets excited when I ask him if he "wants to go to the vet."

This is the very best place to take your fur kids, when you can't have them for a night or two.. They treat them so good and staff is always so cheerful and understanding!! Thank you guys for taking care of Jersey, but I think he missed me!! 馃グ
