My 20 year old cat started having seizures mid morning. I called Starlight, as it's close and the cat and my other animals had been there in the past. I was told the clinic was open but no one was there who could see her. I was also told there was no one on call for emergencies and they didn't expect anyone to come in. Staff was very curt and not at all sympathetic. I made numerous calls to other local vets but there were no openings for that day being Friday. I also left numerous voice messages. After 5pm I received a call from another clinic asking if I was able to get my cat seen. They apologized for having not called earlier but their answering service had computer issues and they were just now in the process of answering messages. I explained I had not been able to get my cat seen. I was put on hold for less than 30 seconds and then told to come right in but I'd have to knock because they were already closed. They examined my cat and very patiently discussed with me what was happening and what treatment options I had. They were very gentle with my cat as they administered medication, helping me through the process as well. They then wrapped her in a blanket and put her in a box for me to take her home. Even though the clinic was closed they cared enough to stay after hours on a Friday night to take care of my cat. Starlight might be a beautiful clinic but in my opinion it doesn't have the heart needed to provide services needed for animals that are truly family members. This may be an isolated incident but I am not willing to take a chance again.

Welcome to Starlight Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to Starlight Veterinary Clinic, located at 10902 Eckel Rd, Blue Mounds, WI 53517, USA. You can contact them at (608) 437-8387 or +1 608-437-8387. As a local Pet Hospital, Starlight Veterinary Clinic aims to provide veterinary care for pets in the Blue Mounds area.

Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Starlight Veterinary Clinic is described by one reviewer as "a beautiful clinic." However, this positive comment regarding the aesthetics is contrasted with concerns about the clinic's operational aspects and staff demeanor. It's important to note that while the physical appearance may be appealing, the overall experience reported by some customers raises questions about the clinic's service delivery.

The services offered at Starlight Veterinary Clinic, as inferred from the reviews, include general veterinary care such as handling seizures in a 20-year-old cat and performing spay surgeries. However, one customer who contacted the clinic for a cat experiencing seizures reported being told that although the clinic was open, no one was available to see the animal, and there was no on-call emergency service. This suggests limitations in their immediate availability for urgent cases. Another review recounted a negative experience following a spay surgery on their dog, implying that surgical services are offered but with concerns raised about the quality of care in that instance. It's worth noting that past positive experiences were also mentioned by one of the dissatisfied reviewers, indicating that service quality might not be consistently perceived.

Features of Starlight Veterinary Clinic, as perceived through the reviews, are somewhat mixed. The "beautiful clinic" mentioned suggests a modern or well-maintained facility. However, a significant concern raised is the perceived lack of heart and compassion in providing necessary services, particularly during emergencies. The difficulty in receiving timely care for a seizing cat and the negative outcome reported after a spay surgery are critical points raised by customers. One reviewer also alleged the removal of bad reviews, which, if accurate, would affect the objectivity of any aggregated ratings. The availability of the clinic for past routine care is mentioned, but the more recent experiences shared highlight potential shortcomings in emergency response and surgical aftercare.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The focus of the feedback is on the quality and accessibility of care, rather than any special offers or promotions. Potential local users would need to contact the clinic directly to inquire about pricing for specific services or any ongoing promotions.

In summary, Starlight Veterinary Clinic in Blue Mounds, WI, is described as a "beautiful clinic" by one reviewer. However, the provided testimonials raise significant concerns regarding the availability of care during urgent situations, the compassion of the staff, and the quality of surgical services. One customer seeking help for a seizing cat was reportedly told no one was available to see the pet, and there was no emergency on-call service. Another review detailed a negative experience following a spay surgery. While the clinic may have provided satisfactory care in the past for some, these recent accounts suggest potential inconsistencies in service. Local users considering Starlight Veterinary Clinic as their Pet Hospital should be aware of these reported experiences and may want to inquire specifically about their emergency protocols and surgical care standards. Contact Starlight Veterinary Clinic at (608) 437-8387 or +1 608-437-8387 for more information about their current services and policies.

When choosing a Pet Hospital, factors beyond the physical appearance of the clinic are crucial. The availability of timely care, especially in emergencies, the compassion and responsiveness of the staff, and the quality of medical and surgical services are paramount for pet owners. The contrasting experiences shared by the reviewers of Starlight Veterinary Clinic highlight the importance of considering these aspects. While one might be initially drawn to a "beautiful clinic," the reported difficulties in accessing emergency care and the negative surgical outcome shared by others warrant careful consideration.

It is important for any Pet Hospital to ensure that their communication with clients is clear and empathetic, especially during stressful situations like a pet experiencing seizures. The curtness reported by one reviewer is also a factor that can impact a pet owner's overall experience and trust in the clinic. Furthermore, transparency regarding past service quality and a commitment to addressing and improving upon negative feedback are vital for building and maintaining a strong relationship with the community.

Local users looking for a Pet Hospital in Blue Mounds, WI, are encouraged to weigh the information presented in these reviews alongside their own priorities for veterinary care. Asking detailed questions about emergency protocols, surgical procedures, and staff communication practices when contacting Starlight Veterinary Clinic may help potential clients make an informed decision. It is also advisable to consider other local options to ensure the best fit for your pet's needs.

Shouldn't be open let alone get one star. I have had a couple bad experiences here. Easy to get 4 stars when bad reviews get removed. So here I am again ! I have had pets all my life and this is the only place I will not go back to. Do not take your pets here. My last dog could have had more time had they been more compassionate, my current dog could have had an easier life if they would have taken the time and pride in their work. She survived getting run over by a 25000lb truck and recovered minus a leg to almost die from a botched spay surgury from starlight. 2nd time posting this. I have gone into debt taking care of my pets because they are family to me. This place doesn't care!

If I could leave this place less than a one star review I would. My brother came here to put his beloved dog, Chevy, of 13 years down. Dr.Elmer (if you can even call her a doctor) was unprepared even though we had an appointment set at 10. She had to poke Chevy several times before getting a vein and then lost one due to having to go get the supplies thus leading to her having to poke her again. She was not emphatic at all and didn’t even give us a chance to say goodbye before she pushed the meds. She had us leave our beloved Chevy dog on the table to then go write a check because their credit card machine was down. Overall they were VERY unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone to ever go there. This was a hard time for our family and this place made it an even more hard time. They didn’t even offer condolences as we we’re all in shambles. Then I asked if they do any paw prints for the family and they said “yeah, but for an additional $45 charge”. To me that’s something that should be provided to the family and not an additional charge already on top of the cost to put them down. I’ve had to put dogs down before, but my brother has not and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

If it wasn't for the fast action to work on our cat Tiberius, I am quite sure he wouldn't have made it. Today he is back to himself and cuddly as ever. They saved his life and I can't thank them enough. The staff is amazing, patient, understanding, compassionate, professional, and awesome.

I am a licensed breeder been doing it 15 years. I contacted this vet clinic two weeks ago. Spoke extensively with their staff about possibly using their services going forward. this past Saturday I needed metronidazole to treat a litter of puppies with giardia symptoms, because my current vet was closed and an extra half hour drive. I was told it would not be a problem. They had to prepare it and I could pick it up Monday morning. when I called, the vet told me no I had to go all the way back to my other vet. this type of inconsistency and miscommunication cost my litter of puppies, another full day of being uncomfortable, and possibly making health issues worse .I spend $14,000 a year on veterinary care but unfortunately it won't be spent here.I can see why this clinic has such awful reviews.
