Our 17 year old suddenly had a seizure and we brought him in to South Metro. The staff was so kind and caring and quick to help us get him on a gurney. The doctor (I can’t remember his name) was so kind. He sat on the floor with me and my husband and explained what options for treatment we had and throughly explained the euthanasia process and cremation options (they include and urn and paw print) we ultimately decided treatment would be too overwhelming for him and his old bones and made the decision to say goodbye. They were very accommodating when I asked if my grandmother could pay by email link and the process went very smoothly. When the time came the doctor again sat on the floor with me and told my sweet boy he was doing great and that it was okay as he administered the medications. I’m very thankful for making his last moments calming and peaceful for him and for us.

"My friend and I took in a stray cat who turned out to be pregnant. She gave birth to 4 kittens at my home. The day after mama gave birth, mama became unresponsive so I immediately rushed her and her kittens to South Metro. The techs were responsive and took them in right away. Dr. Vaughn let me know that 2 of the kittens would most likely need to be put down due to cleft palates and their inability to nurse/bottle feed. He went over every option with me and I decided it was best for the 2 kittens to be humanely euthanatized. He was very informative and very caring during the whole process. I don’t remember the techs names but they were amazing and caring as well. I am writing this review to not only give great regards to South Metro, but to also provide updates on the remaining 2 kittens. They are doing amazing and are thriving. We are so so grateful for the amazing and kind staff that helped us when no one else would."

The reviews made me skeptical but, after taking my cat here twice in one week. Dont listen to the negative reviews of karens. My cat was struggling with what i thought was a uti, and as soon as we walked in the door they took him back no wait at all. They throughly explained what they were doing and never did anything extra without consulting with me first. Yes its expensive but, generally on the lower side and they do whatever they can to get that cost down for you. For my cat to be treated twice, including 3 prescriptions, and a couple day supply of his new prescription food, we paid around $2,300 total. If your animal is in an emergency, i recommend South Metro, they were all so nice and saved my cats life!

Amazing care. Our westie, Linus, needed emergency treatment after accidently ingesting an ibuprofen tablet at home today. It was a busy night, and there were alot of very obviously emotional cases being treated. The front desk staff (Harley and Megan) handled all of it with grace and such care. Consoling clients in emotional distress, while answering constantly ringing phones, cleaning up sick pet messes, and helping to coordinate care. WOW! The techs and vet (Dr. McGuigan) we worked with were professional, skilled and sensitive as well. Thank you to everyone at South Metro Emergency Care. Our little Linus is home now and hopefully on the mend. We are confident he got top notch care.

We had a wonderful experience when we had to say goodbye to our dog on a cold Wednesday night! The Dr. and all the staff were top notch. They felt like family by the time we left that cold night. Today we picked up our boy's ashes. Staff were very sympathetic and once again top notch! I would highly recommend them!
