The staff is very nice and the doctor. My dog is a bit anxious when going to the vet, and they kept her calm and handled her well. The doctor explained everything to me and answered any questions. Showed me how to care for her at home to give her the medication, which helped me a lot. It was very easy when I got home. Mine and Gypsys experience was great! I do recommend that if needing a vet to go. Thank you again

Feb 16, 2025 · Barbara ScaglioneDr. Dan & his team are incredible. I was going to different vets for years trying to get a diagnosis for my cat who was suffering from an unknown medical issue. Dr. Dan diagnosed & thoroughly explained my cats condition, provided the proper medication & came up with a long term treatment plan to get my fur baby feeling great again. The hospitality from all of the staff did not go unnoticed. Another plus is the cost for the visit was very reasonable. I highly recommend Southern Ocean Animal Hospital!
Jan 18, 2025 · Danielle ForresterDr. Dan and his staff at Southern Ocean Animal Hospital provided exceptional care to our puppy, Sadie. As we are new pet owners, they made us feel comfortable, explained all the information in great detail and answered any questions we had. They also have excellent communication as we are having some medical issues with her and provided quick intervention to help Sadie get better. She even got a feature on their social media! We look forward to having them care for our girl and would recommend them 100 times over!
Apr 11, 2025 · Christina AngelusDr. Dan and his team saved my pup Hero’s life! Hero is a sweet 3 year old standard golden doodle. We live in NYC but we were staying in the area when Hero began acting different. He first started by pacing throughout the night and then was very lethargic in the morning. Instead of waiting to bring him to our vet in NY, we decided to go to a local vet. We chose SOAH and I’m so thankful we did! As soon as we came in we were greeted by Megan! I was so anxious not knowing what was going on with Hero but Megan’s calm presence helped ease my nerves. Dr. Dan did a quick physical exam and knew we needed to get an x-ray done ASAP! After a quick x-ray, it was without a doubt my worst fear - Gastric Dilatation Volvulus (DVB), also known as Bloat. Dr. Dan and Megan calmly explained to me the seriousness of the situation and that it was important to act quickly. We agreed the best course was surgery and they immediately prepared Hero. After surgery was complete, Dr. Dan gave me a call and let me know the surgery was successful. Dr. Dan and Megan took incredible care of Hero post-op. Throughout the night and the next day, Megan updated me every couple of hours to let me know how Hero was doing. It was such a relief to know that Hero was in good hands. After discharge, SOAH checked in with us frequently to see how Hero was doing and help answer any questions. Hero is still in recovery but I know he has the best chance possible because of the care he received at SOAH. I never imagined this happening to our Hero, at least not so soon. I can’t imagine where we would be if we had not gone directly there. Dr. Dan and his team are honest, dedicated, professional, experienced, and kind. Put simply, they are incredible people! If you live in the area or are in a pinch nearby, please don’t hesitate to visit SOAH!
Dec 05, 2024 · Amanda CarterI can’t say enough great things about Southern Ocean Animal Hospital! My dog, Oliver, is very reactive, especially around other dogs and men, which makes vet visits stressful for both of us. But this was the first time we’ve ever had such a smooth, positive experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with respect and compassion. The staff was incredibly understanding of Oliver’s needs and went out of their way to make sure he felt comfortable. For the first time ever, Oliver got to walk into the lobby instead of having to use a back door—such a small thing, but it meant the world to me. Dr Pascetta was so patient and kind, taking the time to get to know Oliver and make him feel safe. The staff was equally amazing—calm, professional, and so accommodating. They truly went above and beyond to ensure both Oliver and I felt supported. This clinic is one of a kind, and I’m so grateful to have found them. If you’re looking for a team that genuinely cares and respects both you and your pet, I wholeheartedly recommend them!
