St Mina Animal Clinic

This vet has been home to us for over two years. Our cat Sage has been here for urinary blockages and also for his bad ear polyp growth. Dr. Benyamen and team have been nothing short of amazing every time. Dr B is knowledgeable, he explains everything to you, and has great bedside manner. The pricing is also very fair and relatively lower than many vets in the area and in NYC. These below reviews are disheartening to read but if you’re looking for a place for your pet to see care, I promise they will take care of them like their own. Two times my cat received treatment surgically, and I trust them with my life. Thank you team for the amazing service every time! I am glad my cat has an amazing care team.

I really thought I found a new vet for my cat. The one star is not even in regards to the entire service because Dr. Yousef was great in his delivery and the staff handling my cat was very attentive, not to mention that the Echo tech did it without having to sedate my feisty cat. They were all Godsends. However this review is more for Dr. Benjamin (the owner) and the way he handled my complaint. He told me that they handled the situation well and would hardly let me explain what happened. So since he wouldn't let me get a word in, I'll be more than happy to tell you all. On Tues I took my cat to them for an echo. It was a big thing about Banfield sending over his lab results. (Which I called Banfield and requested) For some reason they were sending visit notes without the results. But I knew I had the results somewhere at home so I figured even if they didn't receive it I could look for them and send it over. When I was leaving Tuesday I looked the receptionist dead in her face and asked her "did we get the lab results that we were waiting for"? And she said yes, so I left and moved on with my life. Now during his visit I asked Dr. Yousef if he should still get blood work and was told it was not necessary as not to further stress him out. The next day when the echo report came back, another doctor (I'm not sure who) called me to discuss, and I asked him if it was safe for my cat to be on a water pill when he has kidney disease. And I was told that the heart was more important than the kidneys and we needed to concentrate on that for now. Even if we just have him on water pills temporarily. You would think they had the labs by then right? NO they were still making these judgments without seeing the labs I thought they had. Then on Thursday (Mind you my cat is getting worse) they call me to tell me that they can't release the medication to Chewy without bloodwork because if my cat has kidney disease they need to see his levels first. WTF?!?!? Did I not ask about bloodwork on Tuesday, and the water pill on Wednesday?!? And now when I think my cat's meds are finally being processed by Chewy to be sent, they're not. They finally release the medication to Chewy on Friday morning after I sent the labs over. When I call back to make an official complaint and discuss dosage again that is when Dr. Benjamin gave me his behind to kiss like the misinformation they gave me has nothing to do with the quality of care that my cat has received. I should have known that they didn't have the labs still when I left on TUESDAY, I would have made sure that they had them when I returned home. At least by Wednesday when the echo came back they would have had the labs. And instead of us wasting AN ENTIRE DAY WHEN MY CAT IS SICK, we could have had this figured out on Wed instead of Friday when my cat is not feeling well. He now has not eaten anything since yesterday and is hiding under the bed. I really wish his meds were on their way. Thanks Dr. Benjamin. Your lack of compassion to even hear me out completely and APOLOGIZE has not gone unnoticed.

i had an appointment at 11am for my dog and waited an hour to get seen. why set appointment times if they’re not going to get seen at that said time . people have other things to do. After waiting i stepped out to grab something to eat and then they called me back in just to berate me about leaving this review. the owner and everyone in there was unprofessional. He stated they had emergencies which is fine but that was never communicated by the front desk , all i was told was that there was someone ahead of me. So not only did they waste my time, they clearly don't care about their patients. I can leave a review about MY EXPERIENCE and still should get the service i scheduled an appointment for and was going to pay for. The owner was trying to compare the wait to when i go to the doctors, but at MY doctors i never wait an hour after my appointment time, max like 10 minutes. They was rude and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

It was my first time taking my cat to the vet and they were very pleasant. They showed a lot of care and patience when handling Miracle. I recommend St. Mina Animal Clinic to anyone who loves their furries.
