The best vet around. Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable. They have always gone the extra mile for our pets
Apr 02, 2025 · Rebecca MorseI’ve had hit or miss experiences here. They are sometimes hard to get ahold of by phone but I can always email and get a response the next day. Other times I’ve just showed up and spoken to someone at the front desk. I’ve only been a client for the past two years so I don’t know the difference over time but there is sometimes a conflict over when the drs are in office or not. I’ve showed up unplanned w a dog in pain and gotten immediate help and I’ve been there to put a pet to sleep and was treated with complete kindness and care so any other hiccups will be forgiven. You might not get the same hours as a bigger office but I was treated much more kindly and with more understanding than I was with a much bigger practice closer to home so I will always recommend this office.
Dec 07, 2024 · Kathleen EnnisI cannot write enough good things about our Vet Hospital. They are extremely busy, and sometimes cannot get to the phone right away, but when they do I'm always greeted with kindness. Their Tech have talked to me over the phone countless times about symptoms and are always happy to have me bring the cats in to be seen, even that day. They answer all my silly questions and point me in the right direction. There's never any pressure or judgement. Dr. Allen said we have the most handsome cat in South Portland. Although he probably says that often, it just shows how much they care. My cat Raven even busted out of her carrier once and they had to use medical tape to repair it. Our other cat Gally often throws up, is on a prescription diet and was the runt of the litter so we keep an eye on him and South Portland Vet Hospital on speed dial. In my experience they have responsible pricing and I believe they even have a payment plan. Call today and chat to them, you wont regret it.
Sep 18, 2023 · marjswanNice place! We are from out of town and needed a prescription. No other vet would help us out. This place did not have an issue with it. Highly recommended.
Oct 08, 2022 · K CAlways excellent and personal service, I have come to rely on the South Portland Vet for both their expertise and good prices.
