I have 7 min pins. So far, I've had my two females spayed & 1 male neutered. I have 4 more males to neuter as soon as I have the money. They are very kind and professional and are extremely fair with their prices. I live an hour away in NY, and it is well worth the drive. NY vets are ridiculously overpriced, and I refuse to be taken advantage of. I highly recommend Spay Neuter Save Network for all your veterinary needs.

Welcome to Spay Neuter Save Network
The Spay Neuter Save Network, situated at 1355 Main St, Rome, PA 18837, USA, stands as a critical "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter services, alongside other vital veterinary procedures, at remarkably affordable rates. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, their mission is profoundly impactful: to ensure the best quality of life possible for animals in shelters/rescues, community cats, and pets owned by individuals facing financial hardship in the Twin Tiers region. This commitment stems from the belief that no animal should suffer due to a lack of accessible veterinary care.
The environment at Spay Neuter Save Network is characterized by its focus on efficiency and compassionate care, even amidst a high volume of procedures. Having transitioned from mobile clinics operating in community centers and fire halls to a permanent location in Rome, PA, they now possess more dedicated space to conduct surgeries. This evolution allows them to assist a greater number of animals. While reviews highlight their professionalism and kindness, indicating a comforting atmosphere for both pets and their owners, the primary emphasis remains on delivering essential surgical services effectively and affordably. Their operations are designed to be streamlined, allowing them to manage a significant caseload while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.
The services offered by Spay Neuter Save Network go beyond just spaying and neutering, though these remain their core focus due to their critical role in population control and animal health. Their comprehensive offerings include:
- High-Quality, High-Volume Spay/Neuter Services: This is the cornerstone of their practice, providing affordable surgical sterilization for both dogs and cats. They cater to pets of various sizes and temperaments, including those that might be considered difficult to handle. This service is vital for reducing pet overpopulation, decreasing the number of animals in shelters, and preventing numerous health issues in pets.
- Additional Surgical Services: Beyond routine spay/neuter, the network also performs non-routine surgeries. Customer testimonials explicitly mention procedures like the removal of growths (mass removals), enucleations (eye removals), and hernia repairs. This demonstrates their capacity to address more complex medical needs that would typically incur significantly higher costs at a traditional private practice.
- Pet Dental Care: Recognizing the importance of oral health, Spay Neuter Save Network provides dental cleanings (scaling and polishing) and tooth extractions. They cap the cost of dental procedures, making essential dental care accessible and preventing systemic illnesses that can arise from poor oral hygiene.
- Vaccinations: As part of their comprehensive approach, they often include vaccinations with their surgical packages, ensuring pets receive crucial immunizations against common diseases.
- Microchipping: For pet safety and identification, microchipping services are available, providing a permanent link between lost pets and their owners.
- Flea Treatment and Deworming: These preventative treatments are often included or available to further ensure the overall health of the animals under their care.
- Pre-operative and Post-operative Care: Patients receive pre-operative assessments and post-operative pain medication, with dissolvable sutures often used to negate the need for a follow-up visit for stitch removal, unless otherwise noted by the veterinarian.
A standout feature of Spay Neuter Save Network, and a key reason for its high recommendations, is its extremely fair and reasonable pricing. This is a direct result of their non-profit status, which allows them to access donation revenue streams to subsidize the cost of services. Clients, some traveling long distances from other states like New York, consistently attest to the significant cost savings compared to traditional veterinary clinics, emphasizing that the quality of care is not compromised by the lower price. For example, a customer highlighted paying "roughly 400 USD less" than their regular vet for a neuter procedure, and another spoke of extensive surgery for a cat at around $200, which would typically cost substantially more at a corporate vet. This accessibility makes critical veterinary care possible for a wider segment of the population, including those facing financial hardship, ensuring pets do not suffer from lack of care.
Customer reviews consistently praise the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and understanding of pet owners' emotional concerns. One client, nervous about their dog's spay surgery, noted that the staff "understood and even invited us to stay as long as we needed for my daughter to be comfortable," demonstrating a patient-centric approach. Another reviewer appreciated the quick scheduling, stating their dog "got in the same week I made the appointment, so there was no waiting and worrying myself out of getting it done." This responsiveness and empathetic service significantly enhance the client experience.
Promotional efforts by the Spay Neuter Save Network focus on their mission to combat pet overpopulation and alleviate the burden on shelters by providing affordable care. They actively work with shelters/rescues and community cat initiatives (Trap-Neuter-Return programs), and extend their services to pet owners facing financial difficulties. Their commitment to transparency in pricing and their clear articulation of the benefits of spaying and neutering – such as health improvements (reduced risk of infections and cancers), behavioral improvements (decreased aggression, reduced heat-related behaviors), and population control – serve as key promotional messages. They also emphasize that their services are for "all your veterinary needs," reinforcing their broader surgical and dental capabilities beyond just sterilization.
For individuals in the Rome, PA area, and indeed the broader Twin Tiers region, seeking compassionate and affordable veterinary care, particularly for spaying, neutering, and other essential surgeries, the Spay Neuter Save Network at 1355 Main St, Rome, PA, is an invaluable resource. They can be contacted at (570) 247-8383 or +1 570-247-8383 to schedule appointments and inquire about their services. Their dedication to animal welfare through accessible, high-quality care makes them a highly recommended and trusted institution in the community.

Apr 18, 2025 · Bill McLeanThey were wonderful! My cat was having trouble breathing and they were able to surgery on him that same day. He had a growth in his mouth causing some blockage to his nose and mouth. Their price was very reasonable and they even sent medication home with me. He is doing great now!
Feb 18, 2025 · Cheryl KeeneyLow cost spay/neuter services are getting harder to come by in urban areas. I drive 1.5 hours each way to come here because they are low cost and you can get an appointment within a few business days out. The fee includes things that are typically add ons at other places, so less surprises at pickup. The staff is knowledgeable, but more importantly, they are passionate about the well being of animals. If you are crazy about your pets, this is the place to bring them.
Jan 17, 2025 · Katie FebresHad taken in a kitty from outside, and feared she was expecting. I could not get anyone local to me to get a spay appointment but these guys said yes, we have space for you this week! Our new little girl will never be a mother now and they were great! Pricing was less than the normal vet also. Very friendly and caring.
