Called today and explained to Jennifer what problems our 13 yr. old schnauzer was experiencing. Jennifer was extremely cold and unsympathetic to our dogs needs. She told me that the first opening was 6 days away and suggested that I take her to an emergency hospital on Riverside Dr. that they were not an emergency hospital. I have been taking our schnauzer 's to SPEAK for over 20 years! and when you need them the most they blow you off!!!! I understand places get busy but this is "outrageous". They had no problems taking our money for 20+ yrs. Shameful !!!

Welcome to Speak Animal Hospital

Welcome to Speak Animal Hospital, located at 351 Flint Rd, Binghamton, NY 13905, USA. Operating under the platform category of "Pet Hospital," Speak Animal Hospital aims to provide veterinary care and related services to the local community. As a pet hospital, their focus is on the health and well-being of animals. Based on the available customer reviews, we can piece together an understanding of their environment, services, features, and policies.

Information regarding the specific environment of Speak Animal Hospital is not detailed in the provided reviews. However, as a functioning pet hospital, it can be inferred that the facility includes examination rooms, potential surgical suites, areas for housing recovering animals, and possibly a pharmacy for dispensing medications. One positive aspect indirectly related to the environment is the mention that "Speak does have an exotic pets vet on their staff," suggesting that they are equipped and staffed to handle a diverse range of animal species, which might reflect in specialized areas or equipment within the hospital.

The services offered at Speak Animal Hospital appear to encompass general veterinary care, as indicated by the mention of a "checkup" for a rabbit where "no problems" were found. More significantly, one review highlights a policy regarding urgent care, stating, "Speak does like for you to be a pre-existing client prior to any urgent need care." This suggests that while they provide care for urgent needs, priority or immediate access might be given to established clients. The negative review details an experience where a long-term client with a 13-year-old schnauzer experiencing problems was told the first opening was six days away and was directed to an emergency hospital, with the reviewer noting that Speak is "not an emergency hospital." This suggests that their capacity for immediate, non-emergency urgent care for non-established clients, or even long-term clients during busy periods, might be limited.

Several features of Speak Animal Hospital can be identified from the reviews. Firstly, they have been serving the community for a long time, as indicated by a 20+ year relationship with one client. Secondly, a notable feature is that "Speak does have an exotic pets vet on their staff," which is a significant advantage for owners of non-traditional pets like rabbits and potentially other exotic animals. However, a potentially negative feature, based on one customer's experience, is a perceived lack of immediate availability for urgent needs, particularly if not an established client, and even for long-term clients during busy times. The policy of prioritizing pre-existing clients for urgent care is another key feature to note.

Currently, there is no explicit promotional information available in the provided text. The reviews primarily focus on service experiences and policies rather than any advertised specials or discounts. Therefore, we cannot comment on any promotional aspects at this time.

In summary, Speak Animal Hospital in Binghamton, NY, is a pet hospital that has served the community for over two decades and notably has a veterinarian specializing in exotic pets. They provide general veterinary care, including checkups. However, it is important for potential and current clients to be aware of their policy regarding urgent care, which seems to prioritize pre-existing clients and may have limited immediate availability for others. One long-term client expressed significant dissatisfaction with the lack of immediate care offered during a perceived urgent need. Conversely, another client reported receiving "great care" for their rabbit during a checkup. This suggests that routine care and specialized care for exotic pets are areas where they provide service. Local users considering Speak Animal Hospital should take into account their policy on urgent care and the mixed feedback regarding responsiveness during urgent situations.

I received great care for my Rabbit recently. I took him in for a 'checkup'. Fortunately, no problems. Speak does like for you to be a pre-existing client prior to any urgent need care. Thus the main reason for my visit. Speak does have an exotic pets vet on their staff.

If anyone has a reptile- I don't recommend taking them to Speak (atleast not for an emergency visit) Recap- last monday evening Ruby our bearded dragon started black bearding and it wasn't going away. He wouldn't eat his favorite foods or move much. Sometimes he's just grumpy and might have to 馃挬. Tuesday and Wednesday morning we gave him baths. He finally 馃挬 Wednesday morning. Usually he's happy after. Well He still wasnt.. I called speak Wednesday afternoon. Got him in Wednesday at 630pm for an emergency visit. They said he looked great (minus the obvious black beard) he was moving around trying to get away from them. They suggested xray and blood work. We did both. Xray was good, that started it showed bones could use more calcium to up it 3x a week... The blood work They said could take a day or 2. I spent $580!!!! Fast forward. He wasn't doing well Friday, getting worse, breathing weird etc. I called to see about blood work (this is day 2) it wasn't in yet. They told me to take him to cornell... I called Cornell, they don't see reptiles for emergency visits.. to call back Monday at 8. I told them I'm not sure if he'll make it til Monday:( I tried calling every vet in the area.... just to see if ANYONE would see him. Unfortunately Ruby passed away while I was still calling around. It was heart breaking as he didn't peacefully pass away. Our poor baby had tremors and then his entire body was violently shaking. Im assuming a seizure. He hissed at Chris. (Something he has never done) then passed away. It was horrible seeing him like that. Well today is WEDNESDAY! A WEEK from when I took him to the vet, I still haven't heard anything. So early this morning i called to see if blood work was in, I would like answers. I expressed how I was upset bc I was told it would only take a day or 2 and a week later I still haven't recieved results. I updated them on ruby's passing and because they wouldn't see ruby and recommended cornell but cornell wouldn't see him.. I am not happy. The receptionist said the "results came in 10 mins ago" and that the Dr is in an appointment and will call me back..Still nothing- for the entire day. I spent almost $600 for testing and my baby died and I still have NO ANSWERS! DON'T GO HERE. They clearly don't care. I also logged into the portal after all this and now everything on ruby is gone, his profile, his past appointment - I'm heartbroken

Great place. Staff is very nice. They are looking for a person to adopt an 8 year old female cat(the one with longer brown fur) (has been spayed).

I can鈥檛 go to explain the love and compassion I feel every time I bring one of my animals to Speak. Dr Mindy was so amazing yesterday while I had to do one of the hardest things I鈥檝e ever done. Saying goodbye to my 14 y/o pup Tennessee was so tough but it was the right thing to do. He had an amazing life and not only was I his person, he was my emotional support dog. Thank you Dr Mindy and all the ladies in the office for being so supportive and sweet 馃挋馃挃馃挋馃槩馃グ
