The vet techs were great. She was patient and understanding of snoops needs. We were able to get the needed blood sample. The doctor on the other hand was horrible scared to death of a dog even though my dog had a muzzle on .Will never let Dr Flynn touch my dog again. Incredibly slow no care in the world that my dog is terrified. He didn't even know the dog had a muzzle on because he didn't even look when he came into the office. It's this locations fault my dog is this way. They sent in 5 doctors to try and get blood and couldn't.. Now I have to sedate him just for a visit.

Welcome to South Ridge Veterinary Hospital: Broadaway Jeff DVM

South Ridge Veterinary Hospital, operating at 1920 S Ridge Ave in Kannapolis, North Carolina, USA, serves the local community as a Pet Hospital. While the designation suggests a facility dedicated to the health and well-being of animals, online reviews provide insights into the experiences of pet owners that present a mixed and concerning picture. Potential local users should carefully consider these accounts regarding the environment, services, and features of this veterinary practice.

Regarding the environment, one reviewer noted that the "vet techs were great," describing one as patient and understanding of their dog's needs, successfully obtaining a needed blood sample. This positive feedback suggests that at least some members of the support staff are skilled and compassionate in their interactions with animals. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by significant concerns raised about at least one of the veterinarians. The same reviewer described a doctor, identified as Dr. Flynn later in the review, as "horrible" and "scared to death of a dog," even while the dog was wearing a muzzle. This raises serious questions about the veterinarian's comfort level and ability to handle animals, potentially creating a stressful environment for both the pet and the owner. The reviewer also noted the doctor's slowness and apparent lack of concern for the dog's fear. The fact that multiple doctors (five, according to the review) were unable to obtain a blood sample without significant distress to the dog further suggests potential issues with the clinic's handling procedures for anxious animals, which the reviewer attributes to the location itself.

The services offered at South Ridge Veterinary Hospital appear to include routine procedures such as vaccinations and blood draws. The mention of difficulty in obtaining a blood sample, even with multiple attempts by different doctors, suggests potential limitations or inconsistencies in their service delivery, particularly when dealing with nervous or reactive animals. The fact that the owner now anticipates needing to sedate their dog even for a basic visit indicates a potentially negative impact of their experience at this clinic on the dog's overall demeanor towards veterinary care.

Concerns have also been raised regarding the appointment management and customer service aspects of this Pet Hospital. One former loyal customer stated that a recent experience left a "bitter taste" and would likely lead them to seek veterinary care elsewhere. This negative experience stemmed from a double-booking issue. The client had scheduled an appointment for their dog's overdue vaccines and, despite being reliable in terms of punctuality and attendance, received a call on the morning of the appointment stating that their appointment had been double-booked. Adding to their frustration, they were informed that they would be the one required to wait, despite having scheduled the appointment in advance and not being a last-minute booking.

This client expressed feeling that this situation demonstrated a "completely disrespectful" disregard for their time, rendering the act of scheduling an appointment "absolutely moot." They questioned the purpose of scheduling ahead if it could be disregarded for someone else who did not schedule in advance. While the client acknowledged that such an issue might be understandable for habitually late or no-show clients (which they explicitly stated they are not), they found it baffling that it occurred simply because they forgot to confirm their appointment via text. This incident points to potential issues with the clinic's appointment confirmation protocols and their handling of scheduling conflicts, suggesting a lack of consideration for clients who adhere to their appointment commitments.

The features of South Ridge Veterinary Hospital, based on these reviews, present a mixed bag. While some staff members, specifically the vet techs, are described as patient and understanding, the behavior of at least one veterinarian, as described, raises significant concerns about their ability to handle animals calmly and effectively. The appointment management practices, as detailed by one reviewer, appear to lack consideration for client time and the purpose of scheduling appointments in advance. The fact that a client who had been previously "in love with this location" is now likely to seek care elsewhere speaks volumes about the negative impact of these issues.

There is no promotional information available for South Ridge Veterinary Hospital: Broadaway Jeff DVM based on the provided text. Local users would need to contact the clinic directly at (704) 933-1414 or +1 704-933-1414 to inquire about any potential special offers or new client incentives.

In conclusion, the online reviews for South Ridge Veterinary Hospital: Broadaway Jeff DVM in Kannapolis present significant concerns that local users should carefully consider. While some positive aspects, such as the competence of the vet techs, are mentioned, these are overshadowed by serious allegations regarding a veterinarian's fear of dogs and the clinic's appointment management practices, including double booking and perceived disrespect for client time. The experiences shared suggest potential issues with both animal handling by some staff and the administrative processes of the Pet Hospital. Without additional information or a broader range of reviews, it is difficult to provide a fully comprehensive picture. However, the existing feedback raises red flags that prospective clients should be aware of and may wish to explore further before entrusting their pet's care to this facility. It would be prudent for local pet owners to seek additional opinions or contact the clinic directly to address the concerns raised in these reviews.

We used to be in love with this location until recently. Unfortunately, the following really left a bitter taste in our mouths. So much so I'll most likely take my dog some where else from now on. I made an appt for my dog to get his vaccines that where due. We've never been problem patients that don't show up to our appts or arrive late. So when confirming our pup's appt via text slipped my mind, I was surprised to get a call from them the morning of saying they had double booked my appt. On top of that, they told me I was the one that had to wait, though I'm the one that scheduled an appt and didn't call last minute to fit myself in. I personally feel that this is completely disrespectful of my time, and makes scheduling an appt absolutely moot. What's the point of scheduling an appt ahead of time if it's just going to be disregarded for someone else that didn't schedule ahead? I could completely understand them doing this if we were chronic no-shows or perpetually late. But we have made it our goal to not be these kinds of people. The fact that they did this because I forgot to confirm is baffling.
