Stockton Pet Hospital gave me the best possible experience in treating my sick kitty! I called early Monday morning with a pet emergency, after being turned away by 3 other local clinics who told me they weren’t accepting new patients, and was told by a very empathetic receptionist that they could squeeze me that morning since it was urgent. Upon arriving, I waited only a few minutes and my cat was given an extremely thorough exam. I appreciated how much time and attention he was given, and how I was given ample opportunity to ask questions and voice my concerns. My cat’s comfort was an obvious priority to the vet and treatment team, and they made every effort to minimize his stress as they treated him—using a calming pheromone, letting him ‘hide’ under a blanket as they examined him, and even giving him a churu treat. Perhaps the most pleasantly surprising part of my visit was the cost—for an emergency visit same day, it was more than reasonable. I was given a quote for my little guy’s treatment that was well-explained, and was sent home with recommendations for other products I could purchase for his recovery. Dr. Byrne and the whole team at Stockton impressed me with their empathy, care, and attention—I’m so thankful to have found such a wonderful vet!

After almost $2,000.00 dollars, offers of expensive laser treatments, pain meds and antibiotics we found out our cat was riddled with cancer. A second, more qualified vet took one look at STOCKTON'S own x-ray and recommended we not continue to cause our cat more pain. Shame on you for taking advantage of a family and for causing prolonged pain to the sweetest animal all for the sake of a dollar. Shame on you.

My husband and are a new dog owners, while searching for local vets we stumbled across Stockton Pet Hospital. Best decision ever. The staff was so friendly and were able to get me in quick when my dog broke her nail. they were so so gentle with her and answered all of my questions and concerns. The doctor was so professional and kind to us. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately, this pet hospital has gone downhill a lot from my experience in recent years, and I won't be going back. I have an elderly Golden Retriever (12 years old) who I brought in for breathing issues. They ran a litany of tests, all turned out to be much more expensive than other vets. The vet left an alarming voicemail regarding his heart test, indicating he was in advanced heart failure. I immediately took him to an ER as well as a specialist cardiologist. There is nothing wrong with his heart. Fortunately, the other vets were able to reassure me that this test (though expensive) often returns false positives, and were able to actually give me a reason for his breathing issues, which were actually related to his throat. Stockton never even considered this. Mind you, I've spent many thousands of dollars over this false positive result now. Additionally, if you want prescriptions, they will charge a LOT more than other places. I opted for getting an arthritis prescription that I could use with Chewy, but they only wrote it for 1 refill and charged me $25 to write it (just a piece of paper). They are one of very few vets who insist on mailing prescriptions to Chewy rather than doing business over the phone - super inconvenient. Then, when he was out of his 1 refill, I asked for another prescription and they have been telling me it was written for 5. Chewy and I both saw 1 prescription refill on the written prescription, and I don't appreciate being called a liar, especially with nothing to gain. Now they have completely stopped communicating and I will need to try to get a prescription with another vet before he runs out. There are better vets out there - this isn't it. ---- Update: I asked Chewy for a copy of the original prescription, showed them the proof that it was written for ONE refill, and they ignored it. I called and asked about the situation and they were super rude over the phone, unwilling to work with me on filling the script, even though I have copies and pictures of the original prescription. I am so surprised after years of being a customer of theirs. Again - find a different vet, for your pet's sake.

Hello All, thank you for treating Cooper and Wyatt so well, doing the research to obtain the information needed to satisfy the concerns. Animal Control has with policy of protection and keeping the quarantine requirements limited to our home, kept stress to a minimum. Staff is very professional and caring, Cooper and Wyatt are grateful,and doing well
