After $400 and something dollars the vet fail to address the problems that we came with .I had to call back to ask for medication myself to address the problems. All they do run unnecessary test don’t even call and follow up on animal condition. As long as you pay their bill, they don’t care about the treatment and its results.

Welcome to Southshore Animal Hospital at Frenchman's Creek

For pet owners in Metairie, Louisiana, and the surrounding areas seeking a "Pet Hospital" for their animals, Southshore Animal Hospital at Frenchman's Creek, located at 2221 Transcontinental Dr, Metairie, LA 70001, USA, is a local veterinary care provider. They can be contacted at (504) 887-1770 or their mobile number +1 504-887-1770. Reviews from pet owners present a mixed perspective on the services provided at this animal hospital, highlighting both positive and negative experiences.

One customer reported a negative experience, expressing dissatisfaction with the outcome of their visit despite incurring a significant cost of over $400. According to this review, the veterinarian failed to address the initial problems for which they sought care. The pet owner stated that they had to proactively call back to request medication themselves to treat their animal's condition. This reviewer also alleged that the clinic engages in running unnecessary tests and does not provide adequate follow-up on the animals' conditions. The sentiment expressed is that the hospital's primary concern is payment rather than the effectiveness of the treatment and its results. This review raises concerns about the thoroughness of the veterinary care and the level of post-treatment communication.

In contrast, another customer shared a very positive experience at Southshore Animal Hospital. This reviewer commended the entire staff as "very nice," specifically highlighting the friendliness of the veterinarian and their helper. They acknowledged being a potentially difficult client due to their concern for their pets but praised the staff's patience in addressing all their questions. The reviewer also mentioned that their cat, while not enjoying the visit (a common feline sentiment), did not detract from their overall positive impression. This customer was particularly pleased with the entire visit and found the prices to be reasonable, stating that Southshore Animal Hospital had become their new veterinarian. This review emphasizes the friendly and patient demeanor of the staff and the perceived affordability of the services.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive picture of the environment, services, and features of Southshore Animal Hospital. The positive review suggests a friendly and patient staff, which would contribute to a welcoming environment for pet owners, even if the animals themselves are apprehensive about vet visits. The mention of the veterinarian and their helper being friendly indicates a potentially compassionate approach to animal care. The fact that the staff took the time to answer all questions suggests a willingness to communicate with pet owners and address their concerns.

On the other hand, the negative review paints a picture of a clinic focused on generating revenue through testing rather than effectively diagnosing and treating ailments, coupled with a lack of follow-up care. If this account is accurate, the environment might feel impersonal or transactional, and the services might prioritize diagnostics over comprehensive treatment and patient communication.

In terms of services, based on the limited information, Southshore Animal Hospital undoubtedly offers veterinary consultations, diagnostic testing (as mentioned in the negative review), and likely dispenses medications (as the pet owner had to call back to request them). The positive review implies general pet care services, potentially including routine check-ups and treatments for common ailments. However, the specific range of services, such as surgery, vaccinations, dental care, or emergency services, cannot be determined from the provided information.

Features of the hospital are also difficult to ascertain. The positive review highlights the friendliness and patience of the staff as key features. The negative review, conversely, suggests a potential feature of prioritizing testing and payment over thorough care and follow-up. Without more information, it is impossible to objectively identify the distinguishing features of Southshore Animal Hospital.

There is no mention of any promotional information in either of the provided reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to describe any current discounts, special offers, or loyalty programs that Southshore Animal Hospital at Frenchman's Creek might have in place. Local users would need to contact the hospital directly to inquire about any such promotions.

In conclusion, Southshore Animal Hospital at Frenchman's Creek in Metairie, LA, is a "Pet Hospital" that has elicited contrasting experiences from its customers. One reviewer found the staff to be very nice, patient, and the prices reasonable, indicating a positive service encounter. However, another reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the perceived lack of effective treatment, alleged unnecessary testing, poor follow-up, and a transactional approach to care. Potential local users should consider these differing perspectives when deciding whether to entrust their pets' health to this clinic. Further investigation, such as seeking additional reviews or directly contacting the hospital to inquire about their services and approach to patient care, may be beneficial in making an informed decision.

This place is meh. Made an appointment for my two cats and when we went in the vet wasn’t even sure what we were there for. Also, I didn’t see them give my two cats and oral or physical examination, only their regular shots, and when I asked them about the physical, they said yes everything looked fine even though I didn’t see them do it at all. Pros: prices are decent. Professional? Questionable.

Every vet in the entire city gave me the run around, or outrageous prices. 24 hours my baby would have been gone! She needed an emergency spayed, or was going to literally bleed to death. First stop was on David dr where I cost 700 just to diagnose her. After that was offered surgery at 4500 bucks…. Not having that type of money, I brought her home and prayed! Called aspca but they were down due to hurricane.was recommended by an aspca worker to contact this place and the nicest receptionist listen to what I been threw, told me she’s going to collect files from other clinic n call me back. Finally she did with an awesome price of 900….and to be seen ASAP I go pick her up tomorrow and can’t wait to meet the doctors who I believe are in it for the love of animals and not just money…. My baby Tabitha will live to see another day, swim, car ride, walk, and be loved by her family. Because of this place.

The Vet was very kind in answering all questions concerning my senior wire haired terrier, my companion for about 14 of her 15 years of life. Sweet P was given an injection for pain & is currently showing less signs of discomfort. We continue our daily walks. It's these journeys together that become memories I'll hold dearly in my heart when she's gone. Thank you SAH for giving me more time with a loving 4 legged pal, my pup Sweet P.
