I boarded my 2 year old German Shepherd here after the first night I got a call that she died. They claim she got tangled in the pully system, however this may have been prevented if someone checked on the animals throughout the evening and night. The animals are left alone from 5 pm to 8 am. If someone checked on them maybe she would be here today. Save your pets, money and the heartache of you and your children by taking your family pets somewhere else.

As a local Pet Hospital, St Clair Bed & Bone aims to serve the community by offering essential veterinary services. While specific details about the clinic's environment and facilities are not extensively described in the provided information, we can infer that the practice is equipped to handle various aspects of animal health. The mention of a veterinary technician assisting with a pet who was "fixed" suggests that surgical procedures are among the services offered. Furthermore, the positive feedback regarding the technician's sweet and kind demeanor indicates a focus on creating a comfortable experience for the animals under their care.

Dr. Mike Hermesmeyer is the veterinarian at St Clair Bed & Bone. One reviewer expressed strong positive sentiment, stating, "Love Doctor Hermesmeyer!!" This suggests that Dr. Hermesmeyer has built a positive rapport with some clients and is perceived as a caring and competent veterinarian. The review further highlights the positive interaction between a veterinary technician and a dog who was typically nervous around strangers, indicating a potential strength in handling and comforting animals.

The services offered at St Clair Bed & Bone appear to include surgical procedures, as evidenced by the mention of a dog being "fixed." While the specific range of veterinary services is not detailed, it is common for pet hospitals to offer a variety of medical, surgical, and preventative care, such as vaccinations, routine check-ups, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. Given the name "Bed & Bone," it is also clear that pet boarding services are provided at this location.

One of the features highlighted in a positive review is the caring nature of the veterinary technician. Their ability to connect with and comfort a nervous dog suggests a team that is attentive to the emotional well-being of the animals in their care. The reviewer also appreciated the communication regarding the pet's condition, indicating a commitment to keeping pet owners informed.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge a significantly negative review concerning the boarding aspect of St Clair Bed & Bone. This review details the tragic death of a boarded German Shepherd who reportedly became tangled in a pully system. The reviewer expressed concerns about the lack of overnight checks on the animals, stating that they are left alone from 5 pm to 8 am. This raises serious questions about the safety protocols and level of supervision provided during boarding hours. The reviewer strongly advises other pet owners to seek alternative care to avoid potential heartache and financial loss.

This stark contrast in customer experiences presents a complex picture of St Clair Bed & Bone. While one pet owner praises Dr. Hermesmeyer and the veterinary technician for their kindness and care during a surgical procedure, another recounts a devastating loss during a boarding stay, citing concerns about overnight supervision. It is essential for potential clients to consider both positive and negative feedback when making decisions about their pet's care.

Given the limited information available online, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of all the features and services offered at St Clair Bed & Bone. However, based on the provided reviews, we can identify veterinary care, including surgical procedures, and pet boarding as primary services. A notable feature appears to be the compassionate interaction of at least one veterinary technician with the animals. Conversely, a significant concern has been raised regarding the overnight supervision of boarded animals.

In conclusion, St Clair Bed & Bone, under the leadership of Dr. Mike Hermesmeyer, operates as a Pet Hospital offering veterinary care and boarding services in St Clair, Michigan. While some clients have reported positive experiences with the veterinary care provided, particularly highlighting the kindness of the staff, a serious incident concerning the safety and supervision of boarded animals has also been reported. Love Doctor Hermesmeyer!! Our dog just got fixed and he does not normally do well with strangers so we were very nervous. The veterinary tech came out and was so sweet and kind to him he loved it. Never even looked back when they walked him in. Kept him very comfortable and were great with communicating how he was doing etc. Can't recommend this veterinarian highly enough

Absolutely the worst vet I have ever been to. I have taken my cat here more than FIVE times for excessively peeing blood, and I told him from the first visit that I think she has diabetes. He continuously told me that wasn’t the case and that it was just a urinary tract infection. FIVE times he gave her amoxicillin to treat a UTI. I finally decided to take her to another vet & within TEN MINUTES of being there she was diagnosed with diabetes. I’m surprised he hasn’t been sued yet. I’m just glad he’s retired & nobody will be spending their money there again.

Dr. Mike was awesome! I am new to the area, and my Mini Aussie became ill. I called the office and he saw her that same morning, even though he was booked and I was a new patient to his office. He has a fantastic bedside manner. You can tell Dr. Mike truly loves his job and the pets he cares for!!

Best animal Veterinarian/hospital I could ever ask for. Dr. Mike and staff are amazing. Prices are good. When other Veterinarian's only would recommend either refinancing my house or putting our family dog down, Dr. Mike gave me hope. PROUD TO SAY, my dog is off all medications. Not having anymore seizures.
