Southkent Veterinary Hospitals

After going here 20 years plus with various animals under the ownership and care of dr. Jackson and dr. Cashmier, the establishment has become completely consumed with greed and service to the poorest I've ever seen. I suspect more than half of these reviews are probably of internal doing. Nevertheless, my pets could probably fair better at the local pound compared to this establishment. Needless to say, I will NOT be coming back! As a matter of fact, after seeing what the Neo Veterinarian service has come to as a whole, I would be hard pressed to EVER get another family pet again... considering you're at the mercy of the lack of professionalism such as this, and not to mention the poisonous foods they sell at the local pet stores, for outrageous prices. The industry seems like one big scam now, at the expense of our precious time and hard earned money, from the local pet stores, right down to the local vets.. Most unfortunate for the younger kids and generations to see we live in such times of profound greed. It didn't used to be this way 25-35 years ago. Veterinarians used to go into the professions for the compassion of sick and hurt animals, Not the money, as they clearly do today. This once, Nobel and honest profession was not deigned for that.

I went in this morning with my 18yo dog. She went from bad to worse over the weekend. I called Monday morning and they got me in Tuesday morning. The vet who took care of me and my old girl was incredible. Patient and understanding. Listened and explained. Was very upfront and helped me carry her to my car. This is the worst part of loving an animal and her and the staff I dealt with were INCREDIBLE. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name. I was focused on other things.

We have attended Caledonia Southkent vet for over 20 years with all our pets and although they have changed certain things & become much more Expensive my beloved fur family are always well taken care of even in their deaths which is excruciating to let them go but the vets make it bareable and they are so kind. I was going to change after last visit for shots & they found infection the price was EXTREMELY High over 500.00 thats so pricey alot plus I travel 2.5 hours each way (5 hours there & back) to go to THIS vet bc even though I moved back to country my fur babies care is most important to me and They ARE THE BEST!!! ❤️ I Thank them for caring for Liri & she likes going there if it makes her comfortable than I am willing to give her that!! Dr. Burns is one of the kindest and most thoughtful person I have ever encountered. She went out of her way and above and beyond to make sure my dog could get the urgent surgery he needed. Dealing with such a stressful situation she explained everything and gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in good hands and fully explaining everything in detail. Can't think her enough for saving the day and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Great staff! Very compassionate! Very carrying. Place is very clean. Best prices vs vets in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They saw my German shepherd since he was like 8 months old till his death at 11 1/2 years. They were so amazing through all those years!! Best place to take your pets.
